This is some very solid and good advise, Lars! I made a summary. 1. Choose piano pieces that develop your playing. Choose pieces by good composers who knew the instrument well. Work on three pieces of a different style. 2. Technical exercises to develop finger- and arm-movements. 3. Etudes - both purely technical etudes and later concert studies. 4. Scales in all keys. 5. Intervals and chords. First bonus: sing everything you play. Second bonus: read aloud the notes, count aloud the rhythm.
I discovered your channel yesterday. I already watched a few videos and get some very precious advices that I am going to apply from now to my piano practice. You’re a great teacher. Thanks Lars!
These are excellent and beautiful! And you should check out some sonatinas. Clementi wrote many, and Beethoven wrote two, in F Major and G Major. And if you work hard, you could even take the two sonatas opus 49 by Beethoven in a little while. Success with practice!
