or you could say..... LITTLE nightmares!@@You_go2000 and or the whole theory of her traveling to the "nowhere" and getting closer to being trapped by the ferryman.... but still "LITTLE" nightmares!!!
Hello, I'm from the future when the series is long complete. I just came here to say that kid better have a huge spot in her heart for the Little Nightmares games because if You_go is right about the nightmares, your sister is gonna vanish into the Nowhere.
I'm kind of wondering if the young child with the goop on his hair was the Runaway Kid, because it was said that the woman put a chain from her dress onto him so he could be dragged away, and the Runaway Kid (in the DLC) has a chain around his ankle.
THEORY TIME: Okay, maybe I'm not the only one but I imagined Auto as the Thin Man and Noon as Six the whole time. Noon and Six both woke up in a strange place, sound almost exactly alike (grunt wise), and also befriend beings that guide her. “Noon” and “six” on a clock face are also adjacent to one another (peculiar since they describe scaling a clock tower). Perhaps this “CiCi” Auto speaks of is actually Six and this new girl is someone else entirely? Auto however is very mysterious just like Thin Man yet both have a solid fascination for “traversing through space-time” (one actually performing it and the other having a physical illusion painting). To further cement the theory, Auto names his patients after numbers according to his video log, although Noon isn't the 12th patient, Noon and Six are both number names - coincidence??? The place Noon describes also sounds very similar to the Maw and that's vital, although the Maw is a place, it has pronounced features that characterize it more like a creature. The many “interconnected rooms” “unnoticed workers” “gears” and “noises” are more than enough to connect the two. The “rotten meat smell” was a dead giveaway to me also! She then describes children like figures that scurry about which reminded me of Nomes especially ones that operated the furnace in the DLC. The woman in charge with the dress is undoubtedly a reference to The Lady, especially with her “skin tied back” “black eyes/smile” and the humming which started during her part…. So far this is an amazing start to the audio series and has completely invested me back into the LN world and lore. So pumped for LN3!!!
@@papasteve22i think Noone's number was 1220 (12 being adjacent to 6) The instrument that can find positions in *time* and *space* is oddly specific, reminds me of The Thin Man. I agree. I think Otto is the Thin Man and the girl he is trying to find CeCe, is Six
So…this implies, from what I’ve gotten…that little nightmares is, in fact, a series of dreams from children in a psychiatric hospital or something like that? Edit: Right, I understand I was wrong. If you see something from two months ago you shouldn’t feel entitled to reply just to say “you’re wrong.”
If that's really the plot, they've screwed up a promising franchise! It would be a thousand times better to think that the events of LN are real than to be the literal nightmares of a mentally disturbed child!
Haven't listened to the video yet but if this really is the case I'm genuinely going to be upset with whoever was in charge of this. I love that Little Nightmares feels like a dream, but confirming it to be one just feels terrible
NO SAME!! i was talking to my mum about it and told her it was a similar concept to the magnum archives lmao, it also reminded us both of the bright sessions if youve ever listened to that
The acting, sound effects, and music are perfect! I'll await more! Edit: interesting, so are farryman Appears, and he knows noon is here! He may be more important than we originally thought. And those glass jars he was next to, maybe a hint for the LN3, eh? BUT the big thing is that the world of the LN is separate from their (or our) world, and somehow, noon (who doesn't seem to be a child, ether being a tween or young teen) got there. What does this say of mono and six? And the other children? Maybe nothing, maybe everything. The nun (thier might be others like her) is what I'll call this master of the stone giant (a gaint clock prison), a torturer, maybe? Discipline officer? (all correct) And those shadows workers might be bigger versions of the shadow children, fearful of the light..... maybe for other reasons.
@@williamking331To your credit, you didn't misspell anything, at least to my knowledge. Its your grammar what is the issue. Although I do like your theory, it is a bit hard to understand. All I can say is, do and want to be better and you'll definitely improve.
In the start of the vid, Auto did ask if she woke up from the dream perspiring or not and she didn't understand what he meant until he changed the word to sweating. So she is most likely to be a kid.
As much as I love the games, it's stuff like this that makes this series my absolute favorite. The games are just a part of the experience while the story is told through many different mediums all while keeping a layer of mystery for us to make our own conclusions which adds to the nature of interpreting dreams and nightmares. It rules.
