    Hello. 65 yo INTJ lady here. When I was young up through my 20's being an INTJ was a source of frustration, misunderstanding and alienation. In my 30's I discovered that I was one of those incredibly rare female INTJs. This realization helped me so much. Since then I have been grateful and awestruck by the realities of being an INTJ. The older I get the more I appreciate the gifts given to INTJs. My mind and imagination, for a very long time, has been more real to me than the 3D world.

Videos like this and others are helping me raise my ENTJ and INTP with empathy and compassion for their natural tendencies which are very different than mine.

      I'm an INTJ with a highly developed intuition that has been scary for people in my life. They called it a freakish ESP....My parents thought I had a mental illness for a while because of my need to be alone. One thing that really stuck out for me here was the comment about pattern finding and feeling like everything was a symbol or something to be included in the bigger picture that I was working on when I didn't even know that I was working on it. I've been told that I notice EVERYTHING....it's totally exhausting to be this way but I wouldn't change it for the world. I feel like many people are so clueless about what's going on in life....oh yea and my imagination even at 50 is still completely intact. Very Very rich internal life.

    Well done sir...well done. This has to be one of the most accurate and informative videos explaining an INTJ's intuition. My wife is an ISTJ and it took her many years to trust my intuition, due to my difficulty in explaining how I know "things". On a more person note, when I served in Iraq between 2004-2006, I learned to trust my intuition and it literally saved my life and others. In a short period of time, other guys in my unit would ask me how their "mission" would turn out before leaving the wire. Even today, as a Police Officer for the last 20 years, my intuition still plays a vital role when I'm on duty. Since I'm on the topic, working in Law Enforcement as an INTJ makes me feel like I'm a glutton for punishment at times! I'm definitely in the wrong profession, but I'm so close to retirement I can't quit now! :) Needless to say, I'm an odd ball according to my co-workers. Thanks again for sharing this video, you do good work.

      I’m INTJ and my wife is ISTJ as well, she hasn’t fully learned to trust my intuition yet and I get it because knowing something without being able to explain how you know it doesn’t exactly make sense. It doesn’t exactly make sense to me either but I experience it first hand and get these feelings like “if X happens then Y is most likely to happen next” and it typically comes to me in a matter of seconds without conscious thought. I’ve been purposely making predictions to her about all kinds of things that are not super important right now hoping that she will pick up on the pattern that I’m typically correct that way if we’re ever in a scenario where crap hits the fan she will know to trust my intuition without second guessing. It’s like a training exercise that she doesn’t know she’s participating in.

    This is very well done. For most of my childhood, people thought I was crazy because I could always "see" things before they happened. My knack for prediction was freaky. When you have a 10 year old kid who can predict almost anything with 95% accuracy...that tends to put people off. Now at 39 years old, my friends have come to rely on my "fortune telling" ability. They run almost every major problem by me to get my input. The one major problem I have is what I call "Merlin Vision". I can predict futures for everyone except myself. Just like how Merlin could see the future for everyone, but was blind to his own.

    The reason why we like to think so much about the future it's because we are already bored with the here and now. We want to know what happens next hence we plan at least 5 years into the future. It gives us new energy and opens up new possibilities. We enjoy the journey but once the end goal is reached; we are on to the next goal.

    wow. How you explained INTJ introverted intuition is so right on. ie How it can seep even into dreams as another layer of a perspective to perceive a future outcome that will certainly come about...which seems almost mystical, but is really logical in our brains. Yes! ..especially now as I'm getting into my 70's. Too bad I didn't understand the depth of this when I was in my 30's! Thank you Success for Breakfast!

  • @catherinerhea6336
    @catherinerhea6336 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    THIS is likened to a "deeply mystical gray area" I've often pondered: things I've verbalized decades ago, thinking out loud, that sounded quite "outlandish" to many then, turned out to be BULLSEYE accurate... even now it boggles my mind that "I just knew" & never questioned it. Others have resurfaced long enough to express their surprise, along with "Got any leads for lottery plays???" [It doesn't work that way, at least for me!!!]
    "Stacking" is part of it: I see the entire process evolve in my mind. Like building a structure, certain things have to happen first...then build up from there(the frame, then the compartments, wiring, plumbing, window framework, etc.). I can see the "problems" coming & modify the structure to circumvent them or stand up to the stress; whichever addresses the overall longevity better. I can't delineate exactly how I know... I just do. The accuracy is uncanny!!! Even if it's directly challenged by others, I quietly stand my ground, & my stand bares out in the end. I have played "the devil's advocate" with myself over it, right down to the molecular structure... Once I KNOW I'm right, I'm IRONWOOD about it(ironwood shreds carbide sawblades).🖤

    • @SuccessForBreakfast
      @SuccessForBreakfast  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Oh yes - I absolutely love this explanation!
      That's so incredibly well articulated; I can't thank you enough for this insight. 🙌🏻
      I'm sure others are going to get a lot from this. So, before you knew better, did you just think everyone had the same intuition(s) you did? It's just something everyone did, like breathing?
      I know that was my experience. When people started asking me, how did you know "XYZ" - I found it crazy weird that they didn't know XYZ!

