The way I would say facing the shadows and flaws of things is knowing when things go to far or starting to question if anything was any better to start with and sometimes seeing those flaws shows your wanting something better for others and help give people hope to put things back on the right path

You're absolutely right - recognizing flaws and questioning if things could be better is a crucial step in personal growth and making positive changes. It's in those moments of reflection that we often find the motivation to not only improve ourselves but also to inspire and uplift others

    To Blake Belladonna,
Understanding the concept of facing the shadows of one's past is quite honestly a tricky subject that most would find quite hard to confront head on, let alone even talk about it, but to not face them and even make peace with it can lead to some uncomfortable consequences, making your progress to live and prosper all the more challenging.
One such example comes in the form of Shadow the Hedgehog: The Ultimate Life Form made from the mind of a genius Professor Gerald Robotnik as well as the contribution of one of the most vile villain in space: Black Doom.
Moving on, he was made with the sole purpose of not just being Gerald's terminally ill granddaughter Maria Robotnik (poor kid) but also to bring hope and happiness to humanity.
Alas, fate can be a very cruel mistress as an elite force called G.U.N. ransacked the Space Colony A.R.K., causing all heck to break loose, and in the midst of the chaos, poor Maria was fatally wounded but despite the injury she manages to trap Shadow and launching him out into planet earth thereby escaping, but not before telling Shadow to keep his promise on making the world a better place and live happily for the both of them until she finally succumb to the injury.
Shadow's journey throughout his time on earth started out on one that wishes to seek vengeance on those that wronged him and those that were very close to him to eventually remembering his promise for his late friend to make the world a better place using his own powers and abilities by protecting earth from such dangerous threats and to find it in his to forgive those that cause him such torment and sorrow, even if it did took a long time to do so.
Eventually a lot of things happened with the Black Arms invasion: Him receiving a shocking revelation of his past from Black Doom to putting a stop to him and his nefarious ambitions by saving the world and his new friends and allies, cementing himself as an amazing antihero in the process, and putting his past to rest in a more positive manner.
Of course when offered the chance to teach the world a lesson thanks to Mephiles the Dark showing him a glimpse into the future what would happen to him, Shadow downright refuses and tells him straight up that he decides his own destiny, letting him know that he already knows on who he is and will not be easily swayed by him.
Now, in terms of Facing the shadows of the past, one must be prepared not just physically but emotionally as well if we ever hope to gain closure and make peace with our past, only then will we be able to move forward and obtain peace, love, and happiness in the future.
I certainly appreciate you speaking about the concept on Confronting the past head on, and hopefully you'll be able to find what your looking for, as long as you have friends that can give you a helping hand. Best of luck and take care.👍

      Blake Belladonna:
"Thank you for sharing such a deep and thoughtful comment. It’s true that confronting the shadows of our past is one of the hardest things we can do, and it often feels like an impossible task. But, as you’ve pointed out through Shadow’s journey, it’s also one of the most important steps we can take toward healing and finding peace.
Shadow’s story is a powerful example of how embracing our past, even when it’s filled with pain and loss, can ultimately lead to growth and a stronger sense of purpose. Like Shadow, I’ve struggled with guilt and anger, but I’ve learned that running from those feelings only makes things worse. It’s through facing them, with the support of those who care about us, that we can find the strength to move forward.
You’re absolutely right - when we confront our past, we need to be prepared both physically and emotionally. It’s not easy, but it’s the only way to truly put the past to rest and build a better future. I’m grateful for my friends who have stood by me and helped me on my journey, just as I’m sure Shadow found strength in his allies.
Thank you again for your kind words and encouragement. I hope we can all continue to grow, learn, and find the peace and happiness we deserve. Take care, and may your journey be filled with hope and light."