THIS. IS. INCREDIBLE. I was listening to it In the middle of the night, lying in bed, and, God, I felt every tense moment. I literally shivered with fear when such moments came. And it was a huge relief when she said, "And then I woke up." I'm sure that's exactly what the creators wanted, and they definitely succeeded. I applaud!
I may regret this comment later but it was nice to see an adult be good to a kid. The counselor SEEMS like the first adult in this series who isn't trying to hurt the kids.
I think it's so cool that the “chapters” they put in the video are similar to how the game levels are named. They are very simple. “The Guests” or “The Teacher” are used to refer to villains. Names like “Mono” “Six” and “Noon” are usually protagonists.
Ppl be sayin they screwed up making the ln universe a set of connected dreams from childrens minds. But i think this is a smart move from bandai namco. It makes us realise that not only is all of the ln parts from: very little nightmares, little nightmares 1, little nightmares 2 and little nightmares 3; including maybe the comics, are connected in a universe away from ours that can only be connected by mentally ill kids. It could take any turn from this point and it doesnt lewve the comminity in a hopless and crazing scramble for an answer
I hope they go down the route of it being ‘a real world that kids can access through their dreams’ rather than the story just being us witnessing kids dreams. But I for prefer characters like six and mono to have their lives purely in the LN world instead of in “our” world as well. I’m interested in how they go about it
I wonder if these kids get transported to another world, the Little Nightmares world, when they go to sleep. Thats why whenever we die in game, the character gets surprised and can die multiple times, just like a dream. This may be why the adults all look disfigured and are out to get the kids. Its not the "real" world.
even though it was expected, i'm glad to see a confirmation of tobias returning to do the music again. he did a fantastic job for the first 2 games and im super excited to see what he's made for 3!
Heres my theory on what's happening here. *First off, important information:* The Little Girl's name = Noon (Kinda sounds like Nine.) The Counsellor's name = Otto/Auto. (Otto sounds like "Octo" which is greek for eight.) I believe these are new characters being introduced, and not the old ones we've met, i could be wrong, through. The Workers = Nomes? The Lady = No Idea. CiCi = No idea, but otto seems to know them and talk of them as if they were related. *The Story:* From what i've understood, this story in specific is about how Noon is capable of accessing another reality whilst she sleeps, this isn't exactly the act of dreaming, but moreover the act of transporting one's self to this alternative reality, "Nowhere." (?) is what this place is called. Noon's description of her nightmare reminds me heavily of The Maw in the first game, Noon might've been transported there. what about noon's friend, that decided to help her? I have no idea. Through they did seem to be more aware of what was going on around them than noon. Most likely another kid with the special ability that Otto calls "Mutual Dreaming" Mutual dreaming seems to be something Otto and his collegues are trying to understand. Otto states as an indication of that ability being present: *"Your perception of temperature, and smell while dreaming is sometimes thought to be an indicator of this trans-personal phenomenon."* i believe the Counties Psychiatric Institute might have one of it's goals being to try and understand what is the source of this alternate reality, how do you access it, how do you leave it, what cause it? I wonder if the map Otto has in his office will be of any importance to this. Noon by the end states they don't want to sleep, and Otto allows her to pick a Candy of choice, most likely to put Noon to sleep (Since it was stated by otto that it's night time.) *Conclusion:* What i find to be the most interesting part of this, is that Noon isn't the only one with this "Nightmare disorder" which heavily implies that this is not just some random dream. but rather, something moreover sinister and curious, a entrance to another world. Im guessing there must be some sort of eldritch entity, or entities behind these transportations. This also makes me wonder.. what about Mono? it was stated he is on a Endless Journey, a unique case, and it seems like he's forever stuck on a loop of betrayal, unable to return to our world, is he perhaps, on some sort of dimensional coma?
This is wonderful!! I could picture everything in my head, just as if I was playing a little nightmares game. Magnificently told story!! And loved that the music is composed by the same composer of the game soundtracks.
Heard this on spotify and is currently up to episode 6(last episode😢) I am absolutely speechless, I love little nightmares and i love this series!! Honestly i hope someone makes an animated series of this😂
