Hello, I recently have experienced vertigo and I am not a fan. It is the worst feeling I have ever felt. My question is when is comes to the epley maneuvers, what if you get vertigo on both right and left side? Which side do I start first?

Chronic allergic dizziness due to hayfever and tmjd sinus pressure dizziness, and cervical vertigo here. So a lot! It's aweful. The brainfog is real. Also exhaustion where sleeping enough does not help. I hope this helps me! Going to try right away cause I'm not having a good day!

I have learned a few of these sleep positions through sad experience. This is a keeper video. Thanks for your frequent and helpful attention to vertigo a nd dizziness.
I alternate; BPPV, cervical. Over decades, but less frequent in recent months. BPPV is a spin and it doesn't always disappear quickly with Epley. Sometimes days. Spinocervical is lightheadedness, inability to gain vision focus, nausea, and generally harder to get on top of.

I've had a history of BPPV, and the Epley maneuver has worked well, except for my current bout. If I sleep on my back or left side, I can get up without being dizzy, if I sleep on the right, it takes about 30 seconds to stop spinning when I get up. Gonna try another round of the Epley...really hope that helps. Thanks for your attention on this subject. It's one of the worst conditions to have. On par with migraines, and probably worse, except in my case, not as frequent.

I've been dealing with vertigo at bed time for nearly 3 years. I feel like it's related to my ears. The sides I can sleep on change and for the last 3 weeks nothing is working. On top of the spinning and dizziness, I constantly get jerks that makes me feel I'm falling into a void and gonna die. It's absolutely awful and I wouldn't wish is on anyone. My life has become a blur at this point. I'm waiting to see ENT to see if they can find anything. Don't know how much longer I can cope

For those with vertigo or dizziness, proper sleep positioning is crucial. When sleeping on your back, use pillows to elevate your head slightly. For side sleeping, place a pillow between your knees to maintain spinal alignment. If you have BPPV, sleep with the affected ear up. Move slowly when changing positions to minimize symptoms.

I’m suspecting my nerves might start pinching after many years after victim of a car accident. I already talked with vertigo therapy, she told me it’s could be from crystal inside my ear OR nerve being pinching-. I’m going have an appointment with neurosurgeon doctor this week.

Hlw jon I want to ask you a question. I am suffering from cervical spondylitis and I have done my x-ray. And it shows straightning of cervical lordosis. Whenever I move my head side to side and tilt it makes some type of grinding and crunching noises. So my question is that if we have loss of neck cervical curvature does it creates this type of Creepy noises ? And I am doing some exercises to make my Cervical curve back again . And if my curve backs in its own alignment will this noises be stop ?? And how much time it takes to get the curve back ??

Thank you so much for a very informative video, Doctor! I have very tense neck and shoulders+ lower back, but when I went to a physiotherapist, the only thing that showed on the X-ray, was bad body posture. Yet, for the longest time, I feel a bit floaty when I walk or sit or bend my head backwards, and a couple of days ago, I suddenly got a bout of vertigo in the morning. Now I am still 'floaty' and I literally feel a spot in my lower back that makes me feel that I am 'moving'. Would the lower back be also connected to cervical issues? Thanks A LOT!

@@drjonsaunders I've had BPPV for about 20 years, right side when head back to that side. I sleep the way you suggested, elevated, pillows, etc. Early this morning in bed, turned to the LEFT side, but sort of down and wow that set off the spinning. Woke me up but didn't last long. So now what? Back only??? I really wish there was permanent surgery for this. On top of this I've had constant tinnitus for 5 years, right ear.

At 1:23 you state a couple of pills instead of pillows.
