When I was a child I had a wolf dog. Her mother was 100% Gray Wolf, and her father was 50/50 German Shepherd and Samoyed. She was a very large dog, very friendly to everybody and I loved her dearly.
I was lucky that she lived until the age of 17, which is very old for a large dog.
As a child I had a malamute wolf +a family Rottweiler in the mix.. he was discolored for hos breeder so we got him ❤ I was 4 ft10 in and he sat next to me just as tall...never got THE DNA done..
Ocean reminds me of him alot❤❤
And when I was 10 I had a unicorn. He was so loyal, loving & brave. He used to shat rainbows with bells on. I still miss him to this day 😔

To be fair, most people further down the information chain probably just got confused or accepted it since some German Shepherds can look similar to wolf dogs, especially if their colouration is different from the normal black and tan. I used to own a long-haired all black German Shepherd, and I still remember all the people who would say that she looked just like a bear or wolf, and when watching wolf documentaries there was usually at least one she was a dead ringer for.
The first Tiktoker who deliberately stolen images and changed the primary source was an arse and an idiot though.
Shepherd's are half wolf anyways. All in all a damn wolf is just a wild dog bra no difference

@@mikewest9033 Now that's just not true. They have a wolf-like build. It hasn't descended far from their wolf ancestors. But if they were genetically the same as wolves they WOULD be wolves. They're not, they're very closely related. With bone and fur and behavior differences.
I am on my 4th and last wolfdog. Everything you said about them is correct. Though I love them ,I don't recommend average dog owners get them. My wolfdogs were raised and trained by me. They had someone at home 24/7 and lived in my home. As I am old now, I will not get another because I wouldn't want the wolfdog to end up ownerless. As you said they are hard to rehome. My next dog will be 100% dog. I'm glad I had the pleasure of owning wolfdog as their intelligent and loving is incredible. Enjoy your wolfdog and congratulations on your success.

Congratulations on the 1 million! You worked very hard for it, and I love your content! I follow Ocean on your IG and here on TH-cam. She has turned into such a beautiful adult dog. Just stunning! I have a 2 year old husky now and her puppy hood was quite challenging. A lot of positive reinforcement and much, much, patience. In the long run it pays off. She has grown into a beautiful and pretty well trained dog. One of your TH-cam videos was the deciding factor that made me get her. ( Thank you! 💕) Even though her puppy days were cute and I miss them at times, I would not want to go through it again lol. It breaks my heart to see so many Siberian Huskies in shelters and up for adoption because the owners novelty of the dog wore off. As I'm sure that goes for wolf-dogs as well. Thank you for sharing your beautiful journey with us and educating the public on different breeds. Here is to another one million subscribers! 🎉I will be watching for sure. 🎉❤

I had a wolf dog once. He was my sons. He was incredibly beautiful and so intelligent. He was also quite interesting to watch. He would play with my Boxer but he never barked and only howled sometimes. He was grey and white and tan.
When people came to visit, he would circle the perimeter of our yard watching them from a distance. He never jumped up on people and I didn’t have to train him not to the way we have to most dogs. He was huge also! Well, it was probably mostly his fur. lol. It was so thick. He loved the snow better than anything else. I’d have to put a collar and leash on him and pull him over the mounds of snow. He just slid over them.
Strangely, he never left our yard either, until the day he did. I guess wolves also are drawn to fence dogs in heat. A neighbor down the road had a female dog and they called me upset because he was there.
I rushed out the door to go get him with my 2 yr old and my 1 month old. I know I’ll be judged for this but I accidentally ran over him right after I got him from my neighbors property. My husband was gone, neighbors were angry and threatening to shoot him and I was afraid to put him in my SUV with a newborn baby.
So, I drove very slowly with a super long leash as he ran beside me. For some reason, he got startled and ran sideways right under my back tire. I felt it and I was distraught! I jumped out of my car and a different neighbor said, “It’s ok! You didn’t run over him. I saw what happened.” I was hopeful but I’d felt it and knew he was wrong. Got him home and he was so gentle and sweet even while dying. Some dogs will become aggressive. He didn’t. He ended up dying within a few mns and it was traumatic. I’ll never forget it or forgive myself. He was amazing!
Please Dont Judge Yourself So Harshly For The Incident That Injured Your Sons Beloved Pet. Accidents Happen And I Can Sense Absolutely How Much You Also Loved Him. Please Forgive Yourself And Dont Hang On To That Guilt. Im Sure Your Sons Wolf Dog Does Not Even In Spirit. ❤
I love blue wolf dogs, Sadly since it’s temper doesn’t match well with our living situation, we settled on a different but still as rare breed, The Clumber Spaniel!

