    This is probably the best sailboat produced by Outremer and certainly one of the best catamarans on the market. Close to perfection!

    Close to perfection! elegant and so well thought out. This will be a popular cat for sure. Outremer clearly listens to the customers. Apart from the obvious 'Outremer' benefits like performance, switchable helm position, interior layout (to name a few) I also like the customizable cabin, low daggerboards, and above all the comfortable desk & nav station, every sailor wants this, this is underestimated by many boatbuilders.

    Would be the perfect blue water performance cruising cat if it had four more things:
    - shaft drive
    - retractable rudders
    - ability to be beached
    - parallel hybrid drive (no need for genset) with at least 5 kW solar and 40 kWh of battery storage

    Looked awesome and they fixed so many issues with 51 but 48v omission is hard to ignore.

    Saw one in Dakhla bay (Morocco) 2 weeks ago… everybody was kitesurfing around the boat… great crew waving at us

    really wish the engine access hatches were rotated 180 degrees and a washboard could be added for protection from following seas for when (not if) you have to go in the engine bay underway....

    Very nice! -- QUESTION -- Could you please show us construction videos that include how you make and install your bulkheads? We watched, with horror, a video series on another brand of catamaran in which Bulkheads were terribly constructed and installed and fastened in a poor manner. We were kind of shocked at the lack of quality (not Outremer). Could you please show us your process. There is nothing online showing this and it would be helpful to many people to understand how you do this important feature.

    Huge improvements over the 51, beautiful boat! The ergonomics of the helm station are odd though. You can’t even see the chart plotter from the upper helm position because it’s tucked under the coach roof…and then no MFD’s or autopilot at the helm to make adjustments? Maybe this video didn’t show this properly though or maybe the setup is customized to what this particular owner wanted? I can’t imagine this being the way they all will be. I look forward to stepping aboard though and understanding this better for myself, cheers!

      Surely Outremer can put a chart plotter anywhere you like. Or you could carry a cheap tablet/phone around, even have mounts installed at various locations.

      Electronics is fully customizable of course. You can have a screen on the bulkhead (even on both sides), pod in different location, etc. You have to test yourself to find out what suits your needs !

      @@catamaransOutremer Thanks for the answer, and good to know this issue can be corrected. Would be much better if the plotter was mounted on top of the coachroof instead if an inefficient position for both the upper and lower helm.
      Could you tell me if this boat is still made with Polyester resin? Is there an option to upgrade to vinyl ester?

      Of course, we are monitoring evolution of technology, but so far safety margin would be reduced unless you accept to lose space with huge gensets.

      Parallel hybrid engine + hydro regen + maxed out solar on the coach roof adds more, not less, safety margin. Except for cost I fail to see why it wouldn't be preferred over just diesel.
