Great video . I program and run 200y 640 fusion and 400y .and brand new I 200 smooth. Great explanation . The hex dia can also be found in machinist hand book or other related material black book for engineering
I know a lot people don't like Mazatrol . But it's all I know . I can run g code machine like Haas . But I like speed of Mazatrol. At our shop we only have 3 Mazatrol machines left out of 50 machines that other brands . We do prototype and small batch run jobs . We use the milling alot angler milling . We are cutting internal hex .
I've worked mostly on Mazaks, I ran t1, t2, r32, nexus, Matrix, and smooth g, in my opinion Mazak improved the way you program with each of their controls dramatically, I also ran Hurcos, Dmg mori with the newest control and I hate it, touch screen is terrible as well as Mori nt with 2 spindles 5 axes with full bottom turrets, company I work for we have zero issues with Mazak, can't say the same with mori or Hurcos, Mazaks are awesome for fast low production parts, give me a blueprint and material and come back in few and part be done, never revived a part I couldn't program in Mazatrol, for 5 axes need a cam program but I don't work on integrex, if you don't run Mazatrol but cam program, you might as well buy any machine out there and it will give you similar results, Mazatrol's super power is fast process, programming on a spot, easy adjustments and full control and understanding what's going on, you program and you'll know how machine will behave, to me personally, if Mazatrol would be a woman, I'd marry her tomorrow.
@@martyz3232 thanks ,buddy face mill endmill whichever because there is no way to use probe for those right? or maybe they're like setting up the drill its and their relationship to the center of the part/chuck
@@robertolsen9721 I am sure you will be a Happy man waking up on Tuesday morning 😉👍 Milling in C Axis is fairly easy. It's Milling across the part in X Axis is when a Y Axis machine becomes more useful. But personally. I would prefer to Mill Y Axis in a CNC Mill. Live Tools are great. But lack enough power to do any sought of heavy cutting. IF i was to buy a new Lathe. I would only buy up to 4 Axis X,Z,C & B. A Sub Spindle does comes in handy at times. But can be a little time consuming to set up. Wish you all the best with your latest purchase. Peter 👍
@@weldmachine Thank you for responding! I'm just a employee so I must be happy with what I get but they went for Mazak as I wanted. The company will expand next year and depending on what kind of jobs we're getting it could be another lathe machine investment. My coworker has y axis in his Doosan lahte. My boss was s little bit stingy not choosing the MSY version, an y axis will cost additional ~$25000 converted from 225000 Swedish kronor. Right now im working in a Harrison teach in lahte with a 8 tool turret from 2005
Off topic but how do you guys make cycles for jaw cutting on mazatrol would be very interested in a video on that

@@martyz3232 are you going to post a video on how to register live tools?
@@christophercolumbus8944 I've did that on one of the videos but I'll make one that's dedicated just to that.

how do you calculate r value to get to .866? I'm new to Mazak . I normal run Doosan. thank you
You have to figure out not the Diameter over flats but the corner to corner Diameter
@@martyz3232 thank you how do i locked the spindle so i can loosen the jaw?
C-connect option
How many mazak machine do you have in your company?
You can also do that unit with 3 lines and a clockwise shift/repeat end
Thats a great idea actually, thanks for the input.
I have watched a few of your videos.
But can't recall if your machine is a Y axis or only up to C axis ?
Just curious.
Looks like a c only, otherwise the y hade been i use on the hexagon
I was wrong since it is MY version it has Y axis
I will get a Quick turn compact ML this coming Tuesday. Will i be able to make an hexagon without Y axis?

Would this work on a 5 axis integrex?
Sure, units are the same
Thanks
