They could have removed a lot by just having having stuff like 'increased damage over time' or 'increased damage to crowd controlled enemies' instead of what they got now. Having ex. trapped, stunned, slowed, frozen, dazed, knocked down, chilled, immobilized, crowd controlled just for things being CC'ed is crazy.
corporate likes higher engagement times, and making your useful loot harder to get (worse loot basically) increases that time you are playing the game.
@@LiiRAE.first thing I wanted to say it that shooting blow what you had was very hard but then I remembered it was blizzard we are talking about which makes it actually kinda impressive
I said this before s1. I think if you find a drop from the codex, you can salvage that item into the codex and it will incrementally increase the codex power. Like rc between 1-2 seconds, codex would be 1s. Then on your first upgrade it would go to 1.1 or 1.2s and so on. As it is now, I have to keep 2 or 3 items with the same power incase I get multiple upgrades or screw up or need to move powers around.
Same thing with Cyberbug 2077. They're trying to wash the dirt off of the shitpile Games like these are only good to pirate if such an option is available
I wish they let you replay the campaign in higher tiers. What I loved about Diablo 2 is that I could replay the campaign in Hell mode. It's super hard in the beginning and then gets super fun because you get awesome gear every stage you get through and then get unique rolls from beating campaign bosses. Imagine fighting uber Lilith at the end of your campaign, it'd be sweet.
I mean you're not wrong. Many AAA games has been like this for a while now, especially live service games like these. Remember back then when you buy a game that's in a CD form, and that's the game you have for a while until do they expansions? I don't even remember how they made updates before lol.
To me it's more like hearing people talk about a game I didn't play even though I finished it. Never cared enough about the post-story Diablo content to put any time into it. Grinding is boring, and there are other games to play.
Hell tides should have hell gates where massive waves of like 30 elite packs all march through every 2-3 minutes, and every 3rd wave has a mini boss. There should also be hell tide specific events that have crazy rewards at the end like a field of hellblossom or hell veins. There could also be like a "shade of mephisto", "reforming essense of baal", "soulstone diablo" world boss that spawns in the middle of each hell tide
I like this idea. Something like a horde mode event where endless waves of mobs keep spawning and you get a chest based on the number of waves you got thru when you died.
@@roboninja3194 for real. blizzard needs to add ah and rmah like in d3, baal runs like d2 and make it so you need to read a wiki to plan your build so the talent tree doesnt fuck you over like in poe
@@K3nsikoPoe isn't really player friendly for new players. They need to give a better explanation for the skill tree and maybe give more regret points at some point in the campaign to undo the mistakes a new player might have made on the tree
this take sounds like if you held a grudge against your 30 year old child for shitting their pants when they were 3. yeah the game was bad on launch but they are doing leaps in the right direction. this is how almost all games are these days. i paid the money for the game and i hoped it became better in the future. and guess what its better now.
Lost Ark would be an amazing game, if only it wasn't an mmo. Top tier gameplay, held back by time-locks, grinding, gatekeeping/toxicity and bots fking over the market
@@PlanADidntWorkOut Time locks, ridiuclus and unrealistic RNGS, p2w, bots and the fact that you couldn't do pvp with friends. Those things butchered the game... it could've been the diamond of ARPGS... the BEST ever. The combat was amazing, the classes, the world, the sea, the pvp, the raids.... All the HARD to make stuff were amazing.
the amount of cope in this game is insane, i remember asmongold still deffending diablo devs before the game was even released. 100 dollar game for a beta
People like the game and they want it to be good , it released in a horrible state and many people weren't gonna play till qol patches came out , and now the game inst as bad and people wanna play idk why just hate on the game forever just because ur mad
Game is better than most games these days. The bar blizzard set is the issue, not the game. If you actually compare it to similar games and consider how much was changed from season 1-2 it has a lot going for it.
Big W to Asmond on the PoE information thing. A game's depth is not reduced by having it's information available. You dont need to hand hold the player via tutorial though the whole thing, but have an archive to look information up. (hello Last Epoch) I never figured out what the impale status effect did in PoE. I had to look it up on the wiki. You could probably look at it if YOU got impaled, but i dont remember a normal enemy that could, often requiring map effects to give the chance to monster, and if you're standing still to read, you're probably going to die (in later maps). I dont remember either if E-shield is ever explained to not block chaos damage unless you find the tree node that says it will block it, and the increased vs more thing is such a critical aspect in that game to understand and that too is never explained which is crazy. I find it more frustrating to understand PoE than to play it, and that agonizing learning process prevents me from enjoying the game. I like learning, but when im 200 hours in and the first time I learn how something works through a friend as an off handed comment, leading me to raise my hands up and say "well fuck, wish I knew that a week ago" I get kinda annoyed.
I feel like itemization is still just get bigger number=better, and most rolls you can get are kind of irrelevant. Do away with those ugly damage when x rolls, and add stuff like 5% of x stat is applied to damage , or some of your attack goes to evasion, or rolls like that. Currently, it feels those things should ONLY be part of glyphs, or aspects, when they don't really change the way you play, they just reward different types of builds.
I think itemization is D4's biggest problem paired with endgame. I will use an example that I got from D2R season 5 recently, I got yellow leather gloves that gave 20% fire res and 24% lightning res that had a level requirement of 7. These gloves never got replaced until I found better gloves at level 60. These moments for gear/loot drops never happen in D4 because higher item power means better base stats which until you reach end game just means better gear. It's like comparing retail and classic wow. D2 itemization begins at level 1 whereas D4 it begins at endgame (but there is no endgame).
Agreed! In D2 it felt like you always had an opportunity to get a neat drop - even at low level you could find something valuable. You could spend hundreds of hours just grinding for loot and it could still feel exciting and that's what I loved about the game the most.
I've only finished D2LOD campaign when it came out, but I've dumped thousands of hours into D2R this time. I really like how that game's itemization works. I prefer D2R where multiple builds share the same pool of scarce all-rounder uniques and ultimately what brings power to a build is skill points allocation. D4 kind of can work like it too with aspects but it feels so forced, like it's a rather poor compromise between D3 where items make builds, and D2 where items enhance builds.
@@BeamMonsterZeus You wouldn't need to farm uniques for hundreds of hours if they kept the 1.07 mechanic of "if you have 500% MF, the bosses drop only uniques almost 100% of the time."
I went back to see if D2R was as good as I remembered or if it was just some fever dream and I still don't want to go back to D4. The ability synergy is unmatched and my character feels like it's never going to be what I want it to be no matter what class I play. Everyone talks about the limitless builds in D4 but I feel extremely limited in comparison to D2R.
I would add: the additive damage modifiers are super unintuitive - you cant weigh certain stat changes against each other easily. The attack power tooltip doesnt include paragon points, and usually is incorrect. Adding a puppet for testimg to the game means the calculations are distributed among actors and other unknown modifiers - but nevertheless one could simulate according to all effects up and then average against a standard enemy. Idk - 30% crit damage should be 30% more crit dmg - otherwise it shouldnt have a % at the end :). If you really want to know whether to spend 50m for a weapon upgrade you would have to transfer 50 stats to a calculator on an external website… remember there is no copy paste :).
Imo they should make skills work like in D3 where you get to choose how the skill works when leveling up instead of relying on legendary gear to actually change how skills interact completely. As a casual player it makes it more fun over time playing instead of knowing it will take weeks or months to get a piece of gear that will make my skill more fun. Leveling up will make it worth puting my points into somthing interesting instead of just more stats like chance to make enemies vulnerable