For this chapter (I’m writing everything important in a notebook) I believe that the nightmare takes place in the school. This is because of the woman in the courtyard and the children who look like shadows, the fake children are all suffering from working from the looks of it, plus the child that helps Noone escape could be Mono or The runaway kid. Another interesting theory is that this story could possibly take place in our world as Otto explains that painting is a representation of time and space, this could explain the signal tower and the world that Little nightmares takes place in. The characters we are playing as are having a nightmare because the tower is the being that’s making them experience this. It would also explain why we don’t see anyone caring for them and where all the adults are tall and monstrous, this world that we are seeing is a nightmare world.
Maybe the events of the games are dreams, but in the lovecraftian kind of way instead of just made from childrens' minds. Their minds transcending beyond the physical plane into all types of worlds is a common thing in those stories. This chapter is even named "The workers in the walls", similar to Lovecraft's "The rats in the walls"
Not too far in, but I’m already loving this, the choice of actors and sound design are fantastic, the audio so crisp! It really feels like we’re listening into a conversation with these people in an actual room
It could be that he gets attached to the children and thinks of them as his own that or something sinister is happening. I know very little this is the first one I've watched and am eager to listen to more of it
Holy shit this is already going so hard. I love how they are using the ability to describe things to incorporate senses we never could get from the games like smell. So good and so excited to hear more
Interesting that the councillor is called Otto. It’s a name, but also could be a reference to the names of other little nightmares characters. Six means six, mono is Latin for one, and Otto is Italian for eight.
This is an amazing expansion to the franchise. I loved the writing and the sound design it offered such an immersive experience. This is such a unique view of the little nightmares universe with it being purely audio instead of visual. I can’t wait to listen to more👌
I have depression and probably comorbidity of mental disorder, how little nightmare's reminds me and taught me about how we try to face and function, metaphorically as child who try to live and surviving in such cruel and uncaring "society', i guess they take it further and making it as lore and great story, thank you again for the creator
I like where this is going already! So many mysteries! Also, who else still believed that Six and the Lady are the one and the same? What does this have anything to do with this podcasts? Well, imagining Six grown up to be a beautiful Japanese woman who went through nightmare disorder when she was a child is something. If she is an adult in the real world already, did she receive the treatment she needed already? Or is she still "putting on a mask" to hide her traumas?
@@urlocalneko22 They are NOT related. But it did not mean Six did not grow up to become the Lady. It's part of the time loop theory in case you don't know.
@@lerneanlion The time loop theory is complete bs. Six and the Lady of the Maw are nothing alike personality wise. They can't possibly be the same person.
@@m.a.k.dynasty4504 And why should Six leave the Maw after gaining such power? She can stayed there, wait for more Guests to come and eat them, one way or another.
@@lerneanlionits best to drop that theory since six is the obvious MC and will be in most games. Shes NEVER going to grow up for the sake of us having LN games.
THEORY TIME!! So, if Noone means no one, and we know the setting of the new game takes place in a realm called “The Nowhere” I think we can assume this game will take place within Noone’s nightmares. The stone giant mentioned here seems to have a lot in common with the giant baby doll in the trailer. I wonder if we’ll be able to go inside it and see the workers and the Chain Lady in LN3. The workers remind me of the Viewers from LN2, with their lack of faces and hive-mind-like behavior. Maybe this Stone Giant character is somehow the embodiment of the Signal Tower with the workers actually being claimed Pale City residents, now helping the Tower claim even more victims. As for the tortured souls within, my guess is that those are the previous inhabitants of Necropolis that we see have been made stone by the baby. Perhaps they must undergo some kind of torture before they too will become workers. The friend of Noone here is a tricky one to theorize on due to the lack of general detail. I will say that it might be Six because that’s the only character in the games that has some kind of gender-confusion (seriously NAMCO, is Six a girl or non-binary?). Though the grunt we hear in this podcast when Noone’s friend is caught by the Chain Lady sounds sort of like Mono. Edit: Sorry, Six isn’t actually non-binary, so this part of the comment is probably unlikely, especially with what we learn towards the end of this chapter about mutual dreaming. Thank you, repliers. The last thing I have to say is that I might be completely wrong and that every character here is brand new and has never been seen before. While I would appreciate seeing a horror game bring in new characters instead of refusing to let go of the old ones (*cough cough* FNAF), this podcast was made to help answer some of our questions about the world of LN, and I hope we see at least one or two familiar faces during the upcoming game. Edit: Oh yeah, also the man with the fishing hat is probably the Ferryman. Sorry, forgot that one. Nice to see him finally do something in this series.