    • @catherinerhea6336
      @catherinerhea6336 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SuccessForBreakfast That question "Did I think everyone else did too?".... Initially as a child, I did. But as I got older... 11...12...13, it became more obvious that my ability to "see" things vividly in my mind literally play out almost like a movie in my head, was a unique capability. I remember asking my Nana about it & she told me then to "keep it to myself...its a gift others will be jealous of if they find out you have it." So discussion about it here is the most I've ever articulated about it. A part of me is relieved to learn others also experience it... I'm Vulcan enough as it is!!!!!😜🖤
      Edit: Gonna expand on this(from my perspective)...
      IF you qualify "comprehension" as a frequency vibration(I'm a Tesla geek!), then the capability to "envision" is a serious amplification of the comprehension frequency. Why is it that few master the capability of elevating themselves & HOLDING that capability, never mind expanding it??? Frequency is one avenue: the brain waves function on frequencies... A higher magnitude activates more "channels," hence a deeper comprehension capability... Sounds logical, correct??? I have contended for years, that we Vulcans function at a higher frequency... We're wired differently. To us, listening to that higher frequency(intuition) is part of our built-in nature. I've never questioned it... but exhaustively researched why it exists... How some of us innately have it, while most don't. Like Tesla, I think I'm "onto something fundamental."🖤

    When I listen to a lecture or presentation, I cannot remember much about it immediately following the event. However, a day or two later, I fully recall it and can explain how it relates to everything far clearer than what the speaker did. I always explained it as, data being fed in and stored out of my reach, processed in the background in my subconscious, and then once processed, handed back to my consciousness so I can use it. It seemed bizarre, but it has always worked that way for me. Second, I used to think I was psychic because I could read people so well as they approached me, that by the time they were close enough to shake my hand, I already knew many of the details about them. I came to understand that I could gather so much information from their body language, facial expressions, their way of dressing, etc, that my brain handed me a conclusion that was very accurate in that short period of a time. Last thing, my brain sets off "red flags" when something is out of place or incongruent. I don't always know what it is, but I know it exists. So, even if something seems completely plausible or logical, the "red flag" going off tells me to re-examine my conclusion. I will walk away from a deal if I get a red flag go off, but will learn later what was wrong and my "hunch" was normally correct.

      @@kevinbeers768 Yes, i agree. In school everyone thought I must learn so much at home, but I just needed time to process in the background what I heard during the lesson :D I never liked lessons when we had to read some long text in a short time and answer the questions not having enough time to process that in the background - those types of lessons were always the most energy draining for me. It would have been perfect if I just read the text a day before, and let the brain process that while I am doing what I want 😀

    Sometimes when I see a situation happening in real-time, I ask myself, "What do you think it's going to happen?" I will add my little opinion on the climate crisis. Although I believe that it is in issue, it is not believable that the elites and the ones in power will allow more efficient power sources that are completely climate friendly, such as nuclear power. Trust me, I have thought about it for a long time but the oil producers and companies that use coal are not going to get rid of their cheap sources of money. The only way is to tear down our current system and replace it. We all know that ain't gonna happen the way things are now. Also INTJ.

      I'm 54 in my early years back in the 70's they were hammering that we were going into an ice age again. All climate predictions going back as far as data has been kept has been wrong. Why? Human hubris.
      We as a species does not control or influence the climate enough to make noticeable change. The largest influence on our climate is from the sun. If it decides to go supernova...well it's over for this planet and many others.
      Also as someone who grew up on the shores of Lake Superior and has been fascinated by the Great Lakes since a child.
      You do realize that a glacier created these lakes roughly 10,000 to 12,000 years ago. A glacier that extended as far south as Kentucky. In places it was a mile thick.
      Question, in 12,000 years this glacier receded over 2,500 miles. Earth has been warming for a long time before the use of fossil fuels. I don't worry about the climate because short of detonating every nuclear weapon on earth at once we are not changing the climate through our existence.
      Only our collective hubris has convinced us we are. We are simply passengers on this planet...not the pilot.