Tbh it's why I'm hoping the rumors of them removing Aspects as an item and instead putting them in the Codex when you get them comes true. It sucks having to carry around a bunch of crap that MIGHT be needed for my build down the line.
@@lashaxoperia5917 Terrible game until the end of Season 1. Season 2 D4 upgraded to just being bad. Hopefully we get to play the full release because obviously we are playing in early access. They are currently doing alpha and beta testing this year using 6 million-ish people.
@@lashaxoperia5917I don’t get it either, I love this game(even though it’s doesn’t replace d2 or d2r imo). People that don’t like have either never made it past wt2 or they played too much and got burnt out. I still think there are core problems like mobs leveling with you being a big one.
@@Warrior_Meta sure the game has a lot of things to be improved , but the game is good. There could be better item system and more things to do on level 100. Pretty sure after some time everything will become much better
i think more of the problem for end-game is its not worth getting "better" gear. The stat ranges are so close together, as long as you get the stats you want, your done
Mechanically the bosses seemed pretty good, they just have too little health and damage. Nothing you can do about exploit/op builds destroying a boss, but they should be some level of challenge for a regular build. I also wouldn't mind if there were harder versions of them at 100.
How so? I think people who say this just don't play the game, or have no idea of what an ARPG should be. This is coming from someone who is very critical of the game as well.
@@Petrical I don't have time for a full diatribe but the game lacks any sense of progression beyond the first time you get proper powers. The whole point of an ARPG due to its low drop rates is to kill more mobs in less time. That is how you skew a 0.01% chance in your favor, to roll the dice more often. This is so core to ARPGs since their inception and this is the biggest thing missing from D4. Having to use a low-damage basic attack to empower a core attack and wait for a 12-second cd is the antithesis of how every other ARPG that has been successful plays.
@@totallynottrademarked5279just pick sorc and use chain lightning, which has no CD. You can also use the aspect where every time it chains you get mana I’ve had infinite resource sine level 30 and only need my ult for bosses.
@@totallynottrademarked5279also the hemomancy seasonal power can literally one shot the whole screen when maxed and has really low cd and costs nothing to use.
My only problems currently with the horse is that for one, it gets stuck on every fucking corner and branch on every damn path. And the sprint cooldown seems to be balanced around the cooldown reduction from the seasonal bonus stuff, which feels bad cause you'd never really take it early since it competes with magic find. Just make it baseline to have turbo horse. Other things that bother me is timegated content in an ARPG. Blood stuff is fine as they're always up, but why ain't helltides always up? Most days I can't do them cause I only get sporadic gametime. Same with world bosses. Don't give them a spawntime and just make them require like 5 people to summon with materials from the now constant helltides, also make the helltide currency carry over.
It's fine that you can 1 shot them but not on day 2-3 after just hitting WT4. It should require some sort of min maxing to actually 1 tap an end game boss.
you should never be able to 1shot any enemy ever. it's just bad game design. arpg developers need to rethink how the genre should work and take a note from other global successful games like eldenring or dark souls
Yeah, the PoE video he showed of the guy one tapping the hardest boss is a bad example imo. The build and gear you need to do that is probably super expensive.
@@K3nsiko The difference in a game like Path of Exile is that generally you are sacrificing the ability to do ANYTHING else in the game just so you can 1 shot the boss. It's fun to be able to hyper-specialize in something and spend a lot of time building your character.
@@K3nsikoto be fair there’s hundreds if not thousands of videos online of people one-shotting bosses on all the souls games and especially elden ring, you just have to have a deep knowledge of the game and apply a crazy amount of buffs to something already broken. D4 is boring though I do agree it has tons of bad game design.
GGG actually DOES feel like the game being somewhat less accessible is a good thing. Preface: I don't want to say that this means the game should be less clear, tbh I agree with more clarity in many aspects. BUT, just on the principle of the game being more casual friendly or not, regardless of that specific point Asmon made, the lead guy is on record (if you watch the Josh Strife Hayes interview with him) and he effectively said that making casuals aware of how complex the game is by NOT hiding stuff like the skill tree allows them to keep the complexity of the game up because the people that are gonna play the game are gonna look for that experience since they didn't leave during hour 1.
Season 2 is a significant improvement. Levelling is fun, especially on Barb, and the changes to the horse were S tier. They still need to work on itemization, but Uber boss farming is a step in the right direction
Ever since this guy bought himself a level 70 boost in ffxiv and then called the game shit because he didn't understand anything I cannot take him and his takes on things seriously anymore
2 weeks after D4 came out and finished the campaign I deleted Battlenet from my PC and never looked back.. D4 will never get any better. The fun mechanics from Runewords and interesting itemizations of D2 is long gone. I'm pissed from buying D4 back then but I'm happy that i'll never touch a blizzard game ever again.
I’m two hours into last epoch and it’s what I was looking for out of Diablo. Imagine being able to press all of your spells, without slapping them with cold lettuce to build an arbitrary meter.
I dont know whose idea that was, but they should be removed from making any design decisions. One of the things that keeps me away from the game is the mechanics.
Last Epoch needs time though - it's a great game but it's still very much early access. It has all the heart, but lacks some polish in its current state.
@@azensura Agreed, but it's lacking A LOT of polish. The mechanics are there, and those are very cool. But ALL the art is very amateurish, that includes characters, armour, animation, spell effects, weapons etc etc. They have A LOT of bugs to squish and they only ever introduce more than last time.
The itemisation discussion is actually correct....we need more variances that actually make builds feel different. Make hammer of wrath do no g on initial hit, but do 3 huge quakes of 33% dmg of a regular hota...these kinds of things, your single target is delayed but the same dmg output with larhe delayed aoe, a minor negative for the benefit of aoe. Or twisting blades periodically ascend every 10 seconds and fall onto a single target for bonus dmg...just some spice xD something! Please!
I agree with your comment, the fun factor in gaming got thrown out the window like putin’s generals unfortunately. I always thought games were meant to be fun 😢
I agree with the builds, i entered D4 hoping to be able to just build my character the way i wanted, but at every turn i was limited by spesific dmg types and dmg this and dmg that. Eventually i just ended up building my build in the dmg type direction which was boring. Forcing voulerability builds didn't feel good when that felt like my only option as a druid. Over to the bosses, i think the bosses should feel like they did during the beta, where you could get to lvl 25. The boss you got to do then felt like a proper challenge, and it was really fun. People died left to right, and it was actually quite tough. Although i will say this, if it was a premade group, a clan of people who were good at the game, the boss would stil be a joke, but at that point during the beta it was so much fun. Back to the point of builds, itemization shouldn't be super unique to builds as Quin said, they should be open to alot of builds. Building is alot of the fun in these types of games, testing out all kinds of ways to play your character. Being strict is just plain boring, especially when your character is limited to a spesific amount of spells.
Sacred and ancestral shouldn’t be a thing. That’s why D2 itemization was so good. Leveling was fun and meant something bc you could get lucky and find an end game item for your build at early levels. I.E. The Stone of Jordan ring among many others.
No, having a WOW-brain system where gear "becomes better" at some arbitrary number/ilvl doesn't change anything when the game scales with it (I swear asmon has complained about the EXACT same thing about World of Warcraft!), that's the exact same issue Quinn just brought up about "all damage is the same". Finding different items need to fundamentally change something about how your characters functions within the game.
