    With a fall like that and your exhaust coming out right where it does I would check to make sure you didn't ruin your exhaust tip bearings. Don't want that tip falling off.

    Lmao! You could have changed those shocks with the tires still on the truck 😂🤣😂 nice one 👍👍

  • @tct72

    That main thing is that nobody got hurt. I use to be bad for doing things like that until I dropped a mustang on myself. The rocker was on my stomach and the floor was sitting on the side of my head just enough that I couldn't move it. The only thing that saved me was the rear tire somehow got shoved under the car and the rear axle landed on the edge of it. Not sure how the tire got under there because I never put it there, maybe it got pushed out of the way of something else and just ended up where it was. Don't trust those stands you ended up using either if you work on stuff outside, they can sink in the ground just as fast as a jack and become unstable. A couple of old wheels and some wood make really nice stands and they are sturdy. Stay safe boys.

      Lucky man. As bad as it all is, things happen. Nobody getting hurt makes the problem just a bad day, not a tragedy.

      I almost got ran over by my own truck because I didn't have the parking brake on and I was underneath it and I was installing headers and you gotta go from the bottom. I was in my truck and I accidentally bumped my transmission lever and my whole truck started to roll backwards and I quickly got out from under the truck jumped in the cab and slammed my parking brake on

    Should of used bilstien shocks and that wouldn't have happend !!!! Next time jack up the truck front the front axle. Put blocks and stands under the frame then let the axle hang with floor jack still under it but not supporting the truck. It will save your legs. He was right to put that tire under there. Saved your feet buddy !!!!! Buy him some lunch

  • @boomsaucexx1866
    @boomsaucexx1866 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    You can change shocks without even jacking up the truck or removing wheels. I do it on my 250 no problem. Also you can go that route and put it on the axle. It won't compress enough to bottom out your shock. Just a bit of advice for the future

  • @bucketsamson8314
    @bucketsamson8314 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    The front axle doesn't need to hang to change shocks. You can compress a shock by hand. In fact that shock probably could have been changed without removing the wheel at all. Since you're working on grass it would have been much safer to leave that wheel on the truck.

    No hate comments. But I'm just very confused. If you were just installing shocks, you didn't even need to jack it up... I didn't even take my tires off when I did mine. Live in Oklahoma on back roads and I have a 2002 7.3. just did it 2 weeks ago. But I'm glad you didn't get hurt. Other than that. Good vid guys.

  • @TheFeller1554
    @TheFeller1554 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    9:50 The truck fell because there were no jack stands. They put a jack stand under there, but it is 3" from touching anything, and the truck is still being worked on while being supported by the jack. WTF In case you didn't know, you are supposed to lift the vehicle, raise the jack stand to the closest notch from touching the frame. Then let the truck down on the jack stand. If the jack stand hasn't got the weight of the vehicle on it, you are better off not having it under there at all. If the jack kicks out and the jack stand is under there not touching it going to shoot out like a rocket.
