i have work this part of the desert for years , yes the gold is spotty , found it best to either rework the old tailings with a drywasher or scrape a grid and work the hard pan with a detector , have found that the gold gets stuck in the caliche

Before anybody goes anywhere make sure you scope the area out on Google Earth! Make sure you have a map like a usgs 7.5 min topo and the photo advance print ( used to make the topo) USGS Map center at Denver Federal Center). And at a bare min make your own map in your notebook... and keep track of where your samples, concentrates and gold came from for future reference. Sharpi pens and ziploc bags, white out for puting numbers on rocks.
At first its easy to remember every detail then two months later we mix everything up and cant remember where that blowout rhodium or massive gold sample came from.
So we have to find it and we have to keep track of where we found it... just incase (it) turns out to be epic!

I’ve been asking on this channel for years and I finally got the answer. The answer was deleted a couple of days later. I’m assuming to protect the amnesty of the family, so I’ll give you the short answer…
Tom and Cindy are up in Alaska. Perry is enjoying retirement as well, probably in Arizona area. No word on Kia and the other kids, although I saw her on some Wild West show recorded in Colorado a couple years ago.
Gold Fever was our family’s favorite gold show, hands down!
