- Katherine of Aragon died on January 7, 1536 at Kimbolton Castle. Katherine was Henry VIll's first wife and mother to his elsdest child, Mary I. Henry VIll and Katherine had in total 6 children together- including a boy that lived for 52 days which they named Henry. They were married nearly 24 years by the time their marriage was annulled by Bishop Cranmer in 1533. I tell you more about her final days and death here.

Evelyn Edwards is a successful American actress and photographer. She has appeared on such shows as National Geographic’s Hydrogen vs. Hindenburg, Bosch, Criminal Minds, Castle, The Mentalist, Parenthood, The Thundermans, The Kicks, Marry Me, Outsourced, the Academy Award winning film Her, and the Ridley Scott Associates film Loom.
Evelyn began her career in opera. She has performed with some of the opera industry’s leading conductors and singers including: Placido Domingo, Valery Gergiev, Kent Nagano, Eva Marton, Vladimir Chernov, Goesta Winburg, and others.
She has had the privilege of working with such famed directors as Oscar winner Maximilian Schell, Julie Taymor, Gian-Carlo Del Monaco, and Lotfi Mansuri during her tenure with Los Angeles Opera. Ms. Edwards made her professional singing debut at the age of 13, operatic debut at 19, and national television commercial debut at six months.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master of Music degree from UCLA and a Professional Studies Diploma from Mannes College of Music. She lives with her husband in the United Kingdom, where they share their passion and love for castles and photography together.

I fully believe he loved her, the reason all of this happened is she did not give him a son that lived (she Katherine did have a son) little prince Henry died at a few weeks old. The others were either miscarries or still born, so because of this Henry genuinely started to believe the marriage was curse due to her being married to his brother Arthur briefly. There is a reason Katherine was his Queen longer than the rest combined. Make no mistake about it, if Katherine has produced a baby boy who lived, the other wives would never have happened. As Henry said himself Kathrine is was model wife in every way but one…. They were happy for the majority of their marriage, people forget also that at first he never intended for Anne B to be a wife, he just wanted her as a mistress, it was until Anne was like hell no, it will ruin me that he was like dam I have to have her. The more and more I learn about Katherine the more I love her. She was so much more than the discarded old wife. Much much more

Back then though people were kinda stupid, but honestly it shouldn’t have matter, woman being rulers worked, Henry knew that as he knew Isabella of Castile was a great ruler. He could not except it though as England was still worried about how when Empress Matilda tried to take her rightful Throne after her Father Henry I died and it threw England into a civil war, even though Henry I wanted her to be his heir and had all his noble swear loyalty to her. So Henry VIII was still hung on all that. People were not good at evolving back then, honestly people still are not. We have come so far and yet we still have so far to go

Catherine was 50 years old when she died, whilst Henry was but 43. By the time Henry was 50 years old, he was on to his 5th wife.
Her autopsy was suppressed? Makes me wonder a few things: How many high profile autopsies are suppressed today? How many of those will come to light in the future? Will it be in our lifetime? How many suppressed autopsies were suppressed that never came to light? When was Katherine of Aragon's autopsy unveiled?
No. They didn’t have the knowledge or terminology for Cancer then- when they saw what the saw they said it was poison. Most modern historians/scientists believe she had heart cancer based on her autopsy.

No she did not. Modern historians and scientists believe she had cancer. But they did not have that knowledge and terminology then.

H8 has to be one of the worst royal husbands in history. He used, abused and then tossed aside his wives except his last one. Poor Catherine! Her life as an Infanta of Spain couldn’t prepare her for the heartache ahead once she moved to England. May she Rest In Peace.

What is the background of a new claim I hear that she was actually a difficult, domineering and controlling wife? Is there any validity to thesr claims outside the fact that she refused to get divorced?
Oh heavens. There are a million interpretations of anything I suppose. I don’t personally think that is the case….as historians all we can do is read what we have that is written and then after that piece together a whole life and personality and hopes and dreams.
