Gouldians. Here in Cape Town S.A. we use the L-shaped nest boxes. They seem to work best.
Yes the red-headed males are the most attractive.

Hi nice aviary love the red heads Gouldians I've been involved with Gouldians since 1987 had a few aviarys over the year's, I still have an aviary but no birds I'm having a few year's off but always watching how others breed them and looking at how they keep their aviarys.

By far the most successful Gouldian nesting setup I’ve tried is the standard budgie box with a tunnel glued on the entrance. 10-15cm of large bamboo - sourced from Bunnings and cut to length with a shaped perch out front. Some nesting material placed in the box to give these rudimentary nest builders a head start. Just a suggestion…
