My name is Marty. I’m a 70-year-old attorney and I live in Louisville Kentucky. Before the British Invasion the Rascals and the Lovin’ Spoonful were my favorite bands. As I type this note I’m listening to the Rascals in concert in Hawaii on June 26,1969
I’ve never seen a clip of this concert. So wonderful to see the Rascals live. For the last several weeks, I’ve been listening to It’s a beautiful morning to start my day.
The Rascals...it's bands like this that made the 60s so great!

I followed The YOung Rascals all over Long Island aand Brooklyn and they so rocked.

Yes I remember this song well, my husband a n d I had just been blessed with our first child in April 1967. Those were some wonderful groovin' days for sure. Thanks for the memories.

These songs take me back to childhood. Moving by Lake Michigan, swimming, laying on the beach. This brings me back to some great memories. I'm so glad these guys are keeping this music alive.
Reading comments here is a sad reality that if you look for wrong you’ll always find it. Close your eyes and tell me this doesn’t sound great??? Give some credit to some fine musicians, there’s No Sin in doing so! Dino is an awesome inspiring drummer and I’m glad I found this video. 😊
They do a good job, especially the backup vocals. However I must say that, without Felix, it just isn't the same. Sorry, but his distinctive voice was the defining thing of the original Rascals.
@@cedarshoals529 The lead singer / keyboard player is Bill Pascali, a past resident of College Point Queens ... I grew up with Bill ... was in a few bands with him. No .. he is NOT Felix but he is a very talented musucian. Bill also went on the play key and sing lead with a reformed Vanilla Fudge... and again .. No Bill is NOT Marc Stein but he did an excellent job

Fine...it's essentially a tribute band. Sure, Dino and Jean are there. I'm a solo artist. I pay tribute to many artists. I perform Willie rather well..but I've never written any of his songs.

I saw them in 1966 when I was 16 and playing drums in a garage band. Love them!

It is good but Felix isn't in it. There is an emptiness in it. I saw them in 1966 and in 1970. Powerful and full of life and love. I still have all of their albums, only they are in my daughter's possession for safekeeping after I'm gone.
@@boomerguy9935I love that you have entrusted the albums to a family member. This is the kind of music that younger generations can appreciate and groove to. I’ve been sharing some of my favorite tunes with mine. I’m glad to also have grown up with the great bands of our generation.

When she was little, she looked at my turntable and asked what it was. That conversation led to our having a bond to all the music from the 40's blues, jazz, big-band swing music, American Standards, through the 60's Motown, British Invasion and American rock and pop, to today's music. Although she likes country music and I don't, we agree on our dislike for hip-hop and everything similar.
She and I have had an ongoing contest concerning songs, artists, lyrics and the total history of everything music. It's a friendly competition and we We've been to many concerts together.
She treats her albums better than the Smithsonian would and she plays them regularly. @@divalivingston1664

This Group are doing a respectable Cover Version of the You Rascals Big Hit, totally different style and in the end a different sound.

Bill Pascali does a great job here. The overall sound of the band is reminiscent of the original band.

Love this song 💞 walked out of the Doctor's office this morning and a nice fall breeze was blowing the sun was warm and this song started playing in my head. Had to play it. I do like the original better though.

Last comment, I meant to say in 1967, I was only 5 years old. Living/born and raised in rural america / in Virginia. But, I remember on the radio hearing this music (of course, I was older than 5 years old) when it clicked (hearing it on the radio) -- GROOVIN' and IT's A BEAUTIFUL MORNING.

I think the guy is a good singer and I hope to hear more of him. He is good, and the song arrangements are great. As far as being a bit slow- Drummer wanted it that way and I think it went well to showcase the bands work, the harmonies and general mood there.

Yep. No Felix no Rascals! I know Felix and I'm sure he'll have something to say about this. And it won't be good. Felix was the heartbeat of the Rascals. It's the same as No Farner No Funk. Yeah, I know Mark too. As does my GTO. He's one of the only 2 to drive it.

Nice dudes but up the tempo...I know it was probably planned that way but nope it don't work for me...I played this song in 68 for years and ya gotta do it with the original tempo...But don't get me wrong guys this is still very sweet.
