This story really resonated with me. Imagine being a black kid in the 2000s who was into anime. People say things like “You like that Chinese stuff” or “You tryna be white or Asian”. I also unfortunately had paranoid southern Baptist evangelical Christian parents who found anime weird and banned me from watching it among other things like Harry Potter.

I love Demon Slayer it's my favorite Anime! And Mia's mom was so nice and tried everything that her daugter is happy, so nice! (Btw i'm from germany and 11 years old so sorry if my sentences aren't correct)