@@Ibs69420 I’m actually not sure. I think I remember it being a big deal around the time of LN1’s release. I’m also pretty sure that Jacksepticeye referred to Six using they/them pronouns in his playthrough of LN2. This might just be a case of the Mandela Effect though. I do know that NAMCO refers to Six as a girl in most of the description and marketing texts for LN, though.
@@AllAboard445 yeah. “They” can just refer to a person of unspecified gender. Jack didn’t know if Six was a girl so he just called her “they”. It’s surprising how many people don’t know about singular “they” on TH-cam…
at first i thought the nightmare idea was cheesy, but instead of it being “just a nightmare, nothing matters.” they describe it as mutual dreaming, meaning noone isnt the only one experiencing these. making it a lot more meaningful. they most likely mean something as well, so i actually kind of love the idea now lol, excited to see where it goes!
The way they described this makes it sound like a prison. The workers are the echos of people that used to work there. The circular room is the main chamber and most prisons have courtyards. This is my guess
@@mariachi9917it could be the description of the idea that noone said she was trying to escape the inside of the monster or the mouth of one. There is always theorizing but I tried to find ways to connect dots but only thing I could think of is the ferry mans description
It would be a interesting idea to think that she might be the runaway girl and the boy with the chain could be the runaway kid and this takes place possibly before the first game starts
I could not be more thrilled! Already hooked to the podcast and am egearly awaiting the third game! Bandi Namco said they saw Little NIghtmares as a flagship franchise and they're delivering!
I can't get pass how well this story make me see what the characters are seeing and feeling, I would love to have a novel around this on my book shelf.
Nooo no no no. I really hope they don't go the route of there being a "real" world, and the little nightmares world is just some dream dimension. One intriguing thing about little nightmares for me is the whole aspect of how the world came to be in the state it's in, how everything functions. This would be ruined, if it was just a "dream world". Accepting the otherworldliness of little nightmares as the sole reality of this world is what makes it so eerie and special, IMHO
I see where some are coming from saying they’d be upset if the world of Little Nightmares is just a dream land for these children in the mental ward and isn’t real, as that’s a very typical route for horror stories to go with and so far Little Nightmares has been a unique and refreshing storyline so that would suck a bit, but I really don’t think that’s what they’re getting at here.
I loved all 6 episodes and I truly hope we get more episodes perhaps a season 2, Little Nightmares is truly a hidden Gem and I love the world! So Thank You for giving us this gem and I can't wait to play Little Nightmares 3
Ok so no joke, this was so good and put me into the story so well that after listening I went to get some water and I SWEAR a worker appeared on the end of my couch. I was about to drop kick that bro.
From what I'm understanding, the entire Little Nightmares world that is the Nowhere, exists as a parallel realm from the real world. Ngl, that kind of frustrates me on so many levels. I was hoping that the world was once like ours, but the Signal Tower arrived and changed everything. The humans had become hypnotised by its offers of escapism and transformed them into the Viewers and malformed them into the Guests. Now that whole theory and what we originally perceived this universe as has been thrown out the window for an overused trope that everything is perfectly fine and only a few are being affected.
I've come here after finishing LN2 and listening to The Magnus Archives, and this is so good!!! I had fun listening to Noone's story, and Otto's voice is so nice? Loved hearing One Step, Two Step during the shadow segment ❤❤
My Theory is that the World that little nightmares takes place in (apparently called "The Nowhere") is an alternative world either acessed by dreaming & possibly even CREATED by our nightmares. The only non-hostile entites found within the Nowhere are Children or beings derivative of them like the Gnomes. This leads me to believe that Human children are not Native to Nowhere, as they do not fit into the society Nowhere operates under, its why the Teacher teaches Dolls, its why everybody freaks out when Kids are present. Children are not a natural occurrence in this world, they're pests and delicacies to be gobbled up.