yes, i thought this was what diablo was (this is my first diablo)...i thought it would be like elden ring where you find really cool items, but i feel like every single item is exactly the same? you just do slightly more damage? i really must be missing something, because i dont see the fun in this. if you just like numbers going up, play cookie clicker
I did T100 nightmares and the loot is the same as you get on T60. You barely get mlre glyph xp, but you clear it slower, so it's not really fair. They need to guarantee 900+ items. Some items I dropped were sacred.
It's so crazy that a simple speed up of a mount is enough to warrant a "good job" to a super big gaming company like blizzard. Seems diablo fans lowered their standards so they don't get disappointed, "good job"
At the this point, if people are still supporting these publishers (and yes, playing the game is still supporting, they need good concurrent player numbers) I consider them hopeless shills. Like an abused woman whose afraid to leave a toxic relationship. At what point do you stop giving advice and just let them live their life in the parasitic relationship they've committed themselves to. Let them play their game, hope they enjoy it.
A mount speed up and a bugfix "We have this resistance thing that says it helps you resist these effects but it didn't do shit, now it does something" Truly innovative feature
itemization and endgame sucks, and what sucks even more in eyes is we dont have a GOD DAMN LOOTFILTER. You drop something like 50 items from this green helltide fight (blood harvest i guess). You literally spend half of your time looking at items. This thing alone made me leave season pretty early. Every other arpg got some kind of lootfilter - internally (LE and GD) or externally (POE). This thing tilts me so much.
Yes I 200% agree about the itemization. As those conditionals have to go. I agree with both what you said and Quin. In Diablo 3 when you went to the equivalent of the Occultist and you wanted to re-roll a Stat, it showed you the options and the possibilities that if you select it, what you could possibly get in your re-roll. So that way if you wanted an extra socket or extra Crit, you could plan it out. It was still random what you could get, but it will be a restricted list of options, now all of them like D4 does. You waste so so much Gold because of this in D4 compared to D3. Why can't at the Herbalist, can we not also upgrade a potion form Weak, to Strong, to Potent, to Heady? Sure you have to be the level that will unlock those potions tears, but you still should be able to upgrade it. The Treasure Goblins, why can't when are in a Helltide Environment not turn Red for example and not drop Aberrant Shards instead of gold. That would be an vast quality of life improvement if they did. Hell Diablo 3 if you got a Red Treasure Golbin it dropped Blood Shard? In Blood Tide if you kill the Treasure Globin, why not have it gold and Blood Potency?
It has "codex", it's called "Help" and all of the mechanics are explained. People are just not reading it and complain about something that is their fault. 🤣🤣🤣
The changes to crit and variable are good. Need to remove the excess affixes, improve crafting so you can stack your damage types your character needs for the build. I would like to see just flat affixes rolls at the different tiers, and on different rarity’s have higher flat increases to things to simplify but also make gear feel better. Change many legendary aspects and give every build option a few good ones and some that combine builds. And make common and magic gear what you will mostly find, and when a rare drops it’s better but not common, and then when a legendary drops it’s is a huge dopamine hit because they are not everywhere and due to legendary aspects they can really change things up. And only have uniques but are the op build changers.
The fact that ur sitting here complaining says you care about the game or. You just want people to validate your opinions lol , people like these franchises and they also grew up with them , of there is good patches that make the game better then people will play , idk why stay mad at Activision blizzard your whole life , everyone knows they released trash but now it's better and that's really it so people wanna play .
@@Dead1yProductions that's not even true. At the release the game was super well appreciated until people start complaining about the end game (with good reason). The campaign is dope but ofc these games are not enjoyed for that. The fact they encouraged racing to lv100 for a reward didn'T help especially because it amplified the problem via popular streamer racing for #1
@@Slayerqc end game content was a L for the most part is the same , just run nm dungs , then kill Uber I guess , the campaign was good , I like s2 so much better , after a few qol updates it truly is different. S1 was just so boring . At least now I can do them while running blood rituals getting tons of loot and exp .
I played it and I loved it, one of the best games I have played this year, losing only to BG3, I liked it even more than zelda. And I don't care about "late game" as people say, I just play the game and quit, and it was great. Late game is trash in every single ARPG, doing the same thing over and over again is boring in any game. It was trash in D2, in D3, in PoE and every ARPG that exists.
I like your idea of a fifth affix at IP 900... another option I've heard of that I like is that if at 900 you could re-roll a second affix. Either of those options would be great, both would be amazing.
Another Tier of gear? For what? There is no Boss you need this gear for and if there would be a Tier 5 for the hardcores, the casuals would cry that others get better items. Never... Ever... Thats the World now.
How about this for the aspect system. As you get the same power over and over, it just upgrades the codex bit by bit, AND you can get more aspects to overcap the max bit by bit so it’s still exciting to get a legendary late game
Duriel is a hassle. There’s literally no way to generate faster resources from the tree of whispers (takes 4 for varshan) it’s ridiculous to only get 1 egg 1 shard per run. Or when you kill varhsan and grigore you should get 2 shards and 2 eggs per run to make it feel more rewarding and get a better run ability and flow.
the BAD on diablo 4 is that stupid paragon / talent board system. it breaks everything else meaning its no fun. diablo series has traditionally be about finding the LOOT, no thats not the case any more, no amount of loot finding will alter as the talent board system over rides it all. can beat d4 with any gear, just set up the talent board system, so loot is pretty much just a side effect. which is total opposite of D2/D3 which is - loot hunting games. in d2 had to find good runes and legendary to make good builds, now gear its irrelevant to the talent board system. grind levels for the talent board and even gray gear can beat final boss on hardest mode.
definitely not, still lacking with a bunch of things, but season 2 is a small step to the right direction. just need to hope blizzard keeps this up, well, i’ll keep my expectations very low because of these devs 💀
One thing that wasn’t mentioned that I think is going overlooked is them making rerolling cost more time. So they said we’ve reduced the “cost” and they did by gold standards BUT made it cost double materials. Not only that, they made getting those forgotten souls horrendous. We used to get them by salvaging, now we essentially don’t. We used to get 70-80 in the Helltide, now I can farm 4 chests in a perfect scenario and maybe leave with 40-50.
16:46 asmo speaks from my soul if a player has to close the game and watch a yt video to understand what to do the game failed, if its not a puzzle game. Every other game has to offer you ingame an info point at least where you can look up all information you need to play
Honestly, we are in a fast food kinda of world, the old ever quest wasn't a lot more complicated than d4, but back then information was limited, so people are forced to learn. Now people just watch TH-cam, should every game just be like an angry bird? But even angry bird has guides... I don't think your comment is fair.
@@whoops1122lol you have a point. We are at a point in gaming where if people can’t beat something or find a way to overcome it, they just go online and find what’s meta, or just look up a guide on how where to go.
I know there's people that don't like it but D4 is clearly an mmo lite type game and Obviously there's no plans for that changing so blizzard needs to put features we'd expect in a game like this.
I have never played an MMO in which i can solo every single content in the game. Meanwhile i can do that in D4. D4 has other major problems, the main ones being loot shower and itemization which in turn makes the little content it has supereasy. This is not gonna change ever. They are going to add something like greater rifts for s3 leaderboards and call it a day. Meanwhile the base game content and loot explotions will remain easy enough so simpletons can have fun.
i agree with most of what quin says except for boss difficulty, bro is a mega gamer who plays stuff like this for a job and knows all the intricacies of arpgs of course the game is going to be easy for him. i couldnt kill lilith in pre season or season 1 super annoying. i dont want to think while playing diablo 4 i wanna press a button and destroy everything with corpse explosion
