      I'm a chiropractor and sometimes experience dizziness after a bad night's sleep. It's been traced to my occiput being out of alignment. Are there any other acupuncture points besides the ones you mentioned that would help, until I get adjusted? Also what adjustive technique do you practice?

    • @drjonsaunders
      @drjonsaunders  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@drrettner I'd be focussing on your suboccipital area for sure then...I use CBP, Thompson, Accustim, Drops, Upper cervical, Diversifed, etc...whichever suits each case appropriately. :)

      You're great Dr Jon 💐My Explanation is Little long
      Sir I have long screen time on desktop around 10 hours daily
      5 WEEKS BACK
      While doing my work on desktop I started feeling dizzy hard to focus on desktop causing discomfort so I took break for few days to get symptoms resolved but after 3 days of waiting I felt better so I started doing exercise like push-up in the evening which triggered severe diziness after 30 minutes I started feeling more discomfort with dizziness and anxiety increased so the heart rate and Blood Pressure, I suddenly reached neighbour hospital for cardiovascular Testing Echo and ECH, FEW BLOOD TEST doctor said everything is okay just an anxiety but it did not stop there it continued causing discomfort making me disable to sit and work on desktop even I can't extend my sitting time because after 30 minutes I fell out of control and lying down is the only way to decrease symptoms...
      Then Brain MRI, ENT Doctors Check up all are Normal.
      3 WEEKS Passed no great improvement then I saw your video 2.5 weeks back and tried deep flexor test on me confirm that I can't hold that position more than 5 sec so I started doing exercise and in meantime my neurologist suggested medication to cure nerve weakness and by taking medication and deep flex strengthen exercises I achieved state of almost diziness free state and my balance while walking is improved
      NOW I CAN HOLD 20 SECONDS DEDP FLEXOR

      I've had vertigo for over 20 years now and my ENT told me to use Flonase everyday. After one week I started to level off. It takes time to build it up in your system. It dries the pressure inside and levels me. If I get lazy my vertigo will creep back. At that point I take Flonase twice a day - morning and night - until I feel better. It also helps me with my allergies. Hopefully you feel better. I know what you are going through. It was at a point when I couldn't get out of bed because the room was spinning.

    Compared to other similar videos on here that for me were like medieval torture, yours were gentle which I appreciate. Your manner also kind.

    I went to the ER after I experienced dizziness last week. The doctor did all the tests including ecg, liver and kidney functions, orthostatic hypotension, etc. Everything was normal. Why then dizziness? He did not check ears. Could this be ears related? I experienced dizziness only when I was lying down and then got up...not otherwise. If I am sitting for a long time and if I get up, I don't feel dizzy. Any suggestions?

    question: I'm getting over a battle with vertigo that started last Thursday morning on the 6th. It was my left side. Worse attack I have every experienced. It's a nightmare when you do the Epley maneuver by yourself. It would seem I got all the crystals moved and was just dealing with the vertigo "hangover" for some days. However, this a.m. I woke up a little dizzy and I had slight vertigo on my right. Did the maneuver and I believe I got that. Since last Thursday I have been sleeping at an upward angle on my adjustable bed. If I have no more vertigo on either side and I am just dealing with the after affect hangover...should I be sleeping at an angle or should I be flat on my back? I'll be making an appointment with and ENT to get checked out as the tinnitus in my left ear is louder than normally what I am used to but not sure if that will go back to where it was and it's just a part of the recovery on the hangover.

    What about vision anomalies caused by vertigo? I have been experiencing this for years after I changed profession. It led me to a serious burn out where these vision anomalies (not being able to read, especially on a white background, suffering when I look at a source of light...) where amplified. Have you ever seen that or do you have any video about that? Thanks in advance. I just saw a video and subscribed cause it seems very enlightening.

    Look up at the corner of the room. It really stops the spinning. I thought my husband was nuts when he told me that. Everything was spinning, and I shut my eyes and laid down, and he said, No, don't close your eyes, look up at the corner, just stare at the corner. Everything stopped spinning. It has saved me many times over the years. Simple. Faster than two minutes. Who can function that long when things are spinning?

      Go through the routine a few times, and try chaging the order you go through the points...for most there should be noticeable improvement in as little as 2 minutes, but for some it may take up to 30 minutes...this is mainly effective for an attack or bout of vertigo, but not for fixing the cause...thanks for your comment.
