I was about to scream, having watched so many other videos and failing, and then came across you! Your video was so helpful and I've successfully set up Gmail signatures for my whole team. Thank you!
I watched 3 videos, tried to do it their way and got frustrated, as the image wasn't coming out correctly. I then came across you video and BANG!! I did it, you actually took away my stress. Thank you so much.
Thank you! I went through multiple videos before finding yours - the one that works! Please note that creating the signature with images in Google docs is much easier than using Microsoft Word. Making that switch helped me tremendously.
Thanks so much this was really helpful. One question - when I paste my signature from docs to the frame inside settings it doesn't fully align to the left and is floating out from the margin. Is there something I am doing wrong? Thanks
Thank you so much for your tutorial. I honestly went through bunch of videos that claimed they will help sadly nothing happen but more frustration. Your video worked perfectly !!!
Thank you for this, great video and produced something that I've been trying for hours to recreate. However, whilst it looks fine when sent on my computer/laptop, it doesn't look good on my iphone. Please can you suggest what can be done for this?
One thing I have noticed when working with email signatures on desktop versus phones is that the width of phones is obviously a lot smaller than your computer screen so if your table for your signature is too wide (i.e. bigger than. 400px) then it might not look great on a phone. For one of the companies I worked with, I ended up make a mobile version for email signatures and a desktop version. For the mobile version, the information was more stacked vertically instead of horizontally.
This is great tutorial. I´ve been wanting to add e-mail signature but didn´t know how. This tutorial helped me a lot but only problem I faced was that I couldn´t find "Table properties" from my Google docs. Any advice where that options might found? I couldn´t found it even I clicked right side of the mouse.
Thank you I really like to the video but for some reason I go to the bottom and hit save changes then I said sorry send a test email and it does not work every time
I think Gmail has made some changes. I've just dove into this, and the issue is that there is a limit of 10,000 HTML characters, and the Gmail doc is adding a lot of extra coding. I have a solution and plan to make an update video in the next few days.
Michelle, Thank you so much for a useful video! I used this several months ago but I have recently updated some things and added Pinterest so I rebuilt a new email signature. However, this time I copy and paste it into my gmail signature as before BUT it keeps changing the email and website to BLUE and underlines the website and email. It's driving me nuts! I want it as it appears in google docs, font in a dark brown. Do you have any advice on this? My husband says, "Just roll with it." I am not good at that. haha
Currently I don’t, but if you are looking for an easy solution, I would suggest getting a Canva account. You can always get a free Canva account and they have lots of templates on there that you can customize your company’s information.
Also it is making the filled in color banner at the bottom way longer than I want it once I paste it into gmail. UGH, frustrating. THANK YOU for your help.
You are always welcome to send a google doc link to hello@michellethecreator.com. I've helped a few other figure out their signatures. I wonder if changes were made to gmail because I feel like people are having more trouble lately with the styling.
Everything works in the setup: Chrome+GoogleDoc (on MacBookPro); when I paste the table into Gmail the logo drops out. Also, is there a way to embed a font?
There isn't a way to embed a custom font. It is always best to choose a common web font like Arial, Tahoma, Verdana, etc. The image shouldn't be dropping out though. If you have trouble with that I have offered to help others. If you send a google doc link to hello@michellethecreator.com I can always check it out. Thanks!
Loving this tutorial but I have a question. I have two columns in my table. In column 1 I have my logo. In column two I have a photo and then a bunch of text and links. Unfortunately, the photo is not visible when I save. Do you have any insight here? Thanks so much!
Sorry I missed this comment! Usually when the photos aren't showing it is due to them not being embedded properly for one reason or another. If you'd like I'd happily take a look at your google document and see if I can figure out the issue.

Thank you for the tutorial Michelle this is great. However, when I check it out on my cell, there is no responsiveness, the signature doesn't look good, it's huge and not aligned. Is there a way to make remedy this?
I may have something you can try. First, make sure your fonts are around 10 to 11 pts and size the images accordingly. I was helping someone else who left a comment and discovered if you are having alignment issues, if you put an empty row across the bottom and merge the cells across the row, it somehow magically solved the alignment issues. Happy to help further via email if that doesn’t work for you. You can send info to hello@michellethecreator.com
Please help, I have spent hours and hours watching videos and trying to create a fairly simple signature with no luck. I think I have followed all the steps exactly, but am getting unsatisfactory results. Is it required to have G-suite to allow the google docs copy to be pasted correctly into gmail signature? when I paste from docs into gmail it usually looks great until I save. once the signature is saved either the formatting gets messed up or the image/image's disappear, or both. Then when I go back into edit the gmail signature by uploading new images my cell formatting gets messed up, the image sizes are either to big or to small, the table sizes get altered and text gets moved or... I am determined to figure this out. any help is greatly appreciated
The first thing I would want you to do is when you are in your compose an email box is to check a specific setting. In the bottom right hand corner near the trashcan there is a three-dot icon. Just make sure that when you click that icon, the "Plain-text mode" is not selected. Someone else had this issue and it resolved all the problems. If that is not the issue, I would be happy to look at your document and I could send you private video instructions on what I find. If you want to do this send me a link to your Gdoc at hello@michellethecreator.com and let's see if we can get this working!
Yes, you should be able to add a link for phone. It works just like linking an email which uses "mailto:example@domain.com" a phone is "tel:555-555-5555".
Mobile signatures can be a little bit tricky. It’s important to make sure that your signature isn’t too wide. Phones have less real estate to work with so a stacked version is usually more ideal for a mobile device. Think about having a signature that’s 400 pixels wide or smaller.
Yes, you can remove it. This site has great step by step instructions. support.exclaimer.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360028655772-Why-are-there-two-dashes-above-my-signature- Hope that helps!
Sadly, I think there has been some updates to Google docs that is making it almost impossible to achieve what we could. I've been trying to create a signature for the past couple of hours without luck. I did however find a new solution which I will hopefully make a video on in the next couple of days.
Terrific video! Very helpful. Just one question: I'm sending email to a subscriber list, but concerned about the effect of this signature format on Spam filters. Would using the HTML approach reduce the likelihood of Spam treatment? Thank you
Have you ever tried testing the "spammyness" of your email? You can use this site: www.mail-tester.com/ to do that. This concern has come up with a few people I know. It really comes down to the images you are using which can have a slight affect on deliverability.
Hi Michelle! Thanks so much for this. When I go to save the changes in settings, Google says that the signature is too long. I have tried a couple of workarounds but it's refusing to accept the formatting. Any tips?
I haven't run into that message before. If you'd like you can also share your signature file with hello@michellethecreator.com and I can take a look and see if I can figure it out.
There’s always a chance that it could go to spam so I can’t guarantee that it wouldn’t. One of the most important things to always keep in mind is to make the image as small as possible. Having a very low file size should make it safer.
So ive got an issue. Ive done basically exactly everything you did in the video but my hyperlinks are adding pdf to the bottom of my emails also. Both of the links are from pdfs in my google drive. Is there anything you can suggest that may help?
Would you be willing to share a link to your Google doc? You could post it here or send an email to hello@michellethecreator.com. That way I can see exactly what you are talking about.
For email signatures, you typically need to use the most web basic fonts available. The only way to have custom font would be to design an email signature as a single image where your custom fonts are a part of the image which isn’t super ideal.
Let's see if we can figure this out! Which email platform are you using Gmail or Outlook? Also are you using any specialty fonts? If you'd like, you can share your Google doc and I can see if I can get it to work on my end.
