In my college, we have with sodium nitroprusside crystals... But on doing the same test... It didn't work... IDK y... The college confirmed it was urine containing Ketone bodies... 😂😂😂😂
If you are asking about yellow stools It could be cause of Patholigical: raised bile pigments in jaundice, gall bladder inflammation, hepatitis. One needs to get other investigations like liver function test, urine routine, cbc and usg in case of gastric discomfort . Non pathological cause would be simply food colors or turmeric intake.

Try with artificial urine with acetone first,
Then do it on urine sample
