Question, why you do you make it seem as if it's an official WoW GM when it was on a private server and says so in the description? A lot of people assume it's an official GM, just mention it in the video 'Hellfire private server'' instead of just Hellfire.
Yeah, I don't see why anyone would care. Almost seems like the guy is trying to act like his pretend GM status is relatable to being an actual GM. I looked at his channel and the top row of his videos contains THREE uploads about how he was a GM.
Thought the same .. privat server gm.. thats like i made a very bad TH-cam Video and call me actor.. it means nothing.. so this whole Q&A is garbage ^^ was pserver Admin for some privat servers myself ans don't call me World of Warcraft Admin or Dev
like i said i was Admin of some Server with ob er 20k players... i know how "hard" it can.. but it is still nothing compared to an actual gm from wow cause nobody gives a shit about being banned on a pserver so there are much more stupid.. or obvious Hackers there.. so.. no its not the same.. as an Admin i had to fix much shit alone or in a Team of 3 - 4 devs.. shit that was caused from shitty Emulation or mysql errors . thats Not the same on live Server.. i give him that he was gm on one Server.. but its still pserver.. so he wasnt actually a gm from wow.. (sry for typos writing from a german phone xD)
every GM i have ever come across where super nice people, remember one time i messed up and caged a pet i could not uncage, he came along and freed him for me and gave me a cinder kitten
GM on a retail server also means nothing then... Private servers are real projects that thousands of people play on (and have been for about a decade now). Northdale server has 13,000+ players at the moment. And private servers are the reason why Blizzard is making Classic WoW.
On official servers it's your JOB to help players ( you get paid for it ) and you are forced to be nice and friendly, that's why GMs on private servers act like totally retards sometimes on private servers, cuz they know they will get away with it, hence why i stopped playing private servers Also to blownspeakersss , 13k people is nothing to what Blizzard servers are able to host
Every private server GM I've ever encountered is chill as hell. They volunteer their time to help. And your statement about Blizzard servers is dumb. They may be _able_ to host more players because of better technology, but that's irrelevant. Blizzard servers don't generally have 13k players on at a single time, which is why they made everything cross-realm. The overwhelming success of Lightshope and other pservers is an embarrassment to retail wow lol.
Official WoW GMs vs Private WoW Server GMs are pretty different. It'd take a lot more work and requirements to be an Official GM. Not discrediting you. I'm sure the more popular Private Servers had to do a lot more background checking, but I would rather have an Ex-Blizzard GM answer some questions.
On official servers it's your JOB to help players ( you get paid for it ) and you are forced to be nice and friendly, that's why GMs on private servers act like totally retards sometimes on private servers, cuz they know they will get away with it, hence why i stopped playing private servers
You will never hear from a Blizzard employee about any of this stuff. It's much of the same work using the same software. The only difference is that there are probably a lot more hackers.
Wow. When I was a DM on an NWN 1 "adult" social server I built a "home" which included rooms, and a community room with a table that seated 8 and ended up using it for arbitration between players. It was a cave'like area off the sewers with a little lava river running thru the middle with a little bridge over it. The place to "take" angry players really helped since it put them in a place that was both unfamiliar, but comfortable (that's wierd), and unthreatening... well, except me since I could turn them into penguins. Ahhhh the good old days.
One time i was in darkshore all the way back in early vanilla, near the horde base but on an alliance toon, and for the life of me i could not find the quest item at the demon camp, so like an idiot i put in a ticket saying that i couldn't find it and i thought it might be a broken quest, and it only took a few minutes for a gm to contact me and he actually gave me a 'clue' by telling me to look at the base of a certain pole. I did that and the object was there, but i don't think gm's are supposed to help with quests. Considering it was only about 6 months into vanilla the rules were probably very lax on gm's at that time, but he did help me and i completed the quest. It was the demon camp just north of the Mor'shan ramparts, but i cant remember all the details. Pretty cool.
I used to wall walk and glitch into out of bounds areas A LOT (old stratholme, Hyjal, GM island, etc.), did GMs not care about that so much back then? I was never banned or warned which I found really surprising.
I used to play on Kronos the GM Flash sing me digging around and org with a whole bunch of size increasing stuff while wearing an ogre suit he increased my size by like three times and let me have a little bit of fun for like a minute and then he shrunk me back down
Question: Can GM's see a player's interface? Like what the player is clicking at that time or have pulled up? Also, can you see who we searched in the "Who" tab? hahahh
What is with all the people bitching about him not being an actual Blizzard employee? Yeah no shit Sherlock. Blizzard employees sign non disclosure agreements and will never talk about their work. Have you ever met anyone who worked for Blizzard? Completely aside from the fact that they'd be sued straight into the ground those people all have this code honor that keeps them from disrespecting the games at all. Even former employees will go out of their way to protect the games and that definitely includes not making videos like "Ex-WoW Gamemaster Answers Your Questions". x_x
Do you recall all of your gm macros displayed in this video to efficiently use your commands? I mess around on my own private server from time to time, and I'd really appreciate it if you could share what you're using, preferably what the macro is and what is does. I can see the names of some of them, but I'd be eternally grateful if you could paste the macro scripts somewhere for each macro, if that's not too much work for you, of course. That's assuming you still have them written down or memorized :) I know this video is 8 months old now, so I thank you if you read and reply. Cheers.
how does one apply for a gm position? what are the requirements/talents one must have and lastly how much time does it take of your day, and are you getting paid for that time?
How much time a day did you spend on WoW in general while being a GM (Moderating tickets, actually playing the game or anything in the game that required your attention)
they is a guy that using a bot for uncutting enchanting scroll he is online about 24/24 and 7/7 what should i do except right click on him and select report witch as i see is not working because he is still botting.... this is killing me his name is tangerin alliance side on server magtheridon
Why do new GMs suck? They sound like automated robots with no emotion now, a complete 180 from the earlier days of the game where they actually felt like they cared about the game and players, even when punishing people. EDIT: Baw, thought you meant an actual Blizzard employed live GM.
Blizzard employees sign nondisclosure agreements so they would never make a video like this. Also, I personally had almost the exact opposite experience. I was in the beta for the game and then played during the release. In my experience the GMs during that time were very quick to punish and even ban players for doing things that were literally apart of the game. I was myself temp banned when me and some friends managed to stealth kill an alliance leader. Not even a raid boss and it was legit game mechanics we were using. When we tried to appeal we got some very cold responses from Blizzard. Just "You broke the rules. BEEP BOOP. You get punished now!". Y'know? It was like that straight through Burning Crusade. Conversely I've talked to Blizzard employees more recently on the phone about issues with my account and my wife's account. I've chatted with them in GM chat about glitched quests. They were all really nice and very understanding. I've done some crazy things that caught the eye of a GM and they just congratulated me. LoL :)
why do people fucking whine about this being a private server, they do the exact same thing as a official blizzard gm, no difference what so ever, same commands same everything
What kinda if any, pranks did you play on people? I know of seeing videos of people rolling into PvP and then GM on the other team making the fight long but funny.
Have you ever made a mistake..yes..only once..gave a player gm speeed? Straight after that you say you accidentally banned the wrong player..i would say thats a massive fucking mistake.

