so the corner or C function you referred to in the end of your video is for example if you were milling an inside pocket or outside pocket mill you can select C for chamfer or R for radius and put a radius or chamfer in the corners of your pocket, example if your using a .25 endmill on an inside pocket mill but you need 1 inch radius in the corner you would select R 1.0

Mazak.learn@gmail. Com, send me a photo and some basic info how your tool is set up, need more info, also make sure your length on top of program is longer set than you drill.

Why wouldn't you start from the center? Just indicate the center and take your outer diameter measurement and set your depth of cut and you don't have to do allot of extra work. Is there a reason you don't use the center?

Also, if this is the finish cut, then ok... I guess. But as the person that usually has to time an internal spline after you did your job, you forgot to make sure your cut is on center. Otherwise I'm sending the job back to you and told you that you f'd up.

If the job is finished then, OK. But this print looks like it has internal and you have to understand the process after you and the holding face the next person has to use.. I would say this is a scrap part because of you not understanding center line.

All I'm getting at is when someone that does the spline, or square, or hex, that has to be timed to that slot, because you didn't use center line, I would send this back. Not trying to offend in any way, just curious. I had to send an entire job back 2 days ago and tell them the same thing. I don't do external. I run internal after guys like you. I still really appreciate seeing the process before me. 👍

Also, no offense again. But "it's the way I've always done it" destroyed businesses. Simple understanding of every process whether if it is before you or after you, still makes a huge difference, depending on the print. 😉
