Happy I found your youtube channel! I was listening to "Sunergy" while biking along the San Francisco Bay Shoreline and a monarch butterfly flew beside me while i peddled down the path for maybe 100m. It doesn't sound like much, but the combination of the setting with the music and encounter with a beautiful fluttering insect was as close to a spiritual experience as I think I've ever had. I look forward to more of your work (hopefully some more with Suzanne Ciani ).
Such a beautiful musical realization. I love your sensibility for timbres and space. A soundtrack waiting for a movie. You've put my day in perspective!
Kaitlyn you are the queen of the synths. your work is blessed by mother nature who gives us an insight in her beuty through your synth creations! so blessed to hear your/natures music!
Very nice watching you compose music on that instrument. Reminds me of my days at Mills college in their electronic music program. Lovely compositions.
really lovely! I've just got hold of an SMR and been playing with it with Tempi for some great chord stuff. Think I need to sit with the manual though to fully understand programming custom scales, but this is truly inspiring. cheers for uploading. :)
just stumbled into your channel I am listening to a lot of modular stuff as i plan on building a mod system from scratch....really enjoy your work I can hear a few musical melody lines you have going + rhythm beat it feels like world music meets smooth jazz in a modular context very cool
I listen on my Edirol studio monitors. They're not great but they sound better than most computer speakers. This is great stuff! I just got here after catching some Morton Subotnic. Very cool stuff. Thanks!
I love modulars, working with them, listening to them, etc. But sometimes in my very own perspective the instrument nature lacks progression and cohesiveness. I've found myself more than 90% of the time lost in randomness, loosing feeling and coherence with other pieces of work done in other media. After a while working with it I found myself using it more as a post processing tool. This video is opening my ears again, It is uncommon to listen to a piece of work made with a modular that has a sound signature in it not made by the instrument itself but by the composer. Does this makes any sense??
@Adrian Menendez This is more than likely because you are listening within a framework of more traditional musical forms. An Oboe will always sound like an Oboe no matter what particular string of notes are being played on it. Once you have accepted that Modular Synthesis is its own form, that perception will begin to change and you will see that what appears as randomness becomes a new language. Yes, the beauty of Analog is the fact that you never 100% duplicate what you've done before. Perhaps this is why you are more comfortable using them as signal processors rather than sound generators. You need to fully know exactly what you have to begin with before it is altered.
sonically, and voltage wise. so many haters of eurorack out there. I love them. more for us. harowwizard you are so right. amazing how ignorance breads contempt.
Beautiful! I‘m torn between Tempi and Pamela for timed events. Since Kaytlin isn‘t answering any questions maybe someone else can share their thoughts on this?
@@CarlsbadSGP2007 Yes. I went for Pamela not long after I asked the initial question and bought a second one a short while ago. It can do so much and is very easy to use.
I’ve been watching this video for years now. Brings me lots of wonder and inspiration. Thanks
This by far one of the most remarkable materials in the internet today.
Thanx for sharing this look into your composition process.
indeed
A great combination of technology and human being, isn't it?
Beautiful, full of space & texture, I hear the Terry Riley influence, "Rainbow in curved air"
rocked my world too.
Good music is supposed to make you feel something. This cradles me in a warm electronic blanket. Gorgeous.
This is one of the most coherent pieces that I've heard on a modular.
So cool!

This is the most musical performance with modular synth I've heard for many years. Wonderful!!!!
Such a beautiful musical realization. I love your sensibility for timbres and space. A soundtrack waiting for a movie. You've put my day in perspective!
Gratifyingly complex. Love it!
brilliant, beautiful, and sounds amazing in full surround! thank you, Kaitlyn. I was just introduced to your work.
I think this is the first modular demo I've seen that features natural sunlight!
Having discovered modular synth through LMNC, I think this is the first time I've seen a synth not look like it's about to fall over.
Have you checked out ann annie? He often films his music out in nature.
It's west coast style! lol
Love the bursts of syncopated rhythms. They seem to go well with the colored flares that appear in the picture every now and then.

This is great love all those modular sounds. Very calming but at the same time busy and random.
Thank you for showing us an up close look at your wonderful performance ❤
Such a late comer to your channel. Inspiring stuff. Love it

Really great. Raising the bar with this beautiful composition.
So beautiful! Love the sunlight in the video too
I think the tempi is the most enjoyable clock to use in eurorack.
That's simply gorgeous!
I love hearing polyphony on a modular!
Blowing me away with the precision❤ ✨️ 🔥 subscribed
I absolutely love what you are doing. I hope that you do some live pieces sometime in the future, I would love to see it done in person :)
Love this so much
Thanks for the detailed patch notes!

Modular doing what modular does. Interesting soundscape with some nice modules. Nice rig.

Very nice Modular setup
I just ate a sandwich to this and I don't regret it.
Lovely composition
you're a dope musician. i would love to see you book an ambient set with tipper someday!
Still trying to find out how you get the SMR to sound like this, rather than its typical merry-go-round sound.
This is magical.

Very Nice. Thanks for sharing. I'm always interested to hear what other Muff Wigglers are doing

Very nice indeed..Thanx
Cool. Fun sounding!
I need to start using this as my alarm clock lol way less annoying but equally as awakening....
wicked! thanks for sharing!
I just want to know how you managed to get that Make Noise case to sit so stable with the handle down!!! Looks awfully precarious!
Wow!! That is great!! I love it!
