HA. This is the forst time I have pulled the Bulova trigger myself. After shooting this video I fell for the Gold Seville. Now added to my collection. Its just a fun addition. Love it. And that smooth sweep is great. AND. I dont like date complications due to having many watches in the collection. I dont like resetting the date all the time. BUT with a quartz version. Well then the date only goes out a handful time throughout the year. So in this case. I like the date complication.
I think Im going to pull the trigger on the gold version. Something about it has won me over and I have NO gold in my collection right now. I think this could be the forst. And the price is so on point!
I bought my first bulova when I was 17, finance it it was $300 back in 1988 to establish my first credit. I still have it amd still works amd still wear it some times. Now I'm really eye balling this green Seville 💚
I have the green one and can't stop wearing it over any other in my small collection... 7.25 in wrist and it fits like a glove (thought it would be tiny)
Yep I pulled the trigger on the Gold. SOmething about it is super fun compared to my collection. I also really love the comfort and quality factor. Seriously this punches well above its pricepoint
I own a blue one. The dial color tone subtly changes with the viewing angle. Didn’t know about the movement until I saw it in motion on a video which clinched it for me. I now have many Bulovas in my collection and can’t wait to see what they do next.
I have my eyes square on teh gold. That white dial and verticle brushing and contrasted with the gold works so well. And that smooth sweep. This is def the territory where ALL quartz watches should head!!!! they would win many hearts back i believe
I think the best part of this low cost offering is the Precisionist moveement. Its accurate and butter smooth sweep. Will be a great addition to the collection that might not get loads of wrist time. But when it does. Its just a standout piece that a pleasure to wear. My pick is the GOLD
For sure this would have been the icing on the top. maybe in the future they will introduce a screw down crown. then you have certified robust elegance
I genuinely don't understand why watch companies would make a watch with the lowest water resistant rating, how hard is it to just start from 50m and after resistance? 😅😅
I agree the extra branding at 6 was unnecessary and takes away from the aesthetic. I also wish they had more color ways. I would give serious thought to owning a black variant.
I'm increasingly convinced by "robust elegance" as a category. I think if I ever launched a microbrand that's where I'd aim it. You're 100% right on the stone dials - can you imagine that green in Malachite? Oof. I'm not personally put off by the precisionist branding. If I had to make a choice of what to change here, it'd be to do away with the cyclops. Bottom line, its a great tribute to the original, packed with a highly accurate movement. Well played, Bulova. Also at 1:46, is our model wearing a Breitling charm?
What is the wrist size of the model in this review if I might ask? I am looking forward to that green dial but with a 6.5 inch wrist, not sure if I have enough real estate for a 38mm in a square form.
I love that watch, but wouldn’t spend the price to buy one. This really satisfies that itch for me, without me feeling like a gave something up (yes the glashutte is a much better quality, high end watch, but for whatever reason both watches speak to me equally)
The 30M WR is very disappointing. At 100M it would be a no-brainer. At 50M I'd do it with a little hesitation. At 30M, I'll probably still buy it but am slightly annoyed. Imagine them pricing up $200 and including 100M WR, quick disconnect on the bracelet, and a rubber strap option 😍😍
Would anyone know whether the Bulova - 97D120 bracelet has pin and collar bracelet pins or are they split pins? Appreciate it if anyone can help me out. I won't tackle resizing a bracelet with pin and collar due to lack of sensation in my hands. Otherwise I love to tinker with my watches myself.
I can tell you as I sized these watches up for the shoot. They are split pins. Not pin and collar. Pretty easy to resize. I liked the gold one so much I bought it! sensational value
@@marcusflack1523 Thanks, with that knowledge I can now size that bracelet myself. I despise pin and collar. Those watches that you have there are really beautiful. Cheers
@@gerardhiggins1 just a thought. I just noticed your question is referring to a specific bracelet from Bulova. I thought your question was related directly to these new super Seville bracelets. If the bracelet you are asking about is different to the super sevilles then I can’t say for sure if it’s a split pin. Sorry if I misunderstood your question.
We r global. Most of our audience is based in the USA. However we still maintain the Australian approach and voice. Zach did the voiceover for this video. He is about as knowledgeable as they come. I’m Australian and live in amsterdam. Andrew now lives in London.
If this thing had 100 meter water resistance it would be effing unbeatable. I think they could even charge a few hundred dollars more and people would happily buy.
I keep saying the same thing. I hate to be that guy, but this watch would really be perfect with 100m water resistance. I don’t even care if it has a screw down crown. I recently handled one in person, and it had a really nice feel to it. I even prefer it to the prx (another watch I really like), but I think the 30m wr might keep me from picking one up.
Depends who you ask. I actually bought the gold version. Perfect on my 7 inch wrist. Loved it that much after shooting it I just had to pull the trigger.
I think you should check this one out for yourself. After shooting it. Im gonna get the gold version. I really love it. And being a smooth sweep and quartx. The price is SOOOOOO right for the offer. The quality in my opinion is very high for its category. And I handle and shoot a lot of watches. If you get a chance. Try it on.
Don’t think it is fair to say Bulova in general has no quality. For what they charge, and what they deliver, I would say Bulova does a great job in most instances. -Z
@Timeandtidewatches not at all, some models, in EU, are as expensive as Tissot, for example. Now, if you call yourself a watch expert, just look at the dial, and you can feel the gap between a Bulova and a Tissot, to not mention the bracelets..No, Bulova quality, sounds low level, compared to Tissot.
262khz on the dial? What an awful idea to print it there. Absolutely pointless. Why not print msrp 650 on the dial too? This way you'll always know the kilohertz and price you paid. Info so important it needs to be on the dial Ridiculous.
I haven't been interested in owning a Bulova until this release.
Now I'm here watching reviews.

