I'm trying to do something similar with my shed but want to take down one of the original side walls to have a bigger open space. I'm still at the planning stage and am taking a lot of time to try and figure out how to do it. This video helped me get some ideas. Thanks
It came out really nice. I’m in Florida soI would have had to do it a little bit different. For me I would have to extend the right side of the pre-existing shed roof and extended it up to the mid point of the new footprint.
Yup never built anything like this but after this 9 min video my toxic trait is I think I can do it with ease… what was your part list/cost if you don’t mind
Nice job. Working on doing the same exact thing with my shed. Did you peel off the old roofing before nailing down new rafters? And did you need to line the new roof rafters up to the old ones to carry the new load of the roof?
Came here to say thank you so much for an excellent Timelapse and proof of concept
Wow great job, you have skills and a very strong work ethic 👍👍

Excellent job, very inspiring.
I like your style keeping on going when it gets dark!
Fantastic extension. Well done.
Nice job. And an inspiration!
Looks great! I like the colors. Looks like Florida State Seminoles colors(Garnet and Gold)

how much did you spent$$$, just to have an idea?
I don't really remember, but probably just under $1,000.
PLEASE respond as I want to do this exact thing!!! how did you handle the ridge of roof???
I cut the 2x4 at the angle of the existing roof, you can see at 1:40m. Then, I added some braces to the middle of the run, you can see at 2:16m.
Has it held up? The a ridge cap over old and new??

@@loubonaparte5063Yes sir, no issues at all.
Considering the roof pitch , do the shingles leak?
No leaks so far. 🤞
What kind of paint did you use.
Valspar Duramax, Exterior Flat, Skinny Latte and Valspar Duramax, Exterior Flat, Royal Garnet, both from Lowe's.