I would really just like to see Armor Sets come back. You won't always find exciting gear unless they bring back Sets but also something like rifts where you have this unlimited power scaling to test the limits and boundaries of your builds. Don't make rift the main form of endgame... but more like a power test for leaderboards and all that. Still make the best ways to farm gear and level in other areas of the game
Instead of doing +5 to str or whatever in the paragon board, they should make it when you choose a board like an ice it gives you bonuses to your ice spells. Like blizzard aoe is bigger, or duration.
I think the game is way, way better now, and i am actually pretty confident that it will become a pretty damn decent ARPG in a season or two. They definately fired lots of people who worked on pre/season 1.
Crafting: Normal Item (925 Item Power) + Iron Chunk + Gold = Magic Item + Additional Armor Affix + 920 Item Power Magic Item with 1 Affix (920 Item Power) + Gallowvine + Gold = Magic Item with 1 Affix + Additional Healing Received + 915 Item Power Magic Item with 2 Affix (915 Item Power) + Lifesbane + Gold = Rare Item with 2 Previous affixes + Maximum Health + 900 Item Power This goes on until Max Affixes is reached. This will solve the following problems: - Normal and Magic Items will be useful. Any drops are viable now. - You can bring back the old features you have with item rarity - Magic have higher affixes but only 2 on drop, Rares can have 5 affixes (Craftable or dropped), Legendary have 4 affixes and an Aspect. Hopefully, Normal Item drops higher base stat roll like base DPS, Lucky Hit for Wands, OverPower Damage for Two-Handed Mace, etc. Crafting will come with a cost since lower rarity can have huge default rolls but every affix crafted lowers Item Power so you can't have 925 Item Power that's purely crafted. - The immersion they want will improve, people will start picking up materials again in the open world when doing open world stuffs. A small part of it is still a part of it. - Remove the' "Big Number, Good" mindset and have people actually start caring about their equipment and not the green arrow indicator. The green arrow is for casual, you already have that. Actual good affixes are for actual players, you don't have that, yet. - People would stay in game more to perfect their items and actually enjoy it rather than aimlessly kill mobs hoping to find a good gear. NMD: You can bring back the initial concept of NMD back then where it's actually ENDLESS until you leave the dungeon because you can no longer handle the difficulty. Every floor has no loading screens as it was shown from their quarterly updates (just a stairs going down, etc.) and Difficulty just keeps on going every floor you make on that dungeon. So you start at Tier 1 NMD and you might end up until Tier 8 NMD before you leave it and probably upgrade Glyphs every 2 floors/ every boss. So now: - No Multiple Loading Screens - Consumable Inventory can have more space since you only need 1 NMD key to actually reach a certain Tier. Make it hard to get NMD Key since it's already craftable. - People can take breaks in NMD and do other content like Helltides since NMD Glyph leveling is faster in a sense of loading screens and additional NMD Key crafting. Aspects: Aspects hinders item progression and really think that this belongs to the skill tree because it modifies 'Skills' and not an overall feel of the game which the item actually do for you. Aspect should be the one making you feel better overall in game and not jus to a particular skills. After lvl 50, you can still have skill points per level, aside from the 4 paragon points per level. Legendary Aspects for a particular skills is connected to that skill (ex. Barbarian's Kick > Enhanced Kick > Mighty Kick > Brawler's Aspect requires 3 Skill Points per Rank) and you can either add points to it at early levels and scale with level like the number range you should have in item rolls. - Items would be not limited due to legendary aspect limitation that enhances your skills - Skill tree would be more interesting. Then the legendary aspect you want to add to items are the utility ones or stuffs that can be used in general so regardless of aspects you have in an item, it doesn't feel bad to replace it with a better item. Aspects can be like the old ones: - Invulnerability Bubble, Armor per damage taken, Resource Generation Per CC Application or seasonal power ones where you balance its powers and add it to then next season: - Additional Projectile per 40 additional resources used to cast a spell, - Increase DoT per CC applied, more to unstoppable enemies - Overpower drops Volatile Blood or New Ones where it's useable in general - Additional Area of Effect - Projectile +1 Ricochets per additional 30 Resource Cost per Cast - Increase Knockback Range to Skills Open World: - Cellars are no longer significant. This could be used as a potential farming ground where seasonal content can be farmed if you decide to add seasonal content to eternal realm. Malignant hearts can be semi-boss that drops Malignant Aspect that can be encountered on a random cellar or a Blood Seekers showdown (like a 3v1 fight) within the cellar that rewards Vampiric Aspect. Of course, make it visible so that we know if a cellar has a seasonal content like a Malignant Tumor, or Blood Fountain or Trails outside the cellar. - Stronghold Resets could be nice because it's one of the best thing people loved in the game and you can only do it once. If the area was under Helltide or the Vampiric Event, demons will take over the stronghold and will get a full reset with updated monster/boss under it. Like a full hero siege mode if you will or stronghold defense like the old warcraft 3 map mods. This will create urgency among players all over the map and most likely keep the open world interesting as there's so much to do. Paragon Boards: Paragon Board is kind of lacking since paragon boards are build specific and you have to make use of other build defining board that doesn't really work on your current build. Like arc lash builds you see from other builds that uses burning paragon boards since there's not enough lightning paragon board to use. 1 Enchantment slot is wasted since they have to use the Firebolt Enchantment for the build to be viable. You can add paragon board for general use like 'Melee Board', 'Critical Strike Board', 'Projectile Board', 'Resistance Board', Board for different damage type (Lightning, Cold, Fire, Poison, Physical, Shadow), 'Attributes Board' for Glyph that scales with attributes and so on that is available to all classes. Of course class specific boards are each to their own but having back up boards that actually helps you build is really interesting.
Tbh all Blizzard has to do to make me happy is the following: -Fix Itemization -Overhaul Aspects so they go in the Codex instead of clogging up stash space -Some form of social hub. It's bizarre how this is meant to be a MMO but there's fuck-all for social interactions. -Make Ultimates their own separate keybind (I play on controller so I dunno just bind it to clicking in both sticks) with a strict 2 minute cooldown to free up hotbar space. Also roll all the extra effects into the skill already so that frees up more skill points. -Party Finder/Matchmaking -Raids that require max level to participate in. You level so fast now that getting to 100 to join in wouldn't be a problem, and since you know all the players will be 100 you can go nuts and make enemy levels even higher to truly challenge players (maybe 150?) Oh and maybe add in Helltide Whispers that give Favor as well as Cinders. I like Blood Harvests having their own Whispers so maybe do the same for Helltides.
I’m just a casual but I love the game, I guess that’s probably the difference. I played Diablo 3 (still play it) and loved it so I was excited for something different and once I got a class build that worked for me I really enjoyed diablo 4 from the start.
Yeah it's you people that keep feeding Activision with money when they make shit and then still goes : hey it's okay 😂😂 sad , sad you don't know what a good game is, properly your generation 😅
@@jarlfisk first off I didn’t buy the game, I game share with a friend. So I’ve never spent a dime on this game lol. Secondly, gate keeping video games is so unbelievably cringe my dude. Let people enjoy what they want.
No. It has never been good and will never be good because bad games never become good games unless they're completely changed and this game hasn't been reworked at all. For starters they would have to call it Diablo III since we haven't had that game yet. Secondly it would actually have to be a Diablo game, not some "Diablo" 3 derivative
One big problem is damage stats on a weapon don't effect the weapons base damage. Looking at PoE or even Diablo 2, increased or added damage on weapons increase the weapons damage which is then multiplied with other damage increases. They need to do the same thing with armors.
Last season i had 2 days fun. This season 3 days...i guess when season 30 is out we are able to enjoy this game a bit longer (d3 got enjoyable only with like season 25 so im not wondering if this really will be the case lol)

