Fun fact: Being an MSX port of the game, the sounds and music look similar to YM2612, so, that's how SMW would be listened if it was released officially on the Mega Drive.
@@Oal9999I'd say it's a subjective matter this version has an advantage since it's less muffled while the og game despite using basic waveforms, had more flexible sound design i think that the music could sound better here if custom patches & patch switching were used or instead of using msx-music (ym2413 opll) msx-audio(y8950) were to be used instead
I kind of feel like the MSX2 here is something technologically equivalent to like a Master System but with terrible scrolling. Or maybe equivalent to low effort programming for the TG-16/PCE? The original MSX1 is more like a Colecovision/SG-1000 or like NES before programmers knew all of its tricks
@@evenmorebetterIt’s similar to the Master System. It has the same CPU and similar graphics capabilities (but with a larger color pallet) and could play the same music on a Japanese Master system, which had a FM synthesis chip. Not on Master Systems sold in other regions however.

sound* not visuals, but you're still right about the mega drive part
Hold up... this actually sounds good
Don't sounds only, it IS actually good
@@Whenyouareusingyoutubeillbetheyeah but because the lack of power on the MSX the slowdowns make harder to control
Yeah, honestly the music and sounds have this unique charm to it
This is better than the NES version!
Just like Metal Gear
@@HuseynMemmedovMetal Gear for MSX is the original version, the NES version is a bad port
I know. Because, Kojima worked on MSX.
The NES version is just a bootleg, this one is a really good homebrew
マジかぁ。このレベルのマリオがMSXで遊べるなんて。
移植したのは、どこの神様ですか?
Looks a hell of a lot better than the Super Boy series
Also the Up Arrow Suit in place of the cape here is killing me and I am now dead

you can’t change my mind
i like the msx version more than the snes the music seems good, and I'm impressed Nintendo should NOT stop this clone
The music sucks

This is so damn impressive, IT'S THE ENTIRE FUCKING GAME HOW IN THE ACTUAL FUCK DID THEY DO THIS
Guys, this is the MSX2+ version
Are you not confused with the msx 2 hardware? Because i think that theres no way in hell this could run on a stock stock msx system.
But is does
On a stock msx2 system it runs
It could probably run on the Master System, and have the original music on a Japanese version one.
What sorcery is this
HOW?! I'm as surprised as when I saw that SMB clone on Intellivision. I always thought MSX was in the same tier(or lower) than NES.

What is the resolution of the game
256x212
Nice
this sounds like NSMB
Super Mario world revamped
What happened to this project? I've tried to look for videos of this currently, but nobody gives a crap anymore.
Is this a rom hack? Or official release?
It's unofficial, but I think it is made from scratch, not a hack. According to the author, it was 8 years in the making!
