I stumbled on this video looking for ATV expeditions and wow. I always assumed Idaho would have miles and miles of trails. Looks like a best kept secret for sure assuming that is still the case 3 years later. I ride in central new york so the thought of virtually limitless ATV legal trails and roads WITH trailside camping options sounds like heaven! Thanks for uploading.
We rode this same area a few months back. Such an amazing place to ride ! Slate Creek was absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait to get back up and ride this area again.
Looks like a blast! I highly highly recommend maxxis bighorn tires for your riding! They are much tougher than stock tires and will ride and grip much better.
Hey are you still here on TH-cam? tried your link and no luck I would love to get a copy of the route you took in North Idaho wow what a great trip.. thanks
If you still have footage from this trip, it would be awesome to see separate videos for each day, hopefully 30 minutes plus, as I mentioned in a comment on another video. I rerun all your vids periodically 🙂
Thanks guys! Great ride and brings back so many many memories of that area. Hope the Spokane members can make it over that way. Lots of work making this 10 min video. Very nicely done. Look forward to your next Overland Adventure!!!! Nyroc
my favorite trail near wallace, idaho starts on the north side of the champion creek bridge, splits, and ends at 2 locations, both on the old railroad track which is now a great atv road.
As a Southern Idaho resident I'm going to have to put Northern Idaho to my list of rides I need to take. It looks really beautiful up there. Great video 👍
we own property on the st joe...its gorgeous...and luckily this year i got me a atv to do some exploring..we are right on the old railroad grade tooooons of old logging roads to explore.crossing that bridge you did at marble creek you were probably 1.5 miles from our property.
Hey ATV Overland, I have to say, as an avid ATV'er, I really enjoy your videos. The trail systems you show are just spectacular. My only gripe is that I wish the videos were longer lol! Keep up the great work and Happy Riding!!
I live and ride mostly in Southern Idaho and Northern Nevada. Somewhat different kind of trails (dryer, for sure), but fun and exciting. Your video is outstanding. One of the best I've seen on TH-cam. I will have to head north in the near future and check out the trails "up there." I'll be sure to check out your site.
Well done video. Amazing area. Scenery is spectacular but a tiny bit turned off on how easy the trails are. I think I would go for the scenery but try to find some challenging trails also. Anyway, thanks for making this video!
I would like to see a video on you reviewing your four wheeler’s and gear set up. Interested in what type of tote you have on the back of your four wheeler’s and fuel cans
Lucky is right. Thanks for compliment. Can't wait to return, hopefully next summer. Our trip this year was cancelled due to the amount of snow still there late June.
I saw that you had an issue with the snow which you said kept you at lower altitudes. What dates were you riding. I see the video is posted in June. Thanks and great videos
Awesome video going to utv the whole state from July to August! Just was wondering if there's a lot of 50 inch or less trails? Or is there plenty of trails for UTV's over 50 in wide? Happy trails!
Will be an awesome adventure. In Idaho, it's pretty much 50 inch trails or forest roads. But, some of the forest roads are more like wide trails perfect for UTV's.
@@danharris5873 It'll be great either way you go. I would review the forest service motor vehicle use maps for the area you are going to and determine what kind of trails you are going to be riding. It could be that the area you are visiting doesn't have any 50" trails, so it might not matter. Riding the forest service roads would be fun as well.
Great video, but I think we would turn it into a 6 day ride, we like to putt along and rest up in camp in the afternoons. I'm surprised you made it through the snow this early in the year, must of been some pretty good route planning to pull this off.
Thanks for commenting and watching. Since this was our first trek in Idaho, we had one mission, cover as much ground as possible. Given that, we didn't start picking out camp sites until 8:00 +. Actually was planning another night / day on the trails, but some thunderstorms were pushing in, so we had to cut the trip short. We were lucky we could get through the snow. Just melted enough to expose some bare spots which definitely helped. Can't wait to return to Idaho later this year.
Yes, it's grizzly country. It never used to be when I grew up there, but I have seen several over the last few years. There are lots of wolves now, too.
great video guys, how did you animate the map in the beginning? i want to make a video like this for a trip i am going to do soon. what editing software do you use as well?
I'd love to load up my quad and spend three days riding the backcountry. Unfortunately, it's a 31h drive from my driveway to the starting point. Maybe one day........
