- Crystal Hunting In Colorado is so much fun! Come along and find out how we mine and meet a few friends as well! The main goal is to have a good time and be safe, yet you'll still find a few big crystals with us in the process!
Oh man, the smile on that guy's face when he said "you should take that home with you, that's a really nice one, very rare." I couldn't help but smile too, what a great experience
I like the educational part of the video where they explain how to use the land in an ethical way by replacing the vein, and then the topsoil.
Soooo much fun and wonder!! Thank you for the crystal, it is held close to my heart.
Yay one person gets a mining claim, so no one else can touch it. Wooo Hooo. So happy for you.
So very glad you reclaim your sights. As a club member that’s having extreme problems with jumpers not filling in holes, I’m so very proud of ya’ll.
I was just on Mt Buckhorn on Sunday digging Amazonite with the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society. I wish I'd have been with you guys too!
I’m visiting from Texas in September. I’ve always been a rock lover. I would love to find some of these or just be there to witness it. It’s so amazing what beautiful things the earth produces. Any places you can recommend for a beginner the has public access or guided tours? Thank you for taking care of the land!!!!
I've been trying for over a year now. It's honestly a matter of luck as well as spending a lot of time searching. Personally I can tell you a few places to go but I still have yet to find amazonite or smokies. I can tell you where to find calcite crystals and selenite of several types in one area. Rough flourite in another area that has other things I haven't found yet.
I'm so proud of my little brother ❤️ (and I see that gradient 👀 - I'm not the only one 😉)
Hello from France, I love al the video about great mineral discovery, you did great job in this big hole and thanks for thinking about the next generation. I am planning a trip in Colorado to do some rockhounding. Like others I do not want to break any rules. So I would love to have someone to show me around and dig with enthusiasm. I used to live in Fort Collins and I will be staying mostly in Northern Colorado. Jean-Patrick "JP"
Way Way Cool!
I'm in Colorado Springs, and I will gladly pay to go out on a trip with you. I know there's a ton of places to hunt here but I can't seem to find any tours available, or information on BLM land where collecting is permitted. I don't want to break any rules or step on anyone's toes so I'm looking for someone to show me the ropes. Great video! And I love that you aim to preserve the land, that's great.
If you are in the Colorado Springs area, I would love to take you out sometime. Ben rockhounding in the Pikes Peak batholith since 2008. In my opinion, one of the best activities in all of Colorado!
@@herokillerinc Hey Doug, yeah my wife and I live in the Briargate area. I'd love to meet up and discuss heading out on a dig. How can I send you a private msg?
@@herokillerinc You can find my email address on my channel under "About". Feel free to shoot a msg anytime. Thanks!
Did you guys end up going out, I just moved from Missouri and am looking to go out and learn
Hey man, I did not see your email in your about section. I am douglasvon 157 at the most common email address there is. When I actually List It it will not let me post it. Hand, it starts with a g and then with mail. Look forward to hearing from you.
Super appreciate the ethical rockhounding education in addition to succinct pegmatite excavations. ( :
When your amazonite has the green blue and has a bit of a glassy look, you got the goody good...... I have only evwr found one and it was about the size round as a quarter. ✌️
that clastic material looks amazing :O
Good to see a new video. Good times digging.
what trail is this on in CO?!!!! love this video!!!! amazing
Do you know a good crystal hunting spot in Colorado springs
Buddy Helm I’m wondering as well too !
EVERYWHERE!
Springs is one of the most mineral rich areas in the nation.
I found 5 lb rose quartz surface crystal on main path the other day in teller county ❤ I wanna go rock hunting more but hate going alone.🤪
@@GabrielleDeVille1 I will go rock hunting with you
@@RainbowBodyWisdom I would, but only go with people I know for safety reasons , plus I kinda need a female rock hunting partner unless they friends with my man or group im hunting with, I dont really hang with guys without him ❤ had some bad experiences. Sometimes being a female isnt so simple in today's world. Ugh do you live in the springs
You’re in Palmer park!!!
Was this a guided tour you did? How much to go on one of those?
Have you guys ever hunted Southeast CO. Around Spanish peaks area?
Chrysocolla gem silica is my favorite stone 😍
Does anybody know any good Crystal collecting areas around Leadville? Me and the family will be camping in a couple weeks up there. Thank you!
Mt. Antero, Ruby mtn by Salida/Buena Vista. That area is pretty packed but beware of the crap load of private property.
Is this site open to the public or is it your claim?
My parents moved to Colorado Springs last year. I gave them a visit mid April and was saddened that I couldn’t find a place to public dig for my first time. I tried my best but didn’t find anything in my 3 trips while visiting. I’m going back in just a couple weeks and have been researching off and on for the last 6 months where I should/could go
If this comment gets read, I certainly am looking for some guidance and of course would pay for that kind service
try driving to Florissant
and going to a pay to dig site there are many
also message miners on ig
like the ones in lake george ask to dig with them
also heard st pete overlook take the main trail about a mile

Can I purchase some of your fantastic efforts?
Bro that’s sick!! If your ever in canon city hit me up let go hounding
What kind of gems are these?
I realize you area professional miner but I am so glad you are concerned with the environment. I nag people about refiling their hoes after they dig nut most just leave them. That is some really nice pieces you have and I would like to work some of that. We are going to be visiting Colo. before to long so I will try to look you up. I lived in Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction for several years but unfortunately was not into rocks. It is now my passion. Am subbing you. Havagudun my new friend.
Does anyone know any good spots in Idaho springs to find crystals??💗
