I wouldn't worry, these puppies were very unfortunate just like some young children are very unfortunate, it doesn't mean there's an increased risk to your breed.

Oh my God dude. I can’t believe it. I lost two dogs last year (a 12 year old lab and an 8 year old Bullmastiff) so I know what it’s like. But four months?!?! That’s the saddest thing I’ve ever heard. Hey Will. We're picking up my son's new Cane Corso puppy in just under three weeks. Going to meet him on Thursday for the first time. So have been watched many of your Fenrir videos as well as tons of Jason Corey's with Bruce Wayne & Joey Justice. This video popped up on TH-cam today as a recommended video. Totally broke my heart. Mable looked absolutely gorgeous and you were clearly and understandably destroyed by her passing. I knownits been a long time since, but wanted to share my empathy with you, having lost a 4 year old German Shepherd to catastrophic organ failure. Leaves a terrible hole. Thank you for sharing this video. Took courage. I've now gone right back to the first video you did with Mable, and will watch your journey with her, tinge with a sadness knowing what will come. But I bet it was a happy life filled with love. I have had to give the last act of kindness to several pets over the years and it never gets easier. We love them for as long as we have them and sometimes we have to let them go. ❤🌹

Having been through something similar eight years ago, this was near impossible to watch all the way through... I can absolutely understand how hard it was to film it. Devastating and heartbreaking man.... hopefully the pain will have dulled somewhat by now, but it's never gone completely. Ugh. I hate clicking the like button here. Really hate it but you deserve it. I cannot begin to imagine how difficult this was to share. I went through something similar with my Cocker Spaniel (was perfect in the morning and passed by the end of the day) but he was 10 years old. Not a baby. This made me hug my dog a little extra long.
Will, I appreciate so much you taking the time to do these videos when you were in so much pain. I have wanted one of these beautiful animals for a long time. Recently, my daughter found a puppy that she wanted to get for me. Mother was Cane Corso and father was a Pit Bull. Little Ella is a beauty. At her 3 month vet visit she was diagnosed with a grade 4 heart murmur. I tried hard not to get too upset as the vet said she might grow out of it in a month or so - so we waited and watched. At her 4 month visit, the heart murmur was confirmed and an EKG was done the following day. He says she has a Tricuspid Valve Dysplasia which is basically a bad valve between the upper and lower chamber of the right side of her heart, plus it is enlarged. Nothing that he can do, no drugs, no surgery. I searched for a second opinion - for anyone that was able to see her....So, in less than two weeks she has an appointment with a cardiologist at OSU College of Veterinary Medicine. We are hoping beyond hope that maybe it was a misdiagnosis or that some other procedure can be done. We want to do your course, so hope along with us that she is strong enough to grow to an adult. Thanks for making me not feel alone here - this is no fun and I cried along with you.

I've recently started watching your videos on puppy training, including the ones with Mabel, so stumbling upon this video is so heartbreaking 💔 I've never had a dog, but I've had a couple cats that both had unexpected health scares & sudden deaths, so I absolutely get the pain. You're a wonderful dog parent, leader, and trainer, and you 110% gave Mabel such a happy and well-structured life while she was still here. May the memories you made with Mabel be cherished forever, she was a precious puppy and what happened to her it's unfortunate. You gave her a loving home and a wonderful family, she got to chew many toys and to enjoy a lot of tasty treats, as well as unlimited cuddles. I believe there's nothing more a dog could have asked for, and you did everything you could to make her happy. I'm sure Mable appreciated all of it until the very end, and although incredibly hard, it was the right call to make to help her pass on peacefully. We will all miss her, but as every living thing does, she has left her mark in the world, bringing joy to many people and especially your family. As long as that joy remains, so will Mable, she will always live in your heart, anywhere you go.