you clearly have no idea what you talking about, d3 got interesting seasons with seasonal themes and buffs around season 16, it was still enjoyable earlier that that
not sure if Asmon actually reads the comments, but Blizzard did say that they have plans for a Raid / "deep dungeon" esk things. so Raid being a siege on an area and killing some big bosses. as well as doing dungeons that have multiple bosses in them. I also vaguely recall them wanting to do one where you just keep going until you die or want to port out.
I've just come to find out AARPG's just simply aren't for me. The whole seasonal system thing ruins it for me. I want an eternal char that I can push leaderboards with with group finder. If those changes are ever put into place, I'll play it.
I really think people nowadays are addicted to hating stuff. Once they decided they don't like something, they never change their mind,no matter what... It's such a sad existence.
Or people have actual standards while the sheep are accustomed to being rear jammed. How else do you think Blizzard, EA, and other companies are still making money/
It wasn't. People are raging not on the game I feel, is how Blizzard as usual gaslight the audience, especially a big gaming company. Look at Overwatch, WoW.
I feel itemization should be like this. Get rid of healthy and injured like stated. The split all the others in 4 different buckets. ((Base Damage+ Vulnerable) * Distance * All CC effects * Alignments * Crit). This would make it if I'm playing Barbarian I would look to ensure I make enemies bleed and stun them. If slowing gave some higher damage modifiers I would go out of my way to change my build to slow.--- On the character sheet theses should be split and show us sub totals, and how they multiply together for easy viewing.
The item power tiers changed in Season 2, they are now: 1, 150, 340, 490, 625, and 780. So anything 780 and up will be the best end game gear with the highest possible rolls.
D4 is actually so much better this season, looking very much forward to season 3 with leaderboards and even more new endgame content. This game needs time to build upon itself they are showing great progress. Just like D3 and POE at launch they both were lackluster and over the years they became good.
1. Remove aspects and add them to tree 2. Remove resource spenders and generators 3. Add resource pots or new resource affixes on items 4. Add basic skills to core skills 5. Remove bullshit damage affixes from items
It's better than it was which isn't saying much it's fun if you work a 9-5 and aren't a streamer that stream 12 hours a day then yeah it won't be that fun but I mainly play baldurs gate 3 and Diablo 4 occasionally
I get quinns point about stats, the firewall sorc build on maxroll has zero rolls of "Damage to Burning enemies" on it's recommended gear, so what exactly is the point of that stat?
More modifiers like Lucky hit chance or Overpower proc Chance. Definitely more caches like Tree of Whispers would be better or from Side quests. Even for Paragon nodes could be better passives like +1 to abilities. Single player gets boring after awhile so group efforts or extra buffs after a Nightmare. If they did make it more difficult Utility classes like Necros with Priest casting absorbs, heals or Thorns buffs and Crusaders with Auras. Perhaps even more opportunities to obtain Potions. In dungeons could have a Mist for better directions and even at end Lucky Loot chance for double Uniques like 5-10% at least.
I think one solution for poor itemization would be the removal of: Damage to healthy/injured, damage to close/distant, lucky hit chance (rng on top of rng, not a good mechanic, remove it altogether), all those +5 mana +3 spirit +2 fury affixes (or adjust their values to like +30 + 20), reduced CC duration on you (and reduce the stun/frozen etc to be like 0,5s baseline) and maybe some more). Add affixes like: Every 4th cast of Tornado summons a greater Tornado, that circles around you. Every 5th cast of HotA releases a shockwawe in a direction youre facing. Every 5th cast of Blizzard summons a frost hydra for 3 seconds... I just made these up, but you get my point hopefully...

