Such an amazing song. I had a conversation with my parents and someone mentioned this song by Adele and they had no idea Bob Dylan wrote it until I told them. It’s great to see how many Bob Dylan songs were covered by other people. A true master of music🙌🏼
Scott Crosby I listen to Billy Joel’s cover . I’m not a huge Billie Joel fan, but I really liked it. I am really obsessed with some songs. This is one of them. Forever Young also Bob Dylan is another. I played Forever Young at both of my sons funerals. They were 29 and 38 when they died. I also played Don’t Follow by Alice In Chains . I had a close family friend burn a CD for each of their funerals. We played it during the meal we shared after their funerals. My younger son died of an accidental OD at a party of Fentenal. The older one to suicide. The oldest sons favorite band was Led Zeppelin so of course he had to have Stairway to Heaven for him too. My mother was so mortified by the viewing, and funerals, music and the way I handled it all. My younger son we had his viewing and then had the funeral in my garden. I read a poem and his friends all spoke about him. Then we had a BBQ. It was perfect for Paul. My mom and sister did not even come to my older sons funeral at all. I did what I thought was right for them. The music was a huge part of our lives. That’s for the tip on Billy Joel.

Jordan B. C. Thank you. That’s very kind. It is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. But I am a much better person from going through so much. I help with a couple of support groups for parents who lost kids to drugs and suicide. I also help with suicide prevention and addicts . Helping other people saved my life. Music is huge in my life. My granddaughter tells me my playlists have multiple personalities! She listens to my music and I’ve learned to like some of hers. I did the same thing with my sons. So my music is really from many genres.

Heard this in the movie "Life Itself". Stunningly beautiful. Bob's voice was never a hindrance IMO. This is just a mind blower!! Beautiful lyrics and the time-worn voice.
Randy Stewart that movie is a beautiful one
One of my favourite films
I’ve rewatched the movie countless time it’s one of my favorites it remains impactful each and every time
Just saw that movie. It was amazing
Oddly enough.. I heard it in Another Cinderella Story by Hilary Duff.
This is the best version of this song I've ever heard. It is why I fell in love with Bob 58 years ago. He is songwriting royalty.
Hello Del how are you doing today
You are a genius of the pen and move emotions beyond your wildest dreams
maybe the greatest love song ever written
This man made masterpiece after masterpiece and surprised the whole world by refusing a Nobel. Bob Dylan is the one and only true GOAT.
My absolute favorite song. Best three words are ‘highway of regret’. We all have them-regrets. I had to grow older and experience life before I really appreciated his work. A true genius.
Yes! words cant describe the beauty of his words and melody. Tears! Love you Bob D.
very few of todays singers or writers can come close to the Genius of those of yesterday
There is so much emotion in this song. It's brilliant.
This song is simply incredible.
Non è un capolavoro ma l'ha fatta Bob Dylan e solo per questo pelle d'oca
You just have to love Dylan’s music. A lot of folks do great covers, but I love the original.
Me too, only Bob can do Bob.
Me too! Bob Dylan's versions are always better 🌹
No other musician has helped me as so very much as Bob has done, in a million years !!!!!!!!!!!
It doesn’t get better than this. Masterful, beautiful, heart-wrenching, honest, and sincere.
Bob Dylan is one of our greatest poets
Perfectly sung, perfect lyrics. Thanks Bob
Not a dry eye in the house / Bob sings with raw emotion you feel every word / God Bless 🌟💞🎵
This album is one of his best. So underappreciated. Magical.
I don't think it's underappreciated. It won the Grammy for album of the year and all Dylan fans know it's one of his very best. Daniel Lanois' production has a lot to do with it too.
Not under appreciated...it got very good ratings.
So many people think what was so great about Bob Dylan? Well let me tell you that he was an inspiration to so many. An amazing poet, storyteller and song writer. Truly authentic as a person and in his song writing. ❤️
is instead of was? :)
He is indeed a musical genius not just for his lyrics but his melodies and rhythms. Been in fan since my elementary days!
One of the greatest song writers of all time
A perfect definition of Masterpiece!!
HE still writes!!! He has a new album even!! And yes Masterpiece in all of its everything.... BD is a cut above a time beyond breath
This is Bob Dylan’s song. Others try but he owns it!
it became a modern standard
It's his divine creativity. You can easily create 10 legends from what he had composed in his life. One man did all those, unbelievable.
Totally agree with that, he's got an arsenal of outstanding material, well known for the fan or even hidden beauty's throughout his life's work, absolutely remarkable.
Bob é atemporal, um Shakespeare de nosso tempo, estas preciosidades aparecem raramente.
Then Bob Dylan comes out writes and sings a simple bitter sweet deep wonderful poem and melody and you know Why He's simply the best
Such an amazing song.
I had a conversation with my parents and someone mentioned this song by Adele and they had no idea Bob Dylan wrote it until I told them.
It’s great to see how many Bob Dylan songs were covered by other people.
A true master of music🙌🏼
And people have been covering Bob's songs forever. The Byrds-Mr. Tambourine Man-1965
The covers tend to sound better than the original, in Bob Dylan’s case. Same with Neil Young. Cannot stand their voices.
@@MikeButlerMedia even before that- peter, paul and Mary- blowin in the wind-1963
@@naylas3908 Give it time, the 2 of them grow on you.
In my opinion, this song has the perfect chord progression.
America’s poet. This is the best version ever.
Adele, Garth they are all just too perfect for this song.
Peggy Burke Billy Joel does an incredible version 🔥
Scott Crosby
I listen to Billy Joel’s cover .
@@pyburke63 I'm so sorry you have to go through the death of your sons. I think the way you chose to celebrate their lives and say goodbye sounds lovely.
Jordan B. C.

What a poet 🙌🏼
Didn't know he wrote this! Happy 80th birthday Bob Dylan!
Hi Shelley, How are you doing?
The magic of Bob Dylan comes out big in this song. I bet he got on a roll and wrote it in one sitting.
THE most beautiful love song ever written. No cover compares to Bob.
