Fossil Cup meta gets kind of stale seeing fairly formulaic teams, but at least stuff like Crawdaunt and Gastrodon have some nice upside. Was such a pleasure seeing that bubble ghost get popped.

I didn't play anymore of the Fossil cup just because I was seeing those blue/pink balloons all over the place, very satisfying to see your Crawdaunt sweeping them off
Sharpeedo is great to Jelicent too, shadow or normal, IT dosn't matter... :)
Lanturn his Thunderbolt will take care of those balloons also.
I'm running bibarel to do a similar thing even tho it has a worse matchup than crawdaunt. Still works tho. But it's nice to see crawdaunt get some competitive play

I've been running mawile lead with crawdaunt safe swap. I did have sharkpedo in the back but I switched it to bubble greninja. Been a lot of fun.
I wish I had a shadow mawile to use!

Man, the Fossil Cup is driving me crazy. I was playing the team with Jellicent lead and Lucario/Escavalier in the back, but I abandoned it because 80% of leads were Jellicents. Annoying and bait-dependent mirror match with my back line weak to Jellicent, it just didn't work.
Switched to a team with Perrserker lead. I immediately had 4 straight Escavaliers in the lead. All 4 times, I swap to Jellicent and they counter with Lanturn. A line I had never seen before, and now I see it in every battle.
Switch to the line with Ferrothorn lead and water in back. First 5 battles, I get 3 Ferrothorn mirrors, 1 Escavalier, 1 Lucario lead. I don't know what to do anymore.
Ever since the very moment I abandoned the Jellicent lead because there were too many Jellicent mirrors, I have not seen a single Jellicent lead.
I feel your frustration. This cup hasn't been my favorite either due to how rps it feels. I can't seem to find my footing to consistently climb
I stick with bulky Pokemon for this one. Registeel/jellicent is the most consistent core since there really isn't many OHKO moves for these Pokemon, which means you can save shields. I alternate my third Pokemon between melmetal, escavalier, and ferrothorn depending on how I feel like playing.
My boyfriend puts your videos on to annoy me when you say “and that is a good game” 😂 it’s become a running joke everytime he does something upsetting he’ll say that line and then we laugh :) your videos are great besides that 😂

Thats what I always wanted to see i hate jellicent idk why but when I farm with hex/snarl fast move Pokemon it doesn't goes as the way it should like I misses some fast moves that why i hate them Pokemon like Alolan muk and jellicent only*
A Corphish community day giving Crawdaunt either Superpower or Sludge Wave would be pretty cool, give the wallbreaker king some of his coverage moves

I'm probably one of the only people running Bisharp and he's a monster. On the side note you need to have alignment cause a counter user melts him. But when you get alignment on mine I've been running snarl,dark pulse and focus blast you just about one shot everything.

I used ariados crawdunt mandibuzz during gl remix cup at the start of the season. And it was good since most of the fairies were banned and alolan Marowak was virtually everywhere crawdunt was having field day as long as Mandi was drawing out the counter or charm user..

THIS IS SO SMART i was TRYING to find a dark type and settled on sharpedo lol but this is great!!
It has more bulk then sharpedo and is spammier, a bit more of my play style :)
I've been using Tyrunt and despite getting equal amount of wins and losses, it's worth seeing my little boi killing stuff. Gonna try to get the sets I have submitted in time before the cup ends

This game's battle system needs more variety, I don't know why we're not complaining more seriously to Niantic whether we think they'll comply or not. Everything's too predetermined, there should be mechanics to turn the tides no matter the typing you bring to battle.
This meta specifically feels poorly constructed to me. Others have a lot more flexibility, where shield and energy advantage can flip games