D4 is a 3/10. If they opened trading and fixed the stash it could be a 6/10.

Slightly longer answer: it's much better than it was but it's still lacking in itemization.
@@LiiRAE.first thing I wanted to say it that shooting blow what you had was very hard but then I remembered it was blizzard we are talking about which makes it actually kinda impressive
Haha yaaaa
I said this before s1. I think if you find a drop from the codex, you can salvage that item into the codex and it will incrementally increase the codex power. Like rc between 1-2 seconds, codex would be 1s. Then on your first upgrade it would go to 1.1 or 1.2s and so on. As it is now, I have to keep 2 or 3 items with the same power incase I get multiple upgrades or screw up or need to move powers around.
I remember Diablo 3 I was an exploding chicken with zombie dogs chasing me. I don't give a damn about damage that shit was fun

I wish they let you replay the campaign in higher tiers. What I loved about Diablo 2 is that I could replay the campaign in Hell mode. Imagine fighting uber Lilith at the end of your campaign, it'd be sweet.

No joke. Quinn’s idea around storing aspects onto item slots is kinda cool.
Like you don’t brick items that way and can easily swap aspects as needed.
but then legendaries items are nothing but yellows...
They should make Legendaries have an extra roll, to actually get the feeling a legendary is useful besides the removal of its power.
yhea, imprints should be a way to get your build going, not mandatory to perfect the build.
I especially like killing baal over and over again, it's much more enjoyable than d4 endgame. they should've just made baal runs again in d4
@@BeamMonsterZeus
You wouldn't need to farm uniques for hundreds of hours if they kept the 1.07 mechanic of "if you have 500% MF, the bosses drop only uniques almost 100% of the time."
@@BeamMonsterZeus D2R has all the previously released runewords, ladder ones included. Plus they added a ton more for D2R seasons too.
@@XenoSpyro MF is literally the best stat in any game ever. sure I lose other very important stats on my gear but the quality of loot improves
There’s plenty to do for folks that don’t have 12+ hours a day to play.