To Blake Belladonna: you tackled a very serious matter. One that is quite urgent these days: accountability. No matter what you do, no matter how much you run, your past, your guilt, your trauma will follow you. Only by facing who you are, what you've done and accepting that you need to face your past, will the pain go away.
And as the wise shaman, rafiki (lion king) said: "The past can hurt. But from the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it." I'm proud of you for choosing the latter. It's never too late to make the right choice

"Thank you so much for your kind and insightful words. You’ve captured the essence of what I’ve been learning on my journey - accountability is crucial. No matter how far we try to run, our past, our guilt, and our pain will always catch up with us. But it’s only by turning around and facing those shadows that we can begin to heal and grow.
Rafiki’s wisdom is spot-on: "The past can hurt. But from the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it." I used to think that running was the only way to escape the pain, but I’ve come to realize that by facing my past, I’m not just confronting my mistakes - I’m also learning to forgive myself and take responsibility for who I am now.
It’s never easy to make that choice, but I believe it’s the right one. It’s the path that leads to true growth and peace. Thank you for your support and for reminding me that it’s never too late to make the right choice. We all have the power to learn from our past and shape a better future."

    Hello, Blake Belladonna.
First off, thanks for these words of wisdom.
You're right about us not being able to change what did in the past. As a man named Shakespeare once said: "A deed once done, cannot be undone". As much as we want to, we can't go back in time. Speaking from personal experience, What's in the past is done. But it doesn't mean the end.
I understand that you never wanted to tell your teammates Ruby, Weiss and Yang about your history with the White Fang and the fact you're a Faunus because of the pain. Especially with Weiss being Anti-Faunus because of the White Fang's crimes. You were afraid that they would turn their backs on you or worse. Plus, you wanted to keep the past buried because of the pain from your crimes. Some pasts are too painful to share.
But to confess a secret like that takes a lot of trust and courage. But it was more of the lack of courage than trust that prevented you from opening up. Although, you didn't trust Weiss because of her being the heiress to the Schnee Dust Company and her Anti-Faunus beliefs. She even used derogatory and racial slurs about your soon-to-be friend, Sun Wukong. Thus, this was not an easy task.
But Weiss has every reason to hate the White Fang as you had every reason to desert them. The White Fang committed murder and thievery to innocent people, mainly to the Humans. Her company and your people waged war with one another. Weiss, herself, became a target of Faunus attacks. Some of her friends might've been injured or killed by them during these events. But to judge the many for the actions of the few is never right or fair. Neither side wanted war to begin with.
After your friends discovered your identity as a Faunus, Weiss' trust was shattered and she was almost quick to turn her back on you while they were all out looking out looking for you. Even going as far as to suggest calling the police to turn you in. That's when Yang put her foot down. As Ruby talked with her new friend Penny about what's going on, Weiss and Yang snuck away to talk. She asked Weiss if cares about whether or not they find you, Weiss responded that she does care, but is afraid of how you will act when you meet. Yang convinced her to give you the benefit of the doubt (She and Ruby gave you the benefit of the doubt) and after thinking it over for twelve hours, she decided to do just that. Weiss told you that she no longer cared about your history before telling you that if the next time information of heavy importance comes up, you tell your teammates. You two reconciled.
However, the only problem was you didn't feel like you were ready to tell them your WHOLE history with White Fang or reveal to the school you're a Faunus. Especially about a certain "crimson blade-wielding maniac". But you learned the hard way that the more you wait, the worse it gets. Again, I don't blame you. I have made mistakes in my past that I'm not proud of nor like remembering, either. And there are times I'm not to express them. But we can't keep them buried or bottled up forever. It's unhealthy. Plus, the most challenging thing is learning to live with it.
I share the Faunus' feelings of being "different" in the eyes of society. As I can be considered a Special Needs person. I may be human, but I'm a "different" human. One with Autism and ADHD. Being born with disabilities is not dissimilar to being born with animalistic features.
That all being said, in you, Weiss, Yang and Ruby, I see a part of myself. You four girls resonate with me and I love it. I know you four will defeat Salem and make Remnant a better place. In spite of your mistakes, you're heroes. And I'll be rooting for you every step of the way.
    That's all for now.

