Electric race cars will NEVER have that sweet sound the Speed Demon has! The exhaust sound in the down-course area is intoxicating, like a blown V8 symphony.
Yessir! That sound especially, it echoes off of the nearby mountains, and when the wind is right it sounds like, I don't know, hard to explain, just crank the volume and raise the neighbors from their endless stupor! JW
This year they had failures with the big engine, but ran the fastest First Mile ever for them 380mph or so? They still managed to go 475mph with the "smaller" A-Engine later in the week! Great team Speed Demon is.
Wow, what an incredible effort to accomplish this, respect to all the teams pursuing these wheel driven Land Speed Records and the challenges they overcome. Is it possible to use drones out there?

J, excellent runs on the speed demon, but J your editing skills have gone down over the years. Speed demon sets a record and you talk about the breakfast efforts of someone off camera. This is not like your videos of years past.
Well, the announcer Slim, says what he says. And that is part of the event. I put the radio and CB on in the background, however, while filming a run, there's no way to mess with those radios, and editing out sounds will effect the engine sounds....so I compromise to present the event as everyone out there experiences it. Thanks for your comments, always trying to make it better...

Not Officially. Too dangerous. But that doesnt stop people from flying them, especially the small ones.