Hellfire was an extremely well known server, I'm pretty sure everyone knows Hellfire is an unofficial server.
Hellfire is also the name of an official server, so no, it doesn't tell you that it's private
How would I know Moonsti isn't EU if I just got this video recommended on my feed? Are you that dense? -_-
Exactly the point I was making, for some reason the guy thinks that the only people that ever get this video recommended are big time fans of Moonsti
Honestly, I think it was just a mistake. He mentioned it was a private server in the other video.
Ex GM...on a private server...yay...
Yeah, I don't see why anyone would care. Almost seems like the guy is trying to act like his pretend GM status is relatable to being an actual GM. I looked at his channel and the top row of his videos contains THREE uploads about how he was a GM.

ppl are just jealous and fucking retarded.
Yeah probably take a look at wowcircle or warmane, then talk again about how "easy or non creditworthy" beeing a GM on a private server is...
like i said i was Admin of some Server with ob er 20k players... i know how "hard" it can.. but it is still nothing compared to an actual gm from wow cause nobody gives a shit about being banned on a pserver so there are much more stupid.. or obvious Hackers there.. so.. no its not the same.. as an Admin i had to fix much shit alone or in a Team of 3 - 4 devs.. shit that was caused from shitty Emulation or mysql errors . thats Not the same on live Server.. i give him that he was gm on one Server.. but its still pserver.. so he wasnt actually a gm from wow..

''Ex WoW Bootleg server GM Q&A'' is more of a fitting title.
Bruh quit the borderline clickbait. You were a GM on a private server, that means pretty much nothing.
Would it mean something if he was a official blizzard gm to you?
memes for example, if the title of the video was "Ex-WoW Hellfire GM" instead of just claiming to be a WoW GM.
GM on a retail server also means nothing then...

Fire away.......
Goes to the effort of making a Q&A. Answers half the questions with "yep" "no" "why would i" "just apply"
GM on a private server.....
Ikr
Someone's gotta do it, a gig is a gig is a gig
I doubt it's that different to the official servers, tbh.
It's still an insight into what it's like.
On official servers it's your JOB to help players ( you get paid for it ) and you are forced to be nice and friendly, that's why GMs on private servers act like totally retards sometimes on private servers, cuz they know they will get away with it, hence why i stopped playing private servers