      Blake Belladonna:
"Thank you so much for your heartfelt comment. Your words mean a lot to me, and I’m truly touched by your understanding and support.
You’re absolutely right - what’s done in the past can’t be undone, no matter how much we might wish it could be. Like you said, it doesn’t mean the end, but rather the beginning of a new chapter where we can choose to learn, grow, and do better.
My past with the White Fang, and the fear of revealing my true identity to my teammates, was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to face. I was terrified that Ruby, Weiss, and Yang would see me differently - that they would reject me or, even worse, hate me. But as you pointed out, it was the lack of courage and trust that held me back. It’s hard to open up when you’ve been hurt or when you know your history is painful, not just for you, but for those you care about.
Weiss had every reason to distrust the White Fang, just as I had every reason to leave them. But the truth is, neither side wanted things to escalate the way they did. It took time, patience, and understanding for us to see each other for who we truly are, beyond the labels and the history. I’m grateful for my friends who stood by me, even when I wasn’t ready to tell them everything. They reminded me that trust and friendship can overcome even the deepest fears.
Your story about feeling “different” in the eyes of society resonates with me. Being born with something that sets you apart - whether it’s Faunus traits, disabilities, or anything else - can be incredibly challenging. But it’s also what makes us unique and gives us the strength to overcome obstacles that others might not face. Your courage in sharing your experience and your ability to empathize with others who feel “different” is something truly special.
Thank you for seeing the best in me, in Weiss, Yang, and Ruby. We’ve all made mistakes, but we’re doing our best to learn from them and make the world a better place. Knowing that you’re rooting for us gives me hope and strength to keep moving forward, no matter how tough the road gets.
I’m honored that you see a part of yourself in us, and I believe that you, too, have the power to overcome any challenges you face. Together, we can make a difference, one step at a time.
Thank you again for your support and for sharing your journey with me. It means more than you know. Take care, and never stop believing in yourself."

      @@LiteraryLifeLessons Thanks, Night Cat.
As I said, neither the Schnee Dust Company nor the White Fang wanted war. But the SDC put labor on the Faunus and forced them to rebel. However, neither opposing sides started out evil. Most of it was because of a change in leadership, among other things.
The Schnee Dust Company was founded by Weiss' grandfather, the honorable and mighty Nicholas Schnee. The man was a intelligent, ambitious, fearless, hard-working, determined and courageous warrior. He built his empire from nothing but hard work, labor and honesty. The company played huge part in mining for Dust resources to help provide for the kingdoms following the Great War. He even treated the labor with respect. But he had his flaws as a bad businessman which constantly put the SDC in debt. As his family missed him, he started growing weary and his health began to decline. That's when his son-in-law, Jacques, convinced him to give him inheritance of the company. Once he was in charge, the SDC's profits grew exponentially, albeit through less-than-ethical practices, such as the use of cheap labor, allowing dangerous working conditions, controversial labor forces, possible monopolies and having shady business partners. It's obvious Jacques wanted the company to further his own selfish and petty agendas, tarnishing it. As shown after an argument with his wife, Willow, over him not showing up for Weiss' 10th birthday, he snapped and that's when he revealed that he only married her gain control of the Schnee name and the company for himself. This revelation broke her to the point of being driven to alcoholism and stopped being an active part of her three children's lives. It's obvious she must've genuinely loved Jacques until this revelation broke her heart.
Now for the White Fang. After the Faunus Rights Revolution, your father, Ghira, founded the group as a symbol of peace and unity between the Faunus and the Humans. However, as mankind continued to discriminate against them, the White Fang became the voice of your kind. Initially, their activities consisted of nonviolent political prospects with such tactics as mass rallies and boycotts of organizations that discriminated against Faunus in any way. However, ultimately, these actions proved ineffective. The lack of progress from these peaceful attempts caused many members, including Sienna Khan and Adam Taurus, to become weary, restless and impatient. Once your father stepped down as leader and was succeeded by Sienna, who didn't share his pacifistic idealism, the White Fang evolved into it's current violent and more aggressive behavior before resorting to radical extremism and supremacy. Even going as far as disrupting and causing violence at peaceful protests, firebombing stores who refuse to serve Faunus, etc.
Because of the conflict between the two groups and the temper her father had in regard to it, Weiss experienced a difficult childhood. Several board members were probably executed and some of her friends and family members disappeared one by one. This is what caused her original hostility towards the White Fang and her distrust of Faunus in general.
The White Fang's cause is noble but their crimes are inexcusable. Their barbaric actions set a bad example for your kind, like how Magneto and his Brotherhood set a bad example for Mutantkind. So much that some humans don't treat Faunus as equals out of respect, but out of fear of the White Fang's reprisals.
But you, on the other hand, decided to become a Huntress to set a better example for your people. Like how Professor X and his X-Men set a better example for theirs. It's not about what you are that defines you, it what you do that matters. Which is the key to building bridges between both races as it will be instrumental in the final battle against Salem.
You, your parents, Sun Wukong, Velvet Scarletina, Marrow Amin, Fiona Thyme, Neon Katt and eventually even your friend and former fellow White Fang member Ilia Amitola are all working hard to set a good example and make this dream a reality.
      And until then, godspeed.