I'm kind of wondering if the young child with the goop on his hair was the Runaway Kid, because it was said that the woman put a chain from her dress onto him so he could be dragged away, and the Runaway Kid (in the DLC) has a chain around his ankle.
Didn't the runaway kid died?

You said that Noon and six are both number names. What number is "noon"? Nine (9)?
It is spelled Noone though
@@papasteve22i think Noone's number was 1220 (12 being adjacent to 6)

If that's really the plot, they've screwed up a promising franchise! It would be a thousand times better to think that the events of LN are real than to be the literal nightmares of a mentally disturbed child!

What the heck is this spelling.I do think your correct about the shadow workers are older shadow kids.
@hiiii882 Okay, first you didn't space your period correctly. And second, where are my misspelled words?
@@williamking331To your credit, you didn't misspell anything, at least to my knowledge. Its your grammar what is the issue. Although I do like your theory, it is a bit hard to understand. All I can say is, do and want to be better and you'll definitely improve.
Noone is younger than 10, confirmed in chapter 3.
I applaud!
Same thing happened to me😂😂
I hope this becomes a full audiobook when enough chapters release.
I may regret this comment later but it was nice to see an adult be good to a kid.

OOOOOOOH I wish I could animate.
If I could I totally would make an animated series of the podcast.
I got completely immersed in this story, I did not expect something like this from Little Nightmares but i'm pretty grateful that this is here
I think it's so cool that the “chapters” they put in the video are similar to how the game levels are named. They are very simple. “The Guests” or “The Teacher” are used to refer to villains. Names like “Mono” “Six” and “Noon” are usually protagonists.
The Counselor could possibly be in LN 3 or only the lore or the places.
Noone's British accent sounds adorable. ♥️♥️♥️
It is received pronunciation
*First off, important information:*
The Little Girl's name = Noon (Kinda sounds like Nine.)
The Counsellor's name = Otto/Auto. (Otto sounds like "Octo" which is greek for eight.)
I believe these are new characters being introduced, and not the old ones we've met, i could be wrong, through.
The Workers = Nomes?
The Lady = No Idea.
CiCi = No idea, but otto seems to know them and talk of them as if they were related.
*The Story:*
From what i've understood, this story in specific is about how Noon is capable of accessing another reality whilst she sleeps, this isn't exactly the act of dreaming, but moreover the act of transporting one's self to this alternative reality, "Nowhere." (?) is what this place is called.
Noon's description of her nightmare reminds me heavily of The Maw in the first game, Noon might've been transported there.
what about noon's friend, that decided to help her? I have no idea.
Through they did seem to be more aware of what was going on around them than noon.
Most likely another kid with the special ability that Otto calls "Mutual Dreaming"
Mutual dreaming seems to be something Otto and his collegues are trying to understand.
Otto states as an indication of that ability being present: *"Your perception of temperature, and smell while dreaming is sometimes thought to be an indicator of this trans-personal phenomenon."*
i believe the Counties Psychiatric Institute might have one of it's goals being to try and understand what is the source of this alternate reality, how do you access it, how do you leave it, what cause it?
I wonder if the map Otto has in his office will be of any importance to this.
Noon by the end states they don't want to sleep, and Otto allows her to pick a Candy of choice, most likely to put Noon to sleep (Since it was stated by otto that it's night time.)
*Conclusion:*
What i find to be the most interesting part of this, is that Noon isn't the only one with this "Nightmare disorder" which heavily implies that this is not just some random dream.
but rather, something moreover sinister and curious, a entrance to another world.
Fr, the soundtrack is incredible
I wish little nightmares wasn’t so underrated this series will be something amazing in the future
Well..
Also I hope LN is not so high popular too..
Because it could be a problem too
ugh this is so good, this type of medium works so well for this series
It was first definitely the maw, considering the maw ambience, then it changed to the school going by the clock.
I'm pretty sure noone is runaway girl