Without the plans, I would not know what to do next. I am now embracing it and have found peace with myself knowing that everything is according to plan.

It was more frustrating mid career after being sought after for a position for specific skills and then providing insight that wasn't what was was wanted to be heard at the time. You find out later that you were right even though you were criticized at the time. If I'd known how much more effort was needed to make my case... I used my intuition too much , that i actually questioned it. I felt like there was someone that told me how to do it and even i don't understand it was correct.

    I like the comment you made about questioning the intuitive solution, and sometimes the logic doesn't seem to add up. I find myself doing this more often now since I have to explain the solution(s) to business partners. Contributing to your video, it SEEMS like the logic doesn't add up, but it's because I hadn't thought of, or forgot, a connecting component that ties everything together with a neat bow.
    Sometimes it really does feel like it's separate from my typical thought process. Sometimes I let my mind wander and take a back seat to observe the train of thought from afar. In doing so, I was surprised to realize the reason everyone I interact with gets lost in the logical leaps, because they're actually quite distant!
    Thank you for the perspective!

    An awesome fictional character example of the INTJs intuition is Magnum PI. During his narations he was always referring to that little voice in the back of his mind telling him things. Other examples that show he is an INTJ are working solo or with a very small trusted group of individuals, Rick, TC and Higgins. He maintained a limited wardrobe to keep some arbitrary decisions simple. He always had a classic Hawaiian shirt and shorts. It was his uniform as it were. While he drove a flashy car his actions, body language and general demeanor are introverted. A good example of this is during the opening credits when he holding the woman in the ocean as she is learning to swim and he breaks the 4th wall by looking at the camera with an almost exasperated face.

As it runs in the background, and seems illogical to the world-a lot of Ni people disregard their primary function in which they operate. I didn't know that only two MBTI types, also INTJs, have this as their first function, we do have a lot of similarities.

    Thank you this presentation. You have explained elements of my life and discoveries that have previously baffled my. I have patents, and have sold ideas commercially based on instantaneous information that popped into my head in answer to some stated question or piece of information. Frankly, it always seemed rather woo-woo prior to seeing this video. I am relieved.

    Correct; my intuition is unconscious. I often wake up in the morning, and I know things. I then have to consciously think and work through the logic paths of how it is that I know this thing. After a lot of conscious thinking, you can then work through the logic that your brain has already unconsciously worked through to derive how it is that you know what is going to happen. It’s like I know all of the potential scenario futures, and I can even weight the probability that each future scenario may occur. Normal people that don’t have introverted intuition, I don’t think, could ever understand how our brains work because they can never experience how our brains think. I guess that is similar to how I don’t understand how can you remember someone’s name or personal information about them when you have only met them once or twice without writing it down and reading it before you meet them again. Or for the extroverted feelers that intuitively know what emotions others are feeling and can easily select words to say back to others to emotionally manipulate them to do what they want them to do. I can understand that other types could possess this ability, but I lack the insight of how it’s possible for them to do this. But with introverted intuition, almost all other types don’t have any reference point to understand what introverted intuition is, given they can never experience it and have no way to understand what they lack.

    im an intj. based on my career, i usually leave a company when my intuition and facts that are available tells me its time to and also tells me what would happen if i stayed on. true enough, these companies i left, struggled to stay afloat or lost its market share within 2-3 years after my departure as i anticipated. its as if i jinxed these companies.

    ‼️ Hello! I’m confused. As you know there are many forms of the Myers’s-Briggs type tests out there. I’ve taken four different tests to see if the results would differ. Two resulted in INTJ-t, the other two resulted in INFJ-t. Anyone have any insights about this you’d like to share with me? ❤️☮️

    What you're calling intuition seems rather obvious most times. I always thought everyone could do it but often ignored it for whatever reason. Perhaps it is as difficult, or more difficult, for others to understand this than for the INTJ to understand it.

  • @chocobrowniewin

    This is something that was quite strange to me. I have predicted many a thing in my lifetime, even about things that are absurd and will likely need many people to pull off.
    Its all about information. From all sources, all genres and areas. When you have enough data, you can predict it.
    To this day, i can accurately predict even who should pair with whom. Even decades before they decide anything.
    But i have learnt not to say anything to anyone. It will throw off the accuracy. Its like Schrodinger's cat. You can only pick one state. Unfortunately, INTJ types will be Cassandra for life.
    Just quietly do your own thing and move the pieces behind the scenes. No need to let others know.
