Update! Got it installed and absolutely love it! Had new tweeters and door speakers and a couple 12" kicker comp rt Subwoofer's put in and the sound quality is insane! Highly recommended to anyone who is looking at this deck! It's 100% worth it's money!
I want to put this in my 2013 Town and Country Touring L that has the double overhead screens. I am wondering if I can still use all of the in cabin features of the factory head unity with this?
Does this unit have a progress bar during mp4 playback? had a pioneer avic8500nex with that feature and it made it easy to fast forward/rewind during mp4 playback

300 bucks more for HD screen ? thats not even modern HD my ddx 9707s has everything this does minus the sapossed HD resolution. Sorry not worth 1,000 bucks lol. I paid 729.00 for my ddx 9707s and that was a bit over priced enough for me !

You can turn the radio completely off with the home button If you don't have a camera equipped the camera button can act as a screen shut off but there is a button to push for screen of and you can adjust the setting to have the time still show up
Does this have built-in navigation? I wish you would have mentioned that. I'm trying to replace my Kenwood 696S & built-in navigation is the most important feature for me. I'm finding that most places I look do not do a good job of saying of the model has the built-in navigation.
NO BUILT IN navigation, the reason it is not mentioned is, it is not equipped. DDX and DMX models, whether from Kenwood or Kenwood Excelon, do NOT have built in navigation. Models that start with DNR or DNX, do have built in nav.

Nope if you have the steering wheel controls for the stock stereo, your ready. I just had the exact same head, minus the low end HD screen (ddx 9707s) in my 2005 gmc sierra and man its awesome. The steering wheel controls even control dvds/cds.
I am looking at putting this into my 1999 firebird ta. what all will I need to purchase in order to obtain steering wheel controls? And can the side cameras be set up as a lane assist or is that a different technology? Lasers? that wouldn't integrate with the head unit?
Capacitive touch screen with DVD is not an easy combo to find.