A red dial would be cool 😎 - Z

Can get the steel with a white brushed dial too. Bought one a few months ago. Barely taken it off. Really nice watch
Yeah thgat white dial is so well excecuted
White/silver dial really showcases the vertical brush - Z
@@Timeandtidewatches blue seconds hand on the steel white dial gives it a real nice pop of colour too
Great a video & nice timepiece for the money. I will wait for the automatic movement variant to come out

Man, that is one beautiful watch.
Co,pletely agree. And the price value cant be matched in my opinion
Very cool release
Stone dial would be 👌, bring back the 70's vibe with paiget
Yessssss
I always liked Bulova's lunar moon watch. It comes in black and and a white with blue trip "Snoopy" version. I like the white/blue trim one best.
Whilst i find these 3 colours a bit "dull", i'm hoping for something more special, a stone dial like you said would be an instant buy for me!
30 m wr just killed it for me !
For sure this would have been the icing on the top. maybe in the future they will introduce a screw down crown. then you have certified robust elegance
I love it. If anything, I'd like to see it thinner. Maybe 8mm or so.
I genuinely don't understand why watch companies would make a watch with the lowest water resistant rating, how hard is it to just start from 50m and after resistance? 😅😅
I've tried them and chose the gold one, the best vintage aura one
Im totally with you on that choice. Its really interresting addition to the collection.

My wrist size in this video is 6.7 inches. So I think it could work very well on your wrist
@@marcusflack1523 thank you. Just picked one up in green.
@@slimwrist1143so what do you think about it?
If you ever wondered what the Glashütte Original Seventies would look like with a fluted bezel... now we know.
Exactly my thoughts!
Wish the GO was this size

I bet a rose tone with a brown face would look nice . These are nice watches .
Does anyone know if its possible for the markings at 6 o'clock to be removed?
Anything is possible with cash I guess.
Stone is already passé, bring back burl! :)
Heyyyyy now that would be so great. And very different. Like driving in an old vintage luxury car with high walnut polished dash.
@@marcusflack1523 exaaaactly!
i know it's boring but i'd love a sunburst black or grey dial
Was surprised also to not see a black or white dial.
@@simontvrner Lets see where they take this line. I for one really think they have nailed it.
Gold with onyx dial please!
That would be awesome

Holding out for burgundy dial
Now that would be pretty special for sure

Beautiful watch although I find the Arsenale of Venezianico having the hype of Parmigiani more appealing.

Can anyone here recommend a good watch shop in Miami I will be on holiday and are looking for a nice watch in this sort of price range
Shit that’s nice
I like these buy not for twice the price of a Tsuyosa