Clumbers are SO beguiling! ❤Since they're not very common, I'm glad to see that the breed has another dedicated fan. Let's just hope no breed goes through what's happening to the French bulldog this decade.
She's gorgeous! The wife and I have had 3 wolfdogs so we know what a challenge they can be, but so worth it. Timber, our last wolfdog was 125lbs!

At first, I doubted it when I saw the thumbnail. However, upon closer look, I realized that the wolf is truly beautiful.
First, congratulations on your Award from TH-cam!!!! I think your girl is stunning. I have to say something that will sound odd but here goes. I have a brother, sister duo of MaineCoons. My girl is a beautiful black/smoke and my boy Remy is a Blue. So here is the odd thing. My boy blue and your Blue girl look alike!!! My cat is big as MaineCoons are but his eyes are so similar to your girl's. The facial expressions are also similar. Now Ocean doesn't look like a cat as Remy doesn't look like a dog but they look so alike. I am so amazed by this. I wish I could send you a photo of him. Thank you for standing your ground and constantly standing behind what you do. Congratulations again on being such a fantastic responsible Puppy Mamma. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I know that I couldn't have one because I live in an apartment and I knew a lot of big dogs in my childhood (all so kind !) and always knew they need proper space and education to be happy in their paws 💜

Oh my gosh an Ocean episode! I have been following her and you guys this story from the moment I found out about her, as a long time subscriber I was surprised and thrilled to see you finally get a dog that's a little bit closer to the wolf, as we all know that's your dream animal!
I never knew how much I wanted a wolf dog, let alone one that was blue until I saw Ocean! You're also the one that made me realize how much blue agouti Huskies, and they are definitely on my list of dogs to own one day!
Ocean is literally my dream dog, she's beautiful, and her sideburns are absolutely amazing as well as her coat type and fur length! Her and Kal-el are a dream I'm working towards one day! If not then maybe one day I'll have an too Ocean, and perhaps a black version of Ocean as well? Height, eyes, snout and all!

We had a wolfdog Nika, he passed away, and now have another wolfdog Koda, they are the most loyal and loving animals ever! I love them alot! Nika was 96% wolf and husky, Koda is Timber wolf, Grey wolf and siberian husky mix. They very lovable!!!
She is just gorgeous. Reminds me of a sled dog i knew named Butcho...he could sit down and stare me in the face. And i am over six feet. He was a malamute mixed with a Russian timberwolf. Just beautifully massive. Ocean is just truly magnificent.

The dog I used to have has a lot of the same look as Ocean but was much smaller. Did her DNA and her highest percentages were 70% chow chow and 10% akita. She is my profile pic.

Honestly I was pretty pissed when people kept misinforming everyone else, and not only that: they stole her reels THEN had the balls the spread even more fake information. Funny old world we live in. I saw the short clips of this dog on youtube and was impressed by her beauty...but that's as far as i got with it, didn't know where other video clips were and I kind of forgot to go searching. Fast forward to today when youtube showed this video on it's home page and I finally get to know more about her:) I met Anneka Svenska probably over a decade ago now when I was volunteering for the UKWCT, as she briefly volunteered there and it is good to see that she is still very active with canines:) Well done on getting the 1million subscribers, that is amazing.

Thanks for the video, very informative and Ocean is a dream dog. A lot of her traits remind me of my Yakutian Laika, Talan. He likes to climb like a cat and is very skittish, unlike my confident Samoyed. I don't know about Ocean but he needs a lot of exercise. Congrats on your TH-cam subscriber award!! I've been a follower for quite some time and it's because of you that help me decide to get my Yakutian Laika, Talan. I already had Samoyeds. She is the sweetest thing. I own a male Akita who is very chill until the hunter instinct takes over. Then he doesn't hear me at all. We are around a lot of small dogs often who sense his nature and bark at him all the time. He just ignores them, but I'm not about to take my dog to the dog park.😂

Thank you! Finally, someone who got her facts on BOTH wolg and dog. It is essential to protect them so they understand human behaviour. I can't stand people who want a wolfdog! Because it's so cool or some other cruel things. Wolfdogs need to be raised from a puppy. I was in the woods with an ex and h8s big strong hunters! 😂 I was walking down a path to get water from the pump when a wolf showed itself. I stopped breathless at her beauty. She smelt me, head butt my hand, and ran back to her pack. I was crying, tears of honour and joy. I feel I was blessed by that wolf.
