I went to Mexico and took it. Overall it can interrupt an addiction. But there is still work involved and the individual must want to be free of addiction. While there are dangers associated with ibogaine treatment, it is much safer overall than every day opiate abuse

I was in the 513 study in Dunedin. Very interesting to be part of.

Doesn't give much actual information on whether it works or not.
I am really curious about this subject, I have multiple family members with heroin problems, one of whom died recently (saved by the drug Narcan). One is on methadone maintenance but often uses.
I hope to see more, conclusive information on which direction to point them in.

For all the "big pharma derp derp derp" there's sure a LOT of money being made off of Ibogaine, especially in more developing nations.
What's interesting to me is the fact that it's not an opioid agonist...So I really have to question these claims of "it takes your withdrawals" away.
I've heard from some people who did take it, and they said this for sure is not true, you become even sicker when you take it.
Some clinics even tell people that they won't take them if they're still using or detoxing, they want them to get clean first, and then have Ibogaine treatments.
All this leads me to believe that this was sold as something it isn't and that it's more or less like ayahuasca, it's an entheogen that's being used to get people to experience a trip and maybe change their minds about their addictions. Or maybe I'm wrong...there's just not enough information, damnit.

My friend died after ibogaine. A few days after the trip they took ayauasca to reinforce whatever effects ibogaine provided.
He laid down, said i love you all and died. No one he knew was with him but im grateful he died in a peaceful way.
If only we could all die like that.

That is total bullshit. How could u know what he said before he died if no one was with him? And if someone took Ayahuasca right after Ibogaine they would be effectively abusing both plants. That would be totally reckless and not either plants fault but the fault of the person abusing such plants. You are just trying to scare people away from a healing plant. Do u have shares in the poppy fields of Afghanistan or shares in a methodone clinic?

@@sandramcshane1747 they said no one he knew was there but he laid back closed his eyes and said I love you All. Other people .... that he did not know .. were there it sounds like. I take it those people had something to do with a place he had gone to or were other patients and when his family or friends were contacted the story was related.
I dont know about ayahuasca being so dangerous to take a few days after Ibo ..... what is that about that suprises me a little.

Why does Psilocybin get to be decriminalized? #Ibogaine is a #LifeSaver

I OFTEN wonder if the only reason PAIN & PAIN PILLS WITHRAWAL is being addressed by U.S. doctors is due to shortage of opioids & OPIOID Script $$$ that paid their mortgage.

    • @ashsherman
      @ashsherman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

It'sa not being addressed, please elaborate. Ive been on methadone mostly on than off for 25 years. If off i was on subs and once i lasted 3 months but was still so sick and bed ridden i gave in, sold my car, flew back to a city that had easy access to opiates.
There were zero in montanna in 2001 or 2.