I lost my doberman in 2021 to DCM after he went through a similar scare 18 months earlier. As you do, I cherish every moment I spend with my dogs, and I relate to the pain you express here. I know this was 2 years ago but I am so sorry for your loss Will. I had to put my Odin down an about a little over a year ago and I was just as choked up as you are in this video. Watching this video brought all those emotions back. On top of that, just last month I lost my other dog to a stroke while my family and I were going for a walk without any warning. We got her when she was 8 weeks old and she passed at just a couple of months shy of turning 11. All that to say I love your videos and appreciate you sharing that painful experience with us. Now we have a 10 month old German Shepherd that wandered into our life which is how I stumbled across your videos/channel. I’m hoping to successfully use your guidance to train her to be a proper well mannered lady. She’s already showing us how intelligent she is. Hope all is well over there across the pond!
Hi Will, Subscribed to your channel 3 weeks ago after I got a rescue dog (He's a staffy cross and is 17 months old) and thought about how do i retrain a dog that was someone elses. I decided to watch your videos from start to finish and I've now got here. The decision to put down a much loved pet is never easy (I've had to put down my Staffy and in November last year we put down my partners Sprocker) and for you to let all of these emotions loose on the net deserves nothing but the utmost respect. I'm very glad I found your channel and 3 weeks in all your advice is starting to work on him so thank you very very much for not stopping the creation of these videos. You have definitely helped out more people than you realise.
There are no words for this horrendous situation-sending so much love to you and your family. I found your videos a little while ago and loved how articulate you are - but having a very poorly dad I have clearly missed a lot with Mabel. I have an 18 month old Landseer Newfoundland ‘teenager’, and am an absolute ‘behaviour nurd’, so if you ever wish to use her for your videos, you’re more than welcome.

I'm a new subber and I just saw this - thank you for sharing your story with Mable. My heart was breaking for you and your family, that you went through this, and then I saw it was posted 4 years ago. ... Wow. She was certainly loved and held dearly while she was with you and your family. About 2 years ago, we had to put our beautiful American Staffy rescue down. She was about 4 years old, and we had just gone through a 9-month battle with seizures and skin infections that we later attributed to likely being a frontal-lobe brain tumor. Even after those six or seven months of gradual deterioration, it hit like a bomb when she had stroke-like symptoms and wasn't able to stop rolling over to the left. I was able to be face to face with her while we waited and laid down nose-to-nose as they gave her the shots. Now I know just how deep a privilege that was, to be able to be with her, and seeing your heart break from having to be 45 minutes away - ... Suffice it to say, I am so sorry you had to go through that, sorry for your loss, and so sorry that you weren't able to be there with her. You made the right choice, and I'm sure you know that by now, but that doesn't make it any easier. I only shared my story to hopefully encourage you, to find comradery, and to share in your pain. ❤️ love from Michigan

I just can't believe it. She was such a wonderful girl and I loved watching you together. Our dog was pretty sick shortly after we got her too but we were lucky and she survived and even that was heartbreaking to me so I can't even imagine what you are going through right now. I’ve only found you a few weeks ago and am so happy I did. Just watched this from a year ago - my heart breaks for you. I’ve had my dog for a year and he has brought such joy to my life. Pulled me out of a depression and arguably saved my life. I know it’s been a year for you and the pain is probably not so raw, but I cannot imagine the pain and heartache you must have felt and continue to feel. Hey Will. We're picking up my son's new Cane Corso puppy in just under three weeks. Going to meet him on Thursday for the first time. So have been watched many of your Fenrir videos as well as tons of Jason Corey's with Bruce Wayne & Joey Justice. This video popped up on TH-cam today as a recommended video. Totally broke my heart. Mable looked absolutely gorgeous and you were clearly and understandably destroyed by her passing. I knownits been a long time since, but wanted to share my empathy with you, having lost a 4 year old German Shepherd to catastrophic organ failure. Leaves a terrible hole. Thank you for sharing this video. Took courage. I've now gone right back to the first video you did with Mable, and will watch your journey with her, tinge with a sadness knowing what will come. Devastating and heartbreaking man.... hopefully the pain will have dulled somewhat by now, but it's never gone completely. I went through something similar with my Cocker Spaniel (was perfect in the morning and passed by the end of the day) but he was 10 years old. Not a baby. This made me hug my dog a little extra long.

Will, I appreciate so much you taking the time to do these videos when you were in so much pain. I have wanted one of these beautiful animals for a long time. Recently, my daughter found a puppy that she wanted to get for me. Mother was Cane Corso and father was a Pit Bull. Little Ella is a beauty. At her 3 month vet visit she was diagnosed with a grade 4 heart murmur. I tried hard not to get too upset as the vet said she might grow out of it in a month or so - so we waited and watched. At her 4 month visit, the heart murmur was confirmed and an EKG was done the following day. He says she has a Tricuspid Valve Dysplasia which is basically a bad valve between the upper and lower chamber of the right side of her heart, plus it is enlarged. Nothing that he can do, no drugs, no surgery. I searched for a second opinion - for anyone that was able to see her....So, in less than two weeks she has an appointment with a cardiologist at OSU College of Veterinary Medicine. We are hoping beyond hope that maybe it was a misdiagnosis or that some other procedure can be done. We want to do your course, so hope along with us that she is strong enough to grow to an adult. Thanks for making me not feel alone here - this is no fun and I cried along with you.