No. The game is fundamentally broken as an ARPG and does not deliver on the MMO-lite features they put into the game.

What did they do with Barb? Stopped playing mid season 1

Im curious about Last epoch too and will probably get it at release. But D4 was also fun during beta and thru the campaign.
@@thisGuy481 I came to the same conclusion. I wanted to love it but like you said there's no polish. Zero. It's not fun either because of that.
Please!
Im going to just say it. The game went from me forcing myself to play to thinking about playing it.
I agree with your comment, the fun factor in gaming got thrown out the window like putin’s generals unfortunately. I always thought games were meant to be fun 😢
17:50 They already have that... In the Help Pannel on Path of Exile... It just requires the person to read.
Being strict is just plain boring, especially when your character is limited to a spesific amount of spells.
we do need Tier 5, bosses are a joke in T4 already.
Finding different items need to fundamentally change something about how your characters functions within the game.
yes, i thought this was what diablo was (this is my first diablo)...i thought it would be like elden ring where you find really cool items, but i feel like every single item is exactly the same? you just do slightly more damage? i really must be missing something, because i dont see the fun in this. if you just like numbers going up, play cookie clicker
the coolest item i found was some aspect that made my necro mages have a blizzard lol, woopdie dooo
I miss Tal Rasha's meteor set from D3...

Truly innovative feature
itemization and endgame sucks, and what sucks even more in eyes is we dont have a GOD DAMN LOOTFILTER. You drop something like 50 items from this green helltide fight (blood harvest i guess). You literally spend half of your time looking at items. This thing alone made me leave season pretty early. Every other arpg got some kind of lootfilter - internally (LE and GD) or externally (POE). This thing tilts me so much.
They need to add a list of modifiers that are op and that only appear on 875 or 900+ gear.
- The codex idea IS A MUST - GGG really does need to explain and make clear game details to players....
It has "codex", it's called "Help" and all of the mechanics are explained. People are just not reading it and complain about something that is their fault. 🤣🤣🤣
Useless and completely ignorable. The explanation needs to be a lived in gaming experience.@@peterruskov
The fact that people are even giving this game a chance is a big L in the gaming community the same with COD MW 3

Personally I like Diablo 4 I thought the game was pretty awesome especially the campaign
The campaign was an awfully boring slog with a ton of fetch quests. Play season 2 for more than 20 hours and you’ll have nothing to do.
I can't believe a patch note for season 2 in a ARPG is "our resistances are now functional"
Pretty sure Quin has been wearing this shirt for about a week, great minds think alike.
How about this for the aspect system. As you get the same power over and over, it just upgrades the codex bit by bit, AND you can get more aspects to overcap the max bit by bit so it’s still exciting to get a legendary late game
Why Quin looks like Shawn Michaels

