On water cooled 2 strokes the piston will expand and seize in the bore if not allowed to warm up for several minutes and outboards can suffer the same problem even when clearances are correct.i use extra oil in the premix when i put new pistons in and make sure the jets are clean so there is no lean condition.on new outboard engines double oil is standard through break in

You need to see some Two stroke squish video, and bye more seals ro rise the cylinder, you need to know piston ring gap to. If you torque a sylinder use low torque first on all bolts and add a little torque at the time
those wires screw into the plug boot. if it ever pulls out, or losses connection, cut the last 1/4 in or so off and screw the boot back on. the little pin that makes contact with the wire is a screw
The spark plug cap usually screws onto the coil wire. Try that

oh shit when i put my cr80 engine back together i didnt use any gaskets. . .just silicone . . .turns over fine now but maybe the piston would hit the head cause its closer now cause gaskets add thickness over silicone maybe? . . .i guess it will have to blow up cause im not touching it

You should be able to turn the spark plug cap right back into the coil wire..sometimes the coil wire gets a little blown out on the end and you can just cut the very end off and screw the cap back into it..look inside the plug cap and you should see a little screw in there and you will see what I'm talking about.. Should thread right back into the wire..you guys should know this already.. Or at least the so called "mechanic" should know that already..

Yo that coil isn’t broken homie, screw the cap back onto the wire, and the solenoid clean it up and tighten it and you’ll be prime to ride

I really don't know how you guys or the haggler find such cheap dirtbikes. The roasted out kx80 I bought here was the cheapest and I paid 900. Would only start if you bump started it. Took the top end off and found that the previous owners clearly put no oil in the fuel. The Piston looked like a pinecone that had destroyed the cylinder wall. Silver lining though was I had A Harley mechanic bore and hone it out to roughly a kx113. It threw me a good 600 yards after hitting the powerband

you didnt heat cycle the the two stroke if u don't heat cycle it for break in it wont last ive built many from 65's to kx 500's and tolarances are very important
do your self a favor check if the crank has any up and down play..........

nice video but thats not how you break in 2 strokes first off you need to at least give the motor 3 to 5 heat cycles let it run for about 10/15 mins each time if anything was gonna go wrong with in thoes cycles it would happen then after that well then you go for a short ride only about quarter of throttle for about 20 mins let it cool down after and repeat a few times if it doesn't blow your good...thats how i go about breaking in new motor just a little advice biggest thing with new motors they expand when heated up cant just start it up and pin it lol Im not a pro either but i also own a 99 kx 125 that i rebuilt has over 30 hours on it now still runs mint .... ..cheers

U didn't break it in right because you didn't ride it slow and idle for a while u need to ride it slow for a few hours