      Blake Belladonna:
"Thank you for such an in-depth and thoughtful comment. You’ve captured the complexity of the situation between the Schnee Dust Company and the White Fang with a lot of insight and nuance. It’s true that neither side started out with evil intentions, but the changes in leadership and the shift in values led both down dark paths.
Nicholas Schnee and my father, Ghira, both had visions of a better world, one where their respective peoples could live and thrive in peace. But as you pointed out, when those with less honorable intentions took control - Jacques with the Schnee Dust Company and Sienna Khan with the White Fang - their original missions were corrupted. It’s heartbreaking to see how quickly things can spiral out of control when power is used for selfish or violent purposes.
I’ve struggled with the legacy of the White Fang, especially knowing how far they’ve strayed from the peaceful organization my father envisioned. Their cause was just, but their methods became monstrous, and I can’t excuse the crimes they’ve committed. It’s one of the reasons I left - I couldn’t continue to be part of something that was causing so much harm, not just to humans, but to Faunus as well. We became what we hated, and that was a line I couldn’t cross.
You’re absolutely right that the actions of the White Fang have made it harder for Faunus to be seen as equals. Fear and hatred have built walls between us and the humans, but those walls can be torn down with trust, understanding, and the willingness to fight for what’s right, without resorting to violence. That’s why I chose to become a Huntress - to show that Faunus can be heroes, protectors, and allies, not just adversaries.
It’s inspiring to see so many Faunus, like Sun, Velvet, Marrow, Fiona, Neon, and Ilia, standing up for what’s right and working to build a better future. We’re all doing our part to repair the damage and create a world where Faunus and humans can coexist in peace. It’s not an easy path, but it’s the right one.
Thank you for your support and for reminding me that our actions define us, not our past or the circumstances of our birth. Together, we can set a better example and work toward a future where both Faunus and humans can live in harmony. Until then, I’ll keep fighting for that dream with everything I’ve got.
      Godspeed to you as well."