I've recently started watching your videos on puppy training, including the ones with Mabel, so stumbling upon this video is so heartbreaking 💔 I've never had a dog, but I've had a couple cats that both had unexpected health scares & sudden deaths, so I absolutely get the pain. You're a wonderful dog parent, leader, and trainer, and you 110% gave Mabel such a happy and well-structured life while she was still here. Unbelievably tragic. I feel as though I've lost my own puppy because you have shared your journey from the beginning and I have watched every episode. I wish I could hug right now. Thank you for sharing...tears and all.
May the memories you made with Mabel be cherished forever, she was a precious puppy and what happened to her it's unfortunate.
You gave her a loving home and a wonderful family, she got to chew many toys and to enjoy a lot of tasty treats, as well as unlimited cuddles. I believe there's nothing more a dog could have asked for, and you did everything you could to make her happy.
I'm sure Mable appreciated all of it until the very end, and although incredibly hard, it was the right call to make to help her pass on peacefully.
We will all miss her, but as every living thing does, she has left her mark in the world, bringing joy to many people and especially your family. As long as that joy remains, so will Mable, she will always live in your heart, anywhere you go.
I know I'm a couple years late and nothing can be said to take away your loss. We are all here with you. Thoughts, prayers and hugs.

I know this was 2 years ago but I am so sorry for your loss Will.
I had to put my Odin down an about a little over a year ago and I was just as choked up as you are in this video. Watching this video brought all those emotions back.
On top of that, just last month I lost my other dog to a stroke while my family and I were going for a walk without any warning.
We got her when she was 8 weeks old and she passed at just a couple of months shy of turning 11.
All that to say I love your videos and appreciate you sharing that painful experience with us.
Now we have a 10 month old German Shepherd that wandered into our life which is how I stumbled across your videos/channel.
I’m hoping to successfully use your guidance to train her to be a proper well mannered lady. She’s already showing us how intelligent she is.

Hi Will, Subscribed to your channel 3 weeks ago after I got a rescue dog (He's a staffy cross and is 17 months old) and thought about how do i retrain a dog that was someone elses. I decided to watch your videos from start to finish and I've now got here. The decision to put down a much loved pet is never easy (I've had to put down my Staffy and in November last year we put down my partners Sprocker) and for you to let all of these emotions loose on the net deserves nothing but the utmost respect. I'm very glad I found your channel and 3 weeks in all your advice is starting to work on him so thank you very very much for not stopping the creation of these videos. You have definitely helped out more people than you realise.

I found your videos a little while ago and loved how articulate you are - but having a very poorly dad I have clearly missed a lot with Mabel. I have an 18 month old Landseer Newfoundland ‘teenager’, and am an absolute ‘behaviour nurd’, so if you ever wish to use her for your videos, you’re more than welcome.

Will I can’t begin to imagine what your going through at this very moment. However I am gonna be that guy and say that everything has a purpose. We may not know why something has happened and it may hurt like hell but in the end it will work itself out. Take time, mourn and get with your breeder they need to know. You may not get another puppy for a bit but realize you have a lot of people on here rooting for you and your family. Much respect from Colorado! I'm a new subber and I just saw this - thank you for sharing your story with Mable. My heart was breaking for you and your family, that you went through this, and then I saw it was posted 4 years ago. ... Wow.
She was certainly loved and held dearly while she was with you and your family.
About 2 years ago, we had to put our beautiful American Staffy rescue down. She was about 4 years old, and we had just gone through a 9-month battle with seizures and skin infections that we later attributed to likely being a frontal-lobe brain tumor. Even after those six or seven months of gradual deterioration, it hit like a bomb when she had stroke-like symptoms and wasn't able to stop rolling over to the left. I was able to be face to face with her while we waited and laid down nose-to-nose as they gave her the shots. Now I know just how deep a privilege that was, to be able to be with her, and seeing your heart break from having to be 45 minutes away -

Suffice it to say, I am so sorry you had to go through that, sorry for your loss, and so sorry that you weren't able to be there with her. You made the right choice, and I'm sure you know that by now, but that doesn't make it any easier. I only shared my story to hopefully encourage you, to find comradery, and to share in your pain.