I was a EM (basically GM but rather than fixing stuff, just making random events) on magic WoW for over a year when that was a thing :D..
Question what were the things you did to your gm guild ?
Doesnt hurt to ask
Lmao dude thats awsome sounds like a fun job
I'm a gm on my server, such an accomplishment
Thank you for sharing that with us. Even for an old former Alliance Player like myself it was VERY informative... :)
Veng3r pay heed in desc that its a private serv. Not 100% the same
Meh, I still enjoyed it... :D
Love the video: D
question: has anyone ever asked for you to give them an item that they did everything for but it would bug out and not give it to them?
I used to play on Kronos the GM Flash sing me digging around and org with a whole bunch of size increasing stuff while wearing an ogre suit he increased my size by like three times and let me have a little bit of fun for like a minute and then he shrunk me back down
Question: Can GM's see a player's interface? Like what the player is clicking at that time or have pulled up? Also, can you see who we searched in the "Who" tab? hahahh
No.
I hosted a couple small servers, helped create a couple of the large ones....was a pain in the fuckin ass.
Great video

private server GMs dont count :P
Calling himself a gm in thrid person is absolutly worth a downvote
calling himself a gm in third person on a private server is worth lots of downvotes
They arent even "Private" as they are open to the public.. N
Why did you stop being a gm?
this is exactly what i was gunna ask
Because the server was shutdown.
Have you seen Hellfire recently?
we crashed our server and fucked up our backups by spawning a FUCKING CHAIR on GM island once.
perm banned, not as a GM though? We (in EU) where never allowed to perm ban accounts. They had to go to a different dept.

how does one apply for a gm position? what are the requirements/talents one must have and lastly how much time does it take of your day, and are you getting paid for that time?
yah all they do is copy + paste messages like talk about the easiest job in the world
😝😝😝😝

How do you deal with hackers from other countries? I guess aside from banning them, theres isn't much you can do to stop it from reoccuring. :/
well theres always the option to troll them infinately :D you know.. get a taste of your own medicine type thing :D
How to apply!?
Pretty sure Michael from Group B was Vast.
Hello mate may i get help for u , cuz i have been permenant ban by accident for around 1 year till now
For the alliance!
Has anyone treated your life for banning them?
a Q why a GM WONT LISTEN TO U WHEN HE freeze and BAN U ??
Why do new GMs suck? They sound like automated robots with no emotion now, a complete 180 from the earlier days of the game where they actually felt like they cared about the game and players, even when punishing people.

Short, sweet, to the point. No BS, no rants, sub, like, EZ. Keep up the great work!
how old and how do you become a gm
why do people fucking whine about this being a private server, they do the exact same thing as a official blizzard gm, no difference what so ever, same commands same everything
Do you get paid for being a GM if so how much?
Question, do you get payed as GM?
If you were Offered To be a Gm On Other Servers DId you accept? or did you Decline Also Can you Be a gm for multipe Servers?
Bears
Beets
Battlestar Galactica
Do you wish you could be GM again?
When you relize a GM could be watching you...
Is this a private server or Offical.
Is being a gm a job or just for fun or how does it work?
Iliaz 420 gm is a job but he was gm on private server so its not exactly as a job then but help to control
What kinda if any, pranks did you play on people? I know of seeing videos of people rolling into PvP and then GM on the other team making the fight long but funny.
A Non-Retail Private-ServerWoW GM..... You should really include that in the title.
On the PRIVATE server Hellfire. Cmon dude stop embellishing it lol. Granted, this is an old video but you mention being a GM in other vids as well.
How does one become a GM? Can you do this from your home or do you have to work at their headquarters?
Have you ever made a mistake..yes..only once..gave a player gm speeed? Straight after that you say you accidentally banned the wrong player..i would say thats a massive fucking mistake.
Did you troll players and not gms?
My only question is.. Where do you apply
Thanks
I wanna become a GM one day wait I will one day but after the marines XD.
Not really a WoW GM then.
I can also say that I'm an ex GM then because I setup my own tbc server years ago and spawned some shit on a GM account. lol
Misleading title, you're an ex Private server GM
Reported for fake title
Do a part 3 already
Well, you were a GM in a private server so I don't think it counts.
Do you get paid to be a GM?
is it hard to become a gm(game master not guild)?
I swear you don't have to keep saying "Question"
question
I don't have one
Did u got paid?
so you are the guy who is always banning me
Stop saying 'question' before every question T.T
Haha who wasn't a GM on a private server? xD
love it

Hmm. This looks interesting. Maybe I should look into applying

Wesley VL holy shit
Hahhahahahahhahahahah.....hahahahha
Useless
What a joke lol. You were a mod on a private server full of people stealing assets. Far from a WoW GM.
I wish I could see how many dislikes you have on this video...
BOLOGNA, private server is NOT being a wow GM. Not interested in this channel.
good job on bein a game moderator but I'm very sry your not a real game Master like I am if are and u have earned the title of game Master that's cool and means u are both a game moderator and a game master and like I tell everyone I don't care what u try to say. with all logic involved u people need to stop acting as if u are a game master like me and many many others out there I earned my status u didn't now like I said if u did earn game Master title from beatin at least 300 games I'd say and have about 10 to 15 years of experience but if not u arnt a game master just a game moderator IV beaten over 500 to 600 games since I was 5 and my gamer Name Shino is now 22 years old I'm now 29 earn it for real like I have.........,..........
