When I saw this for the first time, this drama, I asked my mom if they ever kissed, and when she said no, I didn’t believe it. I was a stupid girl who thought love was strong only with kisses. After finishing this, I realized how much this world made so much stereotypes. The way they looked at each other made me think their love was so strong. The way they talked and looked at each other was such a strong way to represent love.

These dialogues are so deep,what a beautiful & pure romance .
just finished this drama, and it is an amazing piece of art, cast, music, story, just awesome all 24 epi. It is heart wrenching and sad, yet shows the struggle of class, country, war, social changes. I love how they showed all the people in the city, American, Korean, Japanese ,slave and noble. ALL were excellent. Hart to like Japan for their action in history. Being an American, I would want to not take sides, but not ignore the plite of such a small country.
Mr. Sunshine has a very meaningful and historic story to tell. Every actor played a deep and heartfelt role.
This drama is a classic. I watched it twice and the second time, a year after the first, I still enjoyed it just like the first time. The story, the plot, the dialogues and the acting are all so good. Lee Byung Hun and Kim Tae Ri are superb.
Mr.sunshine is a great masterpiece! Excellent historical love drama with 3 men love the same woman and they all sacrificed
for the country she loves so dearly!
Normally, I do not like to see couples with more than a 15-year age gap, and here you have the actors who are 20 years apart in age. But it works so beautifully. Lady Ae-shin was loved by three men so dearly, but it was clear how she was truly, deeply devoted to Eugene. But as the story kept emphasizing, not every story has a happy ending. But their romance was so beautiful all the same.
Same but surprisingly eugene and ae shin's love story is beautiful. Maybe instead of making it full of lust, this couple only gives us love, true love. That's why I love them despite the huge age gap. Also, in Joseon era it's not that weird maybe?
No kiss, no happy ending…but in this series it never mattered. Such a beautiful series, masterfully acted with love so well conveyed that you as an audience feel it to the bone…….

I love how all 3 MLs put there differences and nationality aside to protect Aeshin.
It parallels how koreans are. No matter where they are, they become 1 for their native home. (It also reminded me of the story of how the koreans citizens came together and donated all their gold for the country when it fell into debt. (Stark contrast from how greece handled the situation) ). Be it the past or the present, the korean people are fighting for there land from foreigners (china, NK, japan)

My father really like this drama so much.After I watched this,I just know that this is really a masterpiece.
Episode #19 aired last night. There was a scene when Eugene said he missed her. But Ae-Shin was expecting him to say something more which she had said starts with "I . . .". Given the turmoil at the time, I guess she was wanting to be comforted and reassured by Eugene.
Their love has deepened. I am reminded of an earlier scene on the beach when Ae-Sin asked Eugene how he will respond to Joseph's letter. Eugene promptly composed the letter: _"I went to a beach today. However, instead of the sea, all I saw was a woman . . ."_
That kinda sums it all for Eugene and Ae-Sin; he sees only her, she sees only him. Knowing their social class forbids their union, nevertheless Ae-Sin can't help falling in love with Eugene. And Eugene is content with whatever time their fate allows him to be in her life. They demand nothing of each other save for the other's well being and happiness.

Really this is the best drama i ever watch .superb acting, strong chemistry and very emotional.i cried whole day watching it's last episode how eugene sacrifices everything and even himself for her Victory even josean abandoned him. He remains neither American nor josean for her. This drama is masterpiece, best story Best actors .interesting part of this drama is all the three boys are willing to sacrifice every thing for her but eugene's death trembles me even death of hotel owner, Dong mae, kim hui sang are very emotional. I became huge fan of kim tae ri due to this drama. Ae sin and eugene's love is so deep and strong even without kiss it beats all other dramas where their are countless kisses but their chemistry does not impress as such when ae sin and eugene only hold hands and when they hug it is like my body is wavering I never feel that watching other dramas where their are countless kisses. that is why I love this drama so much .
The story, acting, directing, and soundtrack-everything is flawless, making it the perfect classic.

I'm so heart broken that there will not be a season two of this drama. The entire cast is beautiful. Eugene Choi and Ae-Shin extraordinary love ❤... I've so depresed about the "Sad Ending" ... I wanted to see them building a house on the mountain he dreamed of and having a little Eugene...😢 but I guess this was the reality of this place during this times...
Please film the second season... if the samurai survived the first time, I think you can bring Eugene back to live. We'll pretend he was wearing a bullet proof vest 😁😉... absolutely love the picture in this movie.
