It used to be fashionable to celebrate men’s alleged superiority over women-Aristotle referred to women as defective men. Philosophers like Immanuel Kant and Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Friedrich Nietzsche deemed women intellectually inferior to men. Fortunately, those male chauvinistic days are mostly gone. But today a new kind of reverse, female chauvinism prevails. It is so common, social scientists have given it a name: the WOMEN are WONDERFUL phenomenon-WAW for short. Here is a sample of recent WAW headlines. Let’s consider some common claims of female superiority: Multi-tasking: It is a truth universally recognized that women are better at multi-tasking; Here is the British writer Sir Ken Robinson in one of the most watched TED talks of all time: “I think this is probably why women are better at multitasking. Because you are, aren’t you? There’s a raft of research, but I know it from my personal life.” Sir Robinson refers to a “raft of research” Well, where is it? What we have is a handful of small, inconclusive, inconsistent studies. Some show women are better-while others find that it’s men who excel. Thomas Buser a researcher at University of Amsterdam, took a careful look at the data and concluded that, “As far as gender differences are concerned, we do not find any evidence for them in the effects of multitasking.” It turns out that neither sex is particularly good at focusing on more than one thing at once. Niceness: What about the claim that women are just a lot nicer than men? According to film critic Roger Ebert: “Women are nicer than men… in terms of their lifelong natures, women are kinder, more empathetic, more generous. And the sooner more of them take positions of power, the better our chances as a species.” Is he right? Well, when it comes to generosity, kindness, and altruism, once again you find lots of dueling studies. But one of the most thorough and careful surveys was carried out by Tom Smith and his team at the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago. Unlike many other studies of altruism, this one was not limited to a small, unrepresentative sample of college students. Also, Smith and his team asked questions that included both male and female styles of altruism. Women tend to adopt nurturing and caring roles toward people they know-while men excel at good deeds and acts of kindness involving strangers. In Smith’s survey, women proved to be more empathetic than men: they were more likely to feel pity for others and to describe themselves as softhearted. But when it came to the empirically critical measure of generosity-how much do you actually do for others-the results were different. When Smith and his colleagues tallied up the results, they found that the score was even. “Gender,” Smith concluded, “is not notably related to altruistic behaviors.” Advantage: Neither sex. Both sexes have their graces and their own styles of being virtuous. Neither has a monopoly on good or evil. How did we lose sight of this obvious truth? Because we're in the age of WAW. The rules of the Women are Wonderful game make it impossible for men to win: If women do something better than men, that is evidence of their superiority. If men outperform women, that's proof of discrimination-retrograde patriarchy and toxic masculinity. To violate the spirit of WAW is to invite havoc. Suggest, as the former president of Harvard Larry Summers did, that men may have some innate advantages in math and spatial reasoning, and prepare to change your job.

I really don't understand why people care so much about what the rest of their gender is doing. I don't care if men or women are better, I only care about making myself a better person. What's the point anyway? Bragging rights? To try and put the other gender down? It's interesting to see studies, but at the end of the day we are all individuals.

They did an experiment in Japan with schoolkids. The boys were given a big pile and sweets and left to decide who gets the sweets. In the majority of cases the boys decided to just give everyone the same amount. They repeated the experiment but this time they gave the big pile of sweets to the girls. In the majority of cases the girls kept most of the sweets for themselves and only gave sweets to the boys they liked.

I mean... it's fact that men are generally built stronger than women physically which is why in older days (medieval ages) they weren't allowed to do hard labor, but I would hardly consider most people saw them as inferior beings, it was honourable for men to protect women because they were birth givers and weaker than men physically. It had nothing to do with them being inferior in a lot of cultures. It's something often overlooked about historical facts.
These modern feminists are getting stupider every single day, we Mens treat them like so special but at the end of the day they said we oppressed them. Mens do all the risky, difficult-life threatening jobs but guess what these modern feminists only wanted to be the BOSS.
Something i can understand seeing as a problem is stuff like in some religions, you are allowed to lightly beat your wife if she "misbehaves." But thats just their religion and beliefs. But its not like the entire world is beating their wives. Hi Lincoln, I found websites and You Tubes about both ideas. The You Tubes regarding women were mostly about very criminal women. I think what is so awful is that we know that there are some evil women who hurt people or murder them. However when men do such crimes, it's seen more like an example of what men are fundamentally like whereas the evil women are seen more like the exceptions. We have such judgemental and discouraging attitudes towards men whereas we are always finding another example of another wonderful woman e.g. Marie Curie and making a film about her. And we are much more likely to make a children's film starring a heroic little girl than a boy. We need to even things up and encourage everyone.