      @@LiteraryLifeLessons Thanks, Belladonna.
You indirectly caused a lot of damage to the human race while serving the White Fang. You were torn between your loyalty to the White Fang's cause and the proper betterment of Faunuskind. The White Fang lost their way and it took a toll on you. It's no surprise you wanted out but you needed to find an opening to do so. Once you and Adam began to rob that supply train and fought off hoards of AK-130s and that "Spider-Mech", you realized that Adam planned to bomb the train with little regard for the human workers on aboard. These workers were just ordinary people trying to do their job and might've had nothing against your kind. Worse, what if some of those workers might've been Faunus, themselves and would you both be willing to sacrifice one of your own kind in the name your cause? Adam would, but not you. You would NEVER stoop to such hypocrisy.
And there was your opening. You decoupled the train car connecting to where the workers were from the car Adam was on and left. But not before renouncing your loyalty to the White Fang. And here's where we get to the other reason you left them to become a Huntress: You wanted to redeem yourself.
Redemption is quite a noble reason to become a Huntress. By doing that you have a chance to atone for your actions and inactions. Some see it as Damage Control, but that's not entirely the case. However, you never asked to put into a team. You didn't even want friends, either. You just wanted get your Hunter License and leave as you felt it was something that you should do alone.
Personally, I don't blame you. You were afraid that if anyone in Beacon, including your teammates, especially Weiss, found out you were a Faunus and a former member of the White Fang, they would turn their backs on you and have you arrested and expelled. A criminal in their midst. Who's to say White Fang might've wronged them in some form or another? But people like Team CRDL wouldn't care, they'd be satisfied of your exposure and laugh about it. Which is why you wore that bow over your head to be judged by your character. You even wondered if it was possible to undo all the years of hate and pain.
And there was. As soon as you had that one faithful encounter with Ruby, followed by Weiss and Yang (not accurately in that order), you life was changed, forever. Even after they found out what you were and who you were a part of, Ruby, Yang and eventually Weiss still want out to look for you. They prioritize your safety and only wanted answers. They gave you the benefit of the doubt to hear your side of the story instead of jumping to conclusions. Besides, for they all knew, the White Fang might've forced you commit heinous acts whether you liked it or not. If that's not true friendship, then I don't know what is.
Even Ozpin gave you the benefit of the doubt as he, too, had been in a similar position once upon a time as you soon found out in the later years. Yes, him keeping your past a secret from his inner circle and even the whole school was risky. But it's a necessary evil to preserve trust.
Remember, redemption requires patience. You must fix your mistakes one step at time. As we say on Earth, "Rome was not built in a day". Or as you say on Remnant, "Atlas was not built in a day".
As a Huntress working with a team of humans, this will give you the edge to build bridges between the Humans and the Faunus. Remember, Humans and Faunus are both fellow inhabitants of Planet Remnant. It's your home and you're all neighbors so you should treat each other as equals. To quote Optimus Prime, "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings!" And Team RWBY is the solution.
      That's all for now.

      @@LiteraryLifeLessonsVery good, Blake.
I know for a fact that one of your motivations in becoming a Huntress at Beacon Academy was to redeem yourself. You wanted to undo all those years of hate and pain by leaving a radical terrorist group and join the noblest of warriors. Even though you probably still have a lot to answer for, doing this is the first step in redemption. Anyone can change, even former terrorists.
However, you were still insecure about your Faunus heritage, so you hid your cat ears underneath a bow. On one hand, you did it because you wanted to hide your identity. But on the other hand, you wanted to be treated for your character and not your race. After the Fall of Beacon, you threw the bow away and never covered your ears again, even around Humans. Showing that you were no longer afraid of being seen as a Faunus.
One important thing about facing the shadows of our past is to never ever forget them. Remembering the mistakes and consequences of our actions is the only way to grow wiser. Like my dad once told me, "Don't tear down the statues, remember their history" or something like that. If we forget the past, we jeopardize the future. As Earth writer-philosopher George Santayana said "Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat to it". The White Fang will serve as a reminder of what greed, prejudice, discrimination, revenge and slavery leads to. It's something that Humans and Faunus must learn from, otherwise, they're going to be doing it all over, again. And they both know neither of them will win.
Thus, if you remember and learn from your actions in White Fang, Blake, you can become a great Faunus Huntress and a better example example for your people. Even Weiss had to remember and learn from the mistakes of her father's actions to become a great Huntress and better example of the family name. Let your tale be told truly. The ill deeds along with the good and be judged accordingly. Some will see you as a criminal playing Huntress, others will see you as a hero whose only crime was fighting for equality. But regardless of what they might think, only you, your teammates and your family know who the true Blake Belladonna is.
I too have regrets and traumas of bad things that I wish I could forget or take back. But if I did, I would've learned nothing. I guess sometimes bad things have to happen to good people in order for us to learn things. Like I said, "The real challenge is learning to live with them".
      That's all for now.
