The Center position in the East always had some scratch your head type of selections especially in the 2000’s one yr they selected Antonio Davis and Theo Ratliff in the same game lol, Zydrunas even made it one yr

Hell no, are we talking about the same Dale Davis? The one eating and clutching in the playoffs and vs the Shaq's Lakers in the Finals and being one of the mentioned players when talking about those stacked Pacers chocked by Reggie? Being let down by Reggie Miller does that I guess, not only he had to go through that together with his teammates of those stacked late 90s and early 2000s Pacers, especially in the front court thanks to Davis together with the other Davis and Rik Smits, but also gets disrespected of his all star + that being one of the Larry Legend's Pacers/2000 Pacers accolade assortment.
In 1952-1953 Bill Gabor averaged 9.4 points with 1.9 assists and 1.5 rebounds on 35% shooting and he was an all-star. I still don't get this selection, I can't find out how this happened.
Kyle Korver definitely deserved it because he shot 40/50/90 on the season! Before the all star break he was shooting 50/50/95. An amazing run for anyone!
I don’t care if people say that “the all star game is a fans game.” I don’t appreciate people voting in popular stars like Yao, Hill, and Kobe for playing less than 7 games. It screws over players who are having an outstanding season and don’t end up getting recognized for their efforts because people would rather have injured stars, who can’t even play in the game, go instead
Kobe arguably didn’t deserve to be an all star in 2012 either, but since that was a lockout year it’s not too egregious. And 1998 also, but that’s unarguable. He averaged 15 points a game but barely any other stats. And then obviously from 2014 - 2016 he didn’t deserve all of those selections, but at that point everybody knew that it was just a popularity thing at that point
Ray Allen in 2008. Ray was traded to the Celtics that year. He became the third option on that Championship team. But he beat out Danny Granger that year who happened to be the league leading scoring that year.
You obviously didn't see Korver play that year the offense was being channelled from Korver' s threat as a three point threat creating open players spreading out the court. His passes where carefully selected in such a way to make an extra pass to avoid him getting assists by the catching player either dribbling that extra dribble , or making the extra pass. Keeping him under the radar.
The problem is there just weren't many options. Not to mention it's all about basic boxscore stats. That's how Rose was voted mvp when his team was better +/- without him. That not valuable.
I saw the thumbnail and if you think Kyle Korver didn’t deserve his all star that year you’re delusional and need to find another sport to make videos on
I’ll get you banned from TH-cam for your attitude and making basketball fans look embarrassed for what you said to them for encouraging them to find another sport to make videos on. It also will give you jail time for 9 months for calling them delusional.
I remember 2016-17 every one was voting for lakers starting 5 by non lalkers fans, tired of hearing le bron lebron lebron🤣 the kicker Alex Curuso have more vote than real star point guard🤣🤣
As long as fan voting was a thing, Yao was going to be an All-Star for his entire career due to the population of China. He was popular worldwide as well.
Don Buse definitely should have been an all star in 1976. He averaged 13 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals a game. That’s pretty similar to Jason Kidd in 2010. But yeah he didn’t deserve it in 1977 where he only averaged 8 points, 9 assists, 3 rebounds, and 4 steals. He dropped off by 4 points and his team didn’t make the playoffs like the previous year
If fans still 100% controlled all star selections, Tacko Fall and Alex Caruso would be all star starters.

No mention of Wade and Dirk in 2019?
"November 10, 2010, was the last game Yao would ever play in the NBA---"
Bryce Harper: TIME TO PLAY SOME BASEBALL
In 1952-1953 Bill Gabor averaged 9.4 points with 1.9 assists and 1.5 rebounds on 35% shooting and he was an all-star. I still don't get this selection, I can't find out how this happened.
Kobe did just about the same if not worst and got voted in a starter
7.6ppg 1.9 rpg 1.3 apg 41.7% shooting
Meanwhile Mike Conley: am I a joke to you?
What about him?
Kyle Korver definitely deserved it because he shot 40/50/90 on the season! Before the all star break he was shooting 50/50/95. An amazing run for anyone!
Korver definitely deserved his selection...

Off topic, Christian Laettner over Shaq or Isaiah Thomas on the "92 dream team.... Just saying 🤷
IT wasn't on the team because Jordan said in order for him to join them, they had to keep IT off the team
Don't forget Joe Johnson's 2013-2014 season. And Jayson Williams all star appearance.
whay about the last time kobe was selected? that was pure popularity selection
Right. Kobe even told his fans not to vote for him.
?? he averaged nearly 28 ppg over 58 games in 2012 wtf
Great video. I think kyle korver did deserve to be an all star and also you forgot to mention he was an injury replacement for wade.
Ray Allen in 2008. Ray was traded to the Celtics that year. He became the third option on that Championship team. But he beat out Danny Granger that year who happened to be the league leading scoring that year.
I was waiting to see all DeAndre Jordan’s all-star appearances up here
You obviously didn't see Korver play that year the offense was being channelled from Korver' s threat as a three point threat creating open players spreading out the court. His passes where carefully selected in such a way to make an extra pass to avoid him getting assists by the catching player either dribbling that extra dribble , or making the extra pass. Keeping him under the radar.
D-wade and dirk in 2019, KG in 2013
d wade and dirk were special editions
@Rice Its called not being biased, I like KG but I never understood how he got selected that year
@Rice LOL, Ik i wasn't that serious either
The problem is there just weren't many options. Not to mention it's all about basic boxscore stats. That's how Rose was voted mvp when his team was better +/- without him. That not valuable.
I was here before u had 1k subs ur hard work payed off
I saw the thumbnail and if you think Kyle Korver didn’t deserve his all star that year you’re delusional and need to find another sport to make videos on
He only averaged 12 points and wasn’t a good passer or defender. Don’t know why your so upset about that take.
He was a replacement, and helped lead the hawks to the no. 1 seed, I think we can say he kinda deserved it
I’ll get you banned from TH-cam for your attitude and making basketball fans look embarrassed for what you said to them for encouraging them to find another sport to make videos on. You are a disgrace to them because you should not do that and it’s gonna take them quite a while to note the rules of the sport and get used to it. It also will give you jail time for 9 months for calling them delusional.
Yao was the leader voter as a rookie too
Korver deseve it ... and vlade divac too ... i believe a team with the best record should have atlease two guys in all star ... even maglore man
I remember 2016-17 every one was voting for lakers starting 5 by non lalkers fans, tired of hearing le bron lebron lebron🤣 the kicker Alex Curuso have more vote than real star point guard🤣🤣
As long as fan voting was a thing, Yao was going to be an All-Star for his entire career due to the population of China. He was popular worldwide as well.
He was.
Made the ASG every year for his entire [8] year career (only player to ever do that).
Ty for the videos always look forward to seeing your videos
Wade and Nowitzki 2019?
Dirk only averaged 7.3 Points and 3.1 Rebounds with 35% FG
guodah77 They put them in the all star game because it was their last year in the league. So basically it was just to celebrate their great careers.
Wade did well in 2019 even though He was a 6th Man. But He averaged 15 points, 4 rebounds and 4.2 Assists.
He dropped off by 4 points and his team didn’t make the playoffs like the previous year
Roy Hibbert came to mind before I watched the video ahah
6:42 who the hell gets blocked by Korver cmon.
I knew Kobe was gone be on here
