@efcbluenose1 crazy ive never heard of a big mantis shrimp species being a hitchiker, but then again he is a small one, you usually find the tiny less than 1 inchers as hitchikers, not these guys, thanks for not killing him
@newyorksteelo thanks steelo theres no way i could kill such an awesome creature! I took him back to the aquarium store and one of the guys there has it in its own tank and hes hand feeding it!
@chorizo1337 im just glad i got him out! That small shrimp nailed a cleaner shrimp, a firefish and one of my green chromis before i knew he was there!!
@chorizo1337 the rocks arent that big, they are full of hiding holes and that shrimp is only about 1-2 inches long, and it definitely hitched a ride man - i didnt buy the fucker!!
I put some tank water in a bucket, took the rock out which he was hiding in and poured fresh water into the hole he was in, he came out and into the bucket unharmed. I just bagged him and took him down to the local aquarium, one of the staff in there took him home to his own tank
a g. ternatensis is not a small dry rock type of hitchiker, this is one of the bigger/medium species, how big of a goddam rock did you put in your tank
