They should change it so 5% of the damage done in a siege or splash-type attack against a bunker gets applied to the units inside, evenly, INSTEAD of the bunker itself. So 95% of the damage of each siege or splash-type attack gets applied to the bunker itself and 5% gets through to the units inside instead of hitting the bunker. This would make it at least somewhat relevant to have medics inside of the bunker and would make logical sense since no fortification that you can shoot out of is going to be 100% effective at blocking all damage to the people inside it.
Thats a cool idea! The medics in a different mod (mobius mod) actually heal machines as well, I've always wondered if that means they could heal bunkers from inside the bunker
Fun fact 1) the popular theory in the community is that the unlocked unit for this mission and for the earlier escort mission were somehow swapped. Because the mobile Hellion would be much better at defending the moving convoy, and the Firebat is much better at holdouts like this with medic support. Fun fact 2) You can delay this mission long enough to unlock Predators. One of the very few missions in the game where the Predator is any good on, and that's mostly because this is a very easy mission in the first place.
