The reason why that scene feels so intimate (despite its innocence by todays standards) is because it is VERY intimate. He even touched her body to get the correct measurements. If they were caught he would have been killed; this man is risking his life to make the woman he loves look and feel as beautiful as he already knows she is. He created the perfect dress to showcase what he saw every time he looked at her; the moon. A beautiful and pure light, illuminating his darkness, but ultimately out of his reach.

When she stepped out of the shadows, it was like watching the moon rising. There was a faint golden glow, like she was reflecting the sun. If you know that in Korea, they consider the king as the sun and the queen as the moon, it makes the scene even more meaningful.

I was holding my breath the whole time the queen is getting her measurements. The scene is just THAT powerful. Full of emotions.
What stands out for me was the love and devotion evident in the way the tailor announces her presence and bows to her. Heart-stopping and tear-jerking...definitely emotional! ❤❤

I really love this part of the scene.
It's like watching the visual representation of the sun and the moon reuniting again in the sky. The king is the sun, while the queen is the moon. The way she walked and glowed on that festive night is what made her look so regal and beautiful like the moon. Even the concubine looks like a dull star compared to the queen. Amazing scene.

Such a beautiful mesmerizing scene. I love how gentle the Taylor measures her, eventhough he is so gentle and careful, it is a breathtaking moment. He stole her heart very cleverly. I wish they both had a happy ending. She truly liked him.. she even wore the head piece he gave him :( really sad they both didn’t have much more scenes

Back then the concept of a white dress wasn’t a thing, even in weddings royalty wore colored dresses and pearl fabric, plus the color white was consider a color of mourning soooo it was brave and out of the box for a tailor to make a white dress let alone for a queen!

That's Korean drama at its best: the scene where he is taking her messurements is so sintilizing, intimate, brooding and full of passion. while nothing is actually happening. Forget all these Western drama;s where they kiss in the first episode. i love that sometimes nothing happens at all in a whole Kdrama but just glances or a light touch or eye contact. Real life should be the same.