Thanks, now I got his theme on loop rent free again 🤣
Duriel is a hassle. There’s literally no way to generate faster resources from the tree of whispers (takes 4 for varshan) it’s ridiculous to only get 1 egg 1 shard per run. Or when you kill varhsan and grigore you should get 2 shards and 2 eggs per run to make it feel more rewarding and get a better run ability and flow.
Is it a good idea to listen to Mr. "WHERE DA EELS?!"
the BAD on diablo 4 is that stupid paragon / talent board system. it breaks everything else meaning its no fun.
diablo series has traditionally be about finding the LOOT, no thats not the case any more, no amount of loot finding will alter as the talent board system over rides it all.
can beat d4 with any gear, just set up the talent board system, so loot is pretty much just a side effect. which is total opposite of D2/D3 which is - loot hunting games. in d2 had to find good runes and legendary to make good builds, now gear its irrelevant to the talent board system. grind levels for the talent board and even gray gear can beat final boss on hardest mode.
definitely not, still lacking with a bunch of things, but season 2 is a small step to the right direction. just need to hope blizzard keeps this up, well, i’ll keep my expectations very low because of these devs 💀
See, all they have to do is these minor improvements every season so people keep a sliver of hope to make them play longer
Yes. Foundation needs to be fixed. The rest is mostly surface level.
@@solomani5959 yeah, i agree. the biggest improvement in season 2 is that i am not playing it.
I had to follow a build guide and do some research on how stats work before I even came close to killing lillith.
@@whoops1122 I agree. People look up guides on TH-cam even when not needed. Not because they have to, because the resource is there.

"the game is for casuals"
so...99% of gamers.
also...I bet a lot of gamers who think they arent casual are in fact casual
I know there's people that don't like it but D4 is clearly an mmo lite type game and Obviously there's no plans for that changing so blizzard needs to put features we'd expect in a game like this.
I'd make the arguement it's not a mmo sense it doesn't have group finder or allow talking/discourse. It's more of a solo dungeon crawler game
Not being able to farm items for ur alts is the biggest flaw in itemization for me
D4 still bad Baseg
Instead of doing +5 to str or whatever in the paragon board, they should make it when you choose a board like an ice it gives you bonuses to your ice spells. Like blizzard aoe is bigger, or duration.
That's a good idea. That would be badass
I think the game is way, way better now, and i am actually pretty confident that it will become a pretty damn decent ARPG in a season or two. They definately fired lots of people who worked on pre/season 1.
they all have to make a 20 min video.. how bout : "is diablo 4 good now?" answer : "NO!" just a fking yes or no
Oh yay. now quin can react to this!!! Bravo guys !!!!

Crafting:
Normal Item (925 Item Power) + Iron Chunk + Gold = Magic Item + Additional Armor Affix + 920 Item Power
Magic Item with 1 Affix (920 Item Power) + Gallowvine + Gold = Magic Item with 1 Affix + Additional Healing Received + 915 Item Power
Magic Item with 2 Affix (915 Item Power) + Lifesbane + Gold = Rare Item with 2 Previous affixes + Maximum Health + 900 Item Power
This goes on until Max Affixes is reached.
This will solve the following problems:
- Normal and Magic Items will be useful.
NMD:
You can bring back the initial concept of NMD back then where it's actually ENDLESS until you leave the dungeon because you can no longer handle the difficulty. So now:
- No Multiple Loading Screens
- Consumable Inventory can have more space since you only need 1 NMD key to actually reach a certain Tier. Make it hard to get NMD Key since it's already craftable.
- People can take breaks in NMD and do other content like Helltides since NMD Glyph leveling is faster in a sense of loading screens and additional NMD Key crafting.
Aspects:
Aspects hinders item progression and really think that this belongs to the skill tree because it modifies 'Skills' and not an overall feel of the game which the item actually do for you.
- Items would be not limited due to legendary aspect limitation that enhances your skills
- Skill tree would be more interesting.
Then the legendary aspect you want to add to items are the utility ones or stuffs that can be used in general so regardless of aspects you have in an item, it doesn't feel bad to replace it with a better item. Aspects can be like the old ones:
- Invulnerability Bubble, Armor per damage taken, Resource Generation Per CC Application
or seasonal power ones where you balance its powers and add it to then next season:
- Additional Projectile per 40 additional resources used to cast a spell,
- Increase DoT per CC applied, more to unstoppable enemies
- Overpower drops Volatile Blood
or New Ones where it's useable in general
- Additional Area of Effect
- Projectile +1 Ricochets per additional 30 Resource Cost per Cast
- Increase Knockback Range to Skills
Open World:
- Cellars are no longer significant.
Paragon Boards:
Paragon Board is kind of lacking since paragon boards are build specific and you have to make use of other build defining board that doesn't really work on your current build.
I wish there are raid bosses with story lines lol
You're asking a lot from Blizzard 2023
@@rundown132 lol .... Its not since they can do it on DI .... Not to say making it immediately but i hope they have long term plans for tht
Tbh all Blizzard has to do to make me happy is the following:
-Fix Itemization
-Overhaul Aspects so they go in the Codex instead of clogging up stash space
-Some form of social hub.
-Party Finder/Matchmaking
-Raids that require max level to participate in. You level so fast now that getting to 100 to join in wouldn't be a problem, and since you know all the players will be 100 you can go nuts and make enemy levels even higher to truly challenge players (maybe 150?)
Oh and maybe add in Helltide Whispers that give Favor as well as Cinders.

To be fair Diablo 4 is a good game. After putting 100+ hours into it, it’s hard to say it’s bad. 🤷🏻♂️

Diablo 4 is overhated.
fr it's a 7.5/10 for me, the only real problem is the itemization. Unfortunately it's a big part of what makes an arpg good
It wasn't. People are raging not on the game I feel, is how Blizzard as usual gaslight the audience, especially a big gaming company. Look at Overwatch, WoW.
Not hated enough
Way overhated actually really enjoying it
@@samuelcaron2256 7.5 is a pretty good number. I can give this game a 6 and still can enjoy it pretty much
I feel itemization should be like this.
1. Remove aspects and add them to tree
2. Remove resource spenders and generators
3. Add resource pots or new resource affixes on items
4. Add basic skills to core skills
PoE 2 will be a perfect game at realease. They will add all the stuff in the game that D4 is lacking.
