FAQs -------- It says "The signature is too long"! What do I do? - Your image might be too large. Ensure that it's a proper size (I used 100x100 px and 21 KB). White border looks bad in Dark Mode. How can I fix that? - You can select no color for the border in Google Sheets. How to resize rows? You can click and drag the edge of a row to resize it. In other words, move the mouse over the grey line under the row number (e.g. 2) then click and drag to resize. When I select my social media icons, I’m unable to insert a link! I have looked at a lot of e-mail signature generators. None really convinced me. And they came with a lot of limitations. Thank you so much for getting immidiately to the point: highlighting all options and work arounds. You didnt miss out on anything. I very much appreciate your guidance. Now I can make my own one with all possibilities. Great work!
I just watched I don't know HOW MANY videos to learn how to do exactly this and you're the only one that actually answered my questions quickly and easily! THANK YOU 🙏🏻
you are doing such a nice work i am strugling to 5 to 6 day but when i seen your video i've got comletely knowledge about this stuf thnk you for making this type of content man you are doing such a nice work
Thank you so much for this video, you were amazing providing all the steps in detail. I learned new ways of doing things and also you refreshed my memory on some things!
I appreciate this very much! Sadly, I am running into Gmail messages that signature is too long. Are image sizes responsible? Will shrinking social media icons further or head shot solve this issue?
@@ShawhinTalebi do yourself a flavor and revisit the glory that is Arrested Development and Dr. Tobias Funke. Arguably David Cross’ funniest role. (I am biased though, being from Orange County, CA where the show is set).
This was super helpful, thank you! But I'm wondering if there's a way to remove the border instead of changing it white. When I email the signature to anyone using "dark mode", the white cell lines are visible and ugly.
Do you mean it looks bad when the person on the receiving end is in dark mode? Or you? Just wondering because if I am using dark mode but sending it out to people who don't have dark mode , then should I go with invisible boarders just because 'I" see it in dark mode? Ps We never know if the receiver of our emails has it on dark mode or not, right? So we may be changing it to invisible boarders for naught, because they may not even be on dark mode.
Great guide dude! Once this is done though, how do I use the same signature in my outlook app in windows 11? My old signature is still attached there...
This worked so well, thanks! Only issue is that when I tested it on my phone (that has dark mode on) the table outline comes up! Any suggestions for how to get it so the outline doesn't come up on a light OR dark bg? I tried just removing the outline but unfortunately that didn't work.
Thanks for the video. I followed all steps but every time I move down a line to add text the image moves too and now the image is half way down the page while the text is above it. Do you no what the issue is?
Thank you! Do you have a video on how to make your photo into a circle? I did mine using PicsArt on my phone but I think it probably would've been quicker to do it on the computer. Thanks!
This is so cool! I'm just having trouble vertically aligning my image on the left with the text in the right column. The image just wants to stay at the bottom with lots of white space above it. Any ideas?
I followed every step as mentioned and the result was amazing but there's an issue, when viewed in the gmail app on iOS it doesn't exactly translates the intended way and looks slightly different than on the web. I have a logo and have 4 lines next to it which include my name, designation, company name and mobile number but on the iOS app it only shows the logo and the first two lines for some reason.
mine shows up only after someone clicks the 3 dots to show more in the email. Is there anyway to get around this? I used the same amount of lines and same size photo so idk if it's still a size issue or not for the formatting.
Hi Shaw! I heard that you may need to use code/html to ensure that email signatures are compatible when sending to different email platforms (gmail/outlook/etc.). Any tips for this? Have you had any issues with people viewing your email signatures after you created your design?
I was excited to see this tutorial but it's not working for me. When I copy my two cells the jpg image does not show up in the signature just a placeholder space but no photo. The only way it shows up is if I insert it manually into Gmail using the "insert" option without the table. That doesn't help me with the formatting. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Thoughts?
Shawhin, I couldn't see how you enlarged the cell size to insert your picture. Please tell me how to do that. I think I've got the rest. Thank you for the information.
Sorry I skipped over that. You can click and drag the edge of a row to resize it. In other words, move the mouse over the grey line under the row number (e.g. 2) then click and drag to resize. (You can do a similar thing for columns)
Everythings Working Great - Except for when a browser (IOS) has dark mode on, there seems to always be a big white square around the entire signature (despite having selected "No Border" on Spreadsheet). Ideas?
Great video. Is there a way to make it so this also shows when we use the app on a phone? I have mine like I want it on my desktop version of gmail but my phone seems to only be able to do a much more simple signature
Hi there, this is a great tutorial thank you. I have the email set up, but when I try to save it says the "The signature is too long. Please try a shorter signature." is there a solution to this? Thanks
Often the culprit is the image. You can try 1) ensuring the image is a reasonable size (I use 100x100 here) and 2) troubleshooting by building signature element by element to see where issue is coming from.
Hi ! Thank you for this tutorial ! I have a problem, when I select my social media icons, I’m unable to insert a link, even when using the Ctrl + K shortcut. Do you have any idea why? Thanks !

How do you see the difference between machine learning engineering and data science? Which career path is in greater demand? Can one switch from one to the other?
Put coarsely, data scientist build models while ML engineers deploy models. My sense is data science is in greater demand, since there is a significant portion of data work in business that doesn't include production models. Yes absolutely. Moreover, I think having a background in one gives is helpful when doing the other.
I managed to follow your instructions. Looks good in the Gmail signature settings and in the draft email. But what the recipient sees or myself if I look at the sent email is different. The dividing line is twice as long at the top. Any ideas?
