    Exactly how I'm going to get from the land in the deep wilderness to whatever small town to get supplies, just going to get a longer and enclosed trailer. May 30th I'm leaving for Alaska, it's almost here and I cannot wait 😊

      @@idahoprepper I'm going to use summer this year to figure out which region I want to buy land in, and when winter hits I'm going to either save money and hunker down, supply up and wait the winter out. Or not save money and get a motel. Come next spring I should know which region, buy the land and start building my cabin. I may buy a GoPro and document some of this.

    You need to add a 200w foldable solar panel set. I built my own solar generator and with the panels I’m able to run my 12v fridge and not worry about lack of juice. They don’t take up any room. Another idea would be a good quality canvas tarp to lash over your gear in your trailer. You have a rain jacket for yourself but your gear would all be soaked.

    Nice setup. Got the same trailer but with tandem axles, I also bolted down a piece of 3/4” plywood to the bottom for tossing firewood into it. Prevents it from getting dented up or a spot weld breaking.

    iTS A Good base to start with. First, id take the side rails to a fab shop and have em extended by a foot. You can take a piece of 2 in pvc pipe heat it and squish it oblong except 1 end needs nearly closed. Zip tye this on a 45ish deg slant on the side rail and put your long ax in this. Then move the 10/22 upfront. Put a waterproof cover over your gear. Gas n oil for the machine, and since ya got so much room might add a 14in chainsaw with its stuff. Wont take alot of room , and a big time saver. You mentioned a winch already , but id also add a com-along and a shovel.

    I was up in Panhandle NF today hiking around. I try and get up there to hike every few days. That vehicle would be excellent to get down some of those closed logging roads or to stash on one of the innumerable small trails that come out of the forest. A chainsaw would be absolutely critical. There is a new deadfall every few days, it seems. And a shovel. You might have to do some basic road building.

  • @davidmcpherson9260
    @davidmcpherson9260 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    Nice. Only thing I would do is figure out a way to raise the ground clearance on the trailer and find a way to make those wheels and tires fit tge vehicle in case of multi flat tires. You can then ditch the trailer and keep moving...and no spare gas??

    • @vadrifter3200
      @vadrifter3200 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This was also a thought in my head. Modify the trailers axle hubs to be able to fit the same wheels and tires as the atv. Also modify the hitch. More ground clearance the better. Other than that I think it’s a good setup. Oh, where is the 12 gauge going to mount?

    I enjoy bushcrafting, learning skills and hearing others share their experiences. I believe in having a three day survival/get home bag. It makes sense to prepare. But to be honest almost everyone knows that beneath all of this is the idea that we need to prepare for surviving the end of civilization. Yes we talk about that too but never or almost never talk about that unsolvable and Un survivable problem of what do you eat after your supplies are gone. You simply cannot get enough calories or protein from the plants and edibles you can gather in the wild. And hunting and fishing is so hit or miss that it cannot be depended on. So all of the youtubers chose to simply not deal with this issue. Did you know that the winner of Alone season 9 stuffed himself before the challenge gaining 60 lbs of fat just so he could survive the Un survivable longer than the others? This is the biggest problem that hangs over all preppers and survivalists and bushcrafters and no one will talk about it. Let's put this on the table and deal with it.
