I mean it did help though. One of the hardest things to do when learning a new language is always memorizing their vocabulary. Personally by watching anime for nearly 11 years you're bound to pick up all these words, phrases, lingo and slang. I can't read Japanese nor write Japanese because I havent learned it formally but I can speak their language (not fluent but enough) and be able to create conversation all because of anime🤦♀️😂

i mean anime does help as a booster to start learning the language, motivation, vocab, basic grammar can be more easily picked up when officially learning the language. of course, to be fluent, serious studying is always the way to go