Maybe the events of the games are dreams, but in the lovecraftian kind of way instead of just made from childrens' minds. Their minds transcending beyond the physical plane into all types of worlds is a common thing in those stories. This chapter is even named "The workers in the walls", similar to Lovecraft's "The rats in the walls"

I can’t wait to listen to more👌
I have depression and probably comorbidity of mental disorder, how little nightmare's reminds me and taught me about how we try to face and function, metaphorically as child who try to live and surviving in such cruel and uncaring "society', i guess they take it further and making it as lore and great story,
thank you again for the creator
I like where this is going already! So many mysteries! Also, who else still believed that Six and the Lady are the one and the same? What does this have anything to do with this podcasts? Well, imagining Six grown up to be a beautiful Japanese woman who went through nightmare disorder when she was a child is something. If she is an adult in the real world already, did she receive the treatment she needed already? Or is she still "putting on a mask" to hide her traumas?
I believe it's been confirmed that Six and The Lady are not related.
@@urlocalneko22 They are NOT related. But it did not mean Six did not grow up to become the Lady. It's part of the time loop theory in case you don't know.
@@lerneanlion
The time loop theory is complete bs.
Why would u think six is non binary? Where did u get that from?
@@Ibs69420 I’m actually not sure. I think I remember it being a big deal around the time of LN1’s release. I’m also pretty sure that Jacksepticeye referred to Six using they/them pronouns in his playthrough of LN2. This might just be a case of the Mandela Effect though. I do know that NAMCO refers to Six as a girl in most of the description and marketing texts for LN, though.
@@AllAboard445the problem is probably that people assume “they” refers to exclusively non binary people for singular people when it doesn’t.
@@tezlatower2362 Ah, I see. Thank you for the clarification.
This was FAR better than I would have thought well done
The way they described this makes it sound like a prison. The workers are the echos of people that used to work there. The circular room is the main chamber and most prisons have courtyards.
This is my guess
The common sense guess, can’t understand why people is trying to match it with the Maw and all that stuff when it just don’t fix
@@mariachi9917it could be the description of the idea that noone said she was trying to escape the inside of the monster or the mouth of one. There is always theorizing but I tried to find ways to connect dots but only thing I could think of is the ferry mans description
wow! I been super intrigued into the world of little nightmares recently ☺️. Pleasee continue the lore behind this series i love it so much!
Given that this is the first episode in the podcast series, I wonder if Noon’s nightmare is an anticipation of the first level in the game.

This is super intersting yet super cool, i love it
Nooo no no no.
I love how the intro song is the most replayed, it really is just that good
FORT WHAT?! Okay, but seriously this is a really good podcast.

I love how this is written. This is like those radio stories I used to hear.
I am so proud of Little Nightmares! You guys never gave up! I'm very happy for your success!

This is so much better than I could have imagined. Holy what
This was amazing. So excited for more!
THERE'S AN AUDIO FICTION SERIES TO PREP US FOR THE LAUNCH OF LN3?

This is beautiful and I want to animate it
Agreed. But, this will be the game. Just give it time 🖤
This answered so many questions in my head
That was so well written 👏🏼

I also have Scopophobia - fear of being Watched or Starred at, people think that's romantic, but I find it creepy, I don't want anyone starring at me... And... The last one... The most unrealistic one VORAREPHOBIA - The fear of being Eaten alive or Swallowed, I've had a nightmare years ago where I was in a Cage at a fancy Restaurant, honestly it was very like Little Nightmares I, but Instead of big fat Guests, the Guests where... Still fat... but Purple... And in Suits and Dresses, fancy stuff basically... I vaguely remember a Curtain behind me, and a Chef... A weird short one... With a butcher knife, needless to say I woke up before anything happened, but I got Stares in that dream... I always have weird scary dreams... And one more thing, the Ladies hum, I heard that somewhere before Little Nightmares ever existed... It sounds Familiar... Anyway sorry for my Rant, hope this was Interesting~
