The first two are indeed about Max Payne. The late goodbye refrence, the wife and kid dying, etc.... but the fact that they killed him.....the death had better be fitting in Max Payne 3 is all I have to say.
If this is truly how Max Payne will die, isn't it funny that the first thing he said upon arriving at his house that fateful day was also the last thing that came to his mind. Honey, I'm home.
Whoa - had no idea this was Max Payne - thought it was just some alternate character with the same voice actor. Damn shame I'll miss him - without Sam Lake's writing it will never be the same.
Lets hope there is Max Payne 4 and Remedy makes it... It would be nice to have the ending the first 2 manuscript pages spoke of. And id rather want Remedy to make the last Max Payne game and bid the fans farewell than rockstar to be honest.
Basit Manzoor Yes I thought it sounded inconsistent. Then I thought, I wonder if anyone else knows that this is the same actor who did the max payne voice. Apparently you beat me to it.
@Parpzors Well it is and it isn't. The Max Payne that is dead is Remedy's alternate reality Max (Alex Casey). If you pay attention to the "Night Springs" episode about quantum suicide, you'll see that in one reality Max is dead (Alan Wake quasi-reality), but in another Max is very much alive.
interesting, but put me sound to sleep. not the best way to include a central plot line into a game. its not even the fact that it's spoken word. its that it's shitty reading. pity. Loved everything else about the game. just needed a better voice actor and better writing for alan
As much as I enjoyed Max Payne 3, "The Sudden Stop" sounded so fitting for finishing MP's story. Sad, depressing, yet liberating for Max himself.

Totally agree.
Not having Lake on board for the writing of 3 really hurt it, I felt. Houser is a good writer, but he can't do Noir.
In my eyes, the Sudden Stop is Remedy ending the Max Payne series. Giving it a proper ending.
The sudden stop tells a better Max Payne story in one minute than Rockstar could do with a whole game.
RIP James McCaffrey. There will never be a voice like his...
If that's how Max Payne goes out, I wouldn't mind. Fitting end to such a somber story. And I much prefer Remedy getting the final word than Rockstar.

@Sfmichell That makes a lot of sense, but... digital camera maybe?
Oh no.. noo.. Michelle! ... Rosee !! Max ??? NooooooOOOOOOOoooo !
You guys realize this is supposed to be about alans book called the sudden stop Max payne is just a cameo.
Who’s here after the passing of James McCaffrey! :,(

Well, it's possible, now, in the form of an Alex Casey game.
If the Sudden Stop was a real book, I would read the shit out of it.

Isn't the sudden stop 1&2 literally taken from Max Payne? I swear I remember the "private snuff movie" and painkillers melting in the snow...
Sudden Stop !!!
MAX FUCKING PAYNE!!
The sudden stop is Max Payne voice?
Max Payne :D
he can't :(
How can someone be afraid of the dark when they're a photographer? Have these guys not heard of "dark rooms"?
