Dude, I've never even seen that bar before...looks like a fun switch-up though. About curls; I used to go up to 205 with the straight bar in my powerlifting days. It gave me wrecked elbows, that's about it! One of the premium pieces of advice from John and yourself has been "moderate weight" for curling. There's a better peak at 60 than there was at 50!
