Now Now ,you set us a problem, but a good one ...how on earth can anyone pick out a best village ?in my eyes every inch of the Cotswolds and surrounding areas are beautiful ...😂👍
I would like to cast my vote for Shutford. Despite the challenges it faces, I found it to be quite beautiful. Even without a pub. Although it should have one. My hopes are with them!
Robin, it's fantastic to see you back. We've really missed the visits, but we completely understand that you are dealing with illness. Please take care of yourself and get back to full health soon.
Welcome back. It’s so lovely to have you sharing your adventures again. While you’ve been away I’ve been binge reading Rebecca Tope’s mystery novels set in various towns and villages in the Cotswolds.
Hi Robin & Ross great to see back out in the open showing us all the great villages to be explored. Robin sooo pleased you made a good recovery and long may it last, very best wishes stay safe and well!!
A very enjoyable and informative tour of some of the delightful buildings of the Cotswolds and its beautiful countryside. I had planned to revisit Banbury and your video has persuaded me that I should do so sooner, rather than later. Good to be back. Thank you!
So pleased to hear your voice again...we love these tales and the information the videos contained...please take it easy....these videos clearly take a huge amount of work...all best Mike
It is so good to hear your voice today.. So soothing and comforting.which I definitely needed. I am waiting on my body to mend from my first surgery, so I can have the next surgery, all because of Cancer. We all who follow have been diligent in praying for you to be healed and are so pleased to see and hear you today. Be Careful now and not over do it! With love and all the best in the days ahead!
Bloody fantastic, so relaxing in these terrible times...for me anyhow......the people who carved/built these buildings were something special and prob never even knew it. Stunning, regards, West Yorks.
I only lived in England for a year and a half during Covid and I still miss your architecture, beautiful houses and greenery. I lived in the countryside and I think it was much better than living in the city. Regards
I wish I was brave enough to drive in the U K so I could follow your adventures. I tried to visit small towns last October by bus and train. Glad you are better and traveling again.
My wife and I have grown to love your TH-cam channel. We both grew up in Southern California, but love things British, not the least of which is your Cotswold region. I am sorry to hear of your recent struggles, but very glad that you are recovering and back on channel. What is the best way to communicate with you? I'd like to share a composition, a poem I wrote this past December that your channel inspired, at least in part.
Good to see you back in good health ! Keep the programmes coming especially for me the ex pat and the education of my Texas family that have nothing over 170 years old other than few Spanish Adobe missions .
The areas covered were very interesting to see because of their great age. Of course, here in Michigan, we don't see buildings that are from the Medieval age. Also, a couple of places, in the video, where Robin is standing on a green lawn with Widget and Gizmo along with a medieval building/home in the background would make a great Norman Rockwell style painting. In addition, I really wasn't able to pick out a favorite village as I liked each one of them with their very unique churches.
Robin your voice was a bit muffled when you were speaking from the couch. Were your clothes covering the mic?It was worse when Widget jumped up onto your knee.
Great to have you back and may I say, splendid recovery. May this exciting new chapter carry you in great health, love, and prosperity. Cheers! Ps. Eagerly awaiting a new installment(s) of the paranormal kind. ;)
Thank you for this amazing, detailed, sympathetic tour and we can't pick a favorite over here in the US. At 1:22 you mention a "simple" Christian message in Jesus's parables, but nothing could be farther from the truth, actually (not to pick nits here). Great tour and thank you, plus the wonderfully silly four-legged friends.
I am planning on spending 5 days in the Cotswolds this June. I will be driving by car. Can you recommend some villages to stay in? I would like to see as many villages as possible. Should I stay in one village or possibly two.? Thanks in advance for your assistance and videos.
My puppy is half mountain dog half golden retrieve error tried to hide a milk bone in my pocket......bad idea. Thank goodness I have a couch, made for a landing 😅
Thank you Sir. I appreciate your effort. please take a daily regiment of Zinc, Iron, C, D, A & have a magnesium bath. You must remain healthy, to be able to continue to amuse me.
I'm a great fan. Regrettably on this particular video your voice is really not sharp end clear. I wonder whether this the microphone. Ive never encountered this before in your videos. Best of luck anyhow
As Robin is recording from home whilst he recovers, he is using a different microphone to what we use on location and for dubbing normally - but we will try our best to engineer it a little better in future 😄
Would i want to live in a area that the police can't catch there own arse with both hands . Let alone crimnals and there are many looking too steal from you here and this side of yhe coast of the uk
Wm reigned for only twenty some years. How the hell did he build all of these ugly carbon copy churches with crenellation instead of spires all over England.
We are so pleased to be back! Of all the villages we show you in this episode, which is your favourite?

I love to see all places, but I love more to learn about their history.
A very warm welcome back to Robin and Co. An excellent start to a new season; look forward to what comes next. 🙂
Cant wait!
Welcome back. What a lovely programme, although the frequent advert breaks did become rather tedious.

I hope I find the right way out to follow your Cotswolds places. I wish you and your time a very nice time.

Brilliant!
Robin, what is that fantastic music you employed during your narrative of the battle? I'm referring to that somber organ piece. Somber yet beautiful.
Wow.

In America most churches are not open during the week. Just the office is open if anything. That's why they asked you if they were allowed to go in.
Don't worry. Be happy.
Missed your voice. Hope all is well.

It sounds great.

Turns out that your voice reverts to its lucid self at 10:49
What is the name of Evans' book you are quoting from?
Highways and Byways of Oxford and the Cotswolds (1905)
