@@bullykennelz4355 Of course it's slower. But you're right the price difference is bananas and I just don't feel that the rs3 is worth the money. Yea it has a crazier engine and has the signature "sound". But in that price bracket, I'm going for a TTRS.
Yea the difference is you can make an RS make 1200-1500hp. Our EA888 motors will never be able todo that with all the money in the world...noone said an RS3 or TTRS is a good budget car. But they are good supercar killers if you build the motor...
I’ve driven a few Audi’s in the early 2000’s but I definitely like this car more than anything I’ve seen released. Looking forward to going and taking an S3 out for a run. Ive got my eye on a 2020 w/ low kms with some tasteful upgrades that gives it an even better look. But overall the smaller but stocky stance to this car along with enough power to enjoy my drive into work especially living with some pretty heavy snow makes this car a great option for me. Now I know I could stick to my 2021 Mazda 3 AWD Turbo HB which is a solid machine. Like everything it’s nice to change it up and this may be the one to swap with. Never been a fan of yellow but it’s looks damn good on that S3. Golf R or S3 ? Appreciate the video! I will keep my 2017 Accord V6-6 speed Coupe always because until they build a new one that comes close to 300 N/A HP & 6 speed manual. With all this EV nonsense going on. It’s nice hearing the sound of a great gas powered motor which at some point will be on the endangered species list.
Yes they quietly pulled their tunes off the shelves because people around the 50k-70k mile mark were getting major engine malfunctions. I'd suggest EQT for OTS Golf R/S3 tunes. They also have great support for other high performance mods.
@@nycyabber7103they quietly pulled the downpipe and tunes because of EPA regulation and the fact that Holley is a major player who isn’t going to mess with the EPA. As a reference, they still offer plenty of support and parts for stage 3.
Yeah that 6 speed was rough. The facelift came with the 7 speed and for a dsg, its much smoother and better for daily driving. Doesnt shid and fard like the 6 speed does though
@@BubbaPyro99 There's more to it than smoothness. You have to wait for the trans to downshift when wanting to accelerate when you're driving down the road. The trans can get confused for a couple of seconds and do nothing when you get into traffic and floor it, leaving you susceptible to being rear-ended. When you're in a parking lot and want to move a couple of feet forward, the car slams on the brakes when you just touch them. This could be disastrous when using lift ramps. DSG sucks ass.

3.5 0-60 is crazy
I feel like the most tasteful mod is the Starbucks latte done in a "Venti" configuration, timeless and classy.
Love the car, can’t wait until I go stage 2
I'm probably one of the select few people that thinks the Rs3 is one of the most overrated cars. The s3 is literally the best bang for buck.
A 400bhp s3 is slower than a 400bhp rs3 but the price difference is crazy

if you put it in this way, the golf r is the bang for the buck

Those are some quick launches...what's your launch RPM set at? I've got a very similar set up and can't launch over 3200, thank you!
They make yellow S3s or is that a wrap?
3.47 with 2 people im guessing close to 3.35 with only 1 driver. Sick!!!
How much to go stage 2?

I'm buying a vegas yellow S3 in Andover this weekend!
How is it bro?
Didn't APR discontinue stage 2 in the U.S. a few years ago?
Yes, they longer offer the downpipe and stage 2 tune. For 2.0 MQB anyways

that car is rad
No it’s yellow
Res delete also?
What year S3 is this?
What downpipe he got on?
Would it be dumb to buy a 100k s3 that had a stage 2 tune? Don’t want it to blow up when I drive off the lot
Yes always stay under 50k single owner if possible
MQB 🎉
Smart man on having the M2 as his next choice of car
he got an rs3 lol
i would like to say my stage 2 rs3 is the ultimate daily (;
Saw this 2 months ago, i now own a stage 2 MRC Tuned vegas yellow s3 😂 sorry to copy the whole build, its fine were in different continents 😂
this guy knows vw makes them right lol
I just bought a 2016 S3. I HATE the S-Tronic DSG trans. It KILLS the driving experience. It's clunky and horrible. I'm getting rid of this car.

This guys transmission is tuned as well along with engine tune. Seems like it drastically changes the driving experience