If women are sooo good at multitasking how come they can't have sex when they have a headache?
Have you ever watched those good samaritan videos that are plastered all over TH-cam? The ones that show real life heroes risking their lives to save a stranger? Check them out. You'll notice that in nearly every case where someone runs onto a track in front of a speeding train or dives into an icy river or puts themselves between an armed attacker and someone else, it's nearly always men. Meanwhile, women will be shown on the edges of the frame with cell phone in hand calling for help or just running around in a panic while the man gets the job done. And that's the difference between the sexes and it is inescapable.
Now that sounds like I'm denigrating women with that comment, but I'm not. It's just a recognition that men have evolved certain behaviors that tend to prompt us to risk ourselves for the good of others, while women have evolved behaviors that tend to make them avoid such dangers. Men are also tougher and stronger than women (another inescapable fact that feminists simply refuse to acknowledge), making us better suited to succeed in those dangerous situations. These are facts as determined by our evolutionary biology and no amount of cultural marxist propaganda will ever change it.
So feminists, instead of bitching about male aggressiveness and competitiveness, why don't you just say "thank you" and then shut the fuck up. Because the chances are, if you ever get into a serious, life threatening jam, it's going to be a man putting himself in harm's way to get your arrogant, ungrateful ass out of it, even when he knows how arrogant and ungrateful your are. There are different aspects to each gender, but women shouldn't be groveling at men's feet because of their differences, and they especially shouldn't stand for people like you calling them "arrogant, ungrateful," for absolutely no reason.
The world is becoming a less violent place, being aggressive isn't necessarily a good thing like you point it out to be, but again, it isn't a bad thing, it's an aspect of the gender, just like women's femininity.

You're right about the academic definition written in the 1920's to describe women's equal rights movement groups. I remember my grandma telling me she wanted to be a pilot when she was young, but it wasn't allowed for women to fly. She had to fight againts that stupid "law" for years until the first woman was allowed to fly in my country. That doesnt happen anymore... TODAY, feminism as such has no sense in a society where women have all the freedom to be who they want to be. There are no walls on education, jobs, or almost anything for that matter... so... what does feminism fight for these days? I think FoserkGaming is right. A lot of feminists (not all ofcourse) are looking for priviledges over men... I know a bunch of them that state: "we (women) Have been oppressed for centuries, now its time for men to be oppressed by us" I really don't think that feminism should be a thing anymore. We should have a movement that promotes gender equality under a name that doesnt focus on one gender over the other. FEMINISM comes from female rights, so maybe we should start looking for "equality"... not only gender equality, but also race, dissabilities, cultures, religions, and all the stupid bullshit we create to separate from each other. Umbuko DaJuko I outdid over 90 percent of the men in my company on the 12 mile ruck (foot) march every time. 12 miles in 2:40 was my best time. They give you 4 hours to do it. Many times, I did it on my period. It’s more than just bleeding. It’s hormonal imbalance, bloating, and pain. Also, I always scored over 90 percent in each pt event, many times scoring on the extended scale, which means that I could always pass the male or test too. I was also a medic, so I had an extra packing list. That means that I was carrying more than the 250 lb tankers while being more than 120 lbs lighter.

I never want to be a man. Men are taught that they shouldn’t have feelings or compassion-two things that I am very glad to have. I own my own home, unlike many men I know. The ones that do usually have women to do their housework and raise their children. Thank you for the reminder of why I gave up on men.
Men are definitely never happy. That’s why when you’re competing in the Struggle Olympics, you mention that more men die from suicide. Women are happier and much safer away from men. Men are killed more often than women, but by other men, usually. Women are usually killed by a man who says that he loves her. I don’t care what man hates me, I just want women and children to be safer.
Also, more men die from suicide, but women attempt twice as many times. That’s because, even at death’s door, a woman is oftentimes considerate of the person who will find them. Men sometimes use suicide as a final “fuck you” to the world or whoever they think is responsible and want there to be a huge mess to clean up. My exes and many battle buddies taught me that.
