Conley was super lucky to get it this season, and I'm very happy glad he did. Literally three guys had to be injured in the West for him to be included. And at his age at 33, this may have been his last "all-star level" season.
Basically a lot of eastern conference players since there were years they just had to put 12: Jameer Nelson, Devin Harris, Kyle Korver, Jeff Teague. There’s years Lowry should not have been an all star in my opinion but had the eastern conference thing going him. Brad Miller has to be one of the most mediocre all stars of all time though when he was on the kings. Man wasn’t even on the legendary 01-02 to team that got robbed.

Myles Turner is an underrated perimeter defender too, he's pretty quick on his feet which is why he can recover so quickly to block shots. He can also stretch the floor obviously and when he gets touches he's shown he can produce on offense
The year Tobis Harris was on the Clippers and shipped to the sixers, he should have been an all-star. He was carrying a team that most expected to be bottom of the pack all the way to a shot at the playoffs. He was crazy underrated that season and it was his first real coming out party.

That's actually a really good description of the Western Conference the last 22 years, starting with the Spurs powerhouse in 98-99. The Western Conference has been a complete blood bath. Up until The Nets gained 3 offensive superstars this year, the West has been a giant anvil and the Eastern conference a quarter-full bucket of water. And even with the Nets "powerhouse", a team in the Western Conference will likely be crowned champion for years to come. The Eastern Conference ruled a large chuck of the latter-half of the 20th century.

Fox absolutely should have been an All Star this year. I know it's competitive, especially amongst guards, but Fox deserved it over Conley.
