Thank you soooooooooo much for any and all 61-63 content!!!! I'm a complete newbie and am trying to restore my 62 Tbird Convertible, and your videos have been invaluable.
Thanks Leonard, glad to help.
That's quite the door latch assembly, not complicated at all! Lol
Thanks for showing us how it all goes together. 👍👍
The hardest part is getting your arm in there to remove and reinstall the push button assembly. Once again, you have to be a contortionist.
As always great info. I took apart the doors on my 65 in a hurry because I had a deadline to get it to the sandblaster. Luckily I have a 64 coupe that is all together for reference.
Yes, I have found that it is always helpful to have a spare car to use as a reference. Why do you think I bought 2 Cadillacs? Its my bull shit excuse and Im sticking with it. lol
I pulled the latch assembly out from my 64 tbird to clean and grease, then got it all back together with door card reinstalled. then a few days later I could not find my rechargeable Astro work light and a week later after that it dawned on me that the last time that I had used it was working on that door. door card partially back off and sure enough there is was where I left it inside the door. those regulator rollers always seem to need replacing.. thanks
Hey David, yes we have all made those dumb mistakes. Losing or misplacing tools seems to be a regular occurrence around here.
Hey, i actually need this one
Well, now you know how to fix it. Good luck.
great video, just what the doctor ordered!! Can the latch assembly be removed with those rods attached?
Hey there, I have a 63 landau, I live in Aurora CO. Is your shop open to the public? I need some help with these coil springs, they're no joke. Thanks, Ethan
Hey Ethan, yes I can help you. I am one man so things go slowly and I have some cars ahead of you. email me at tamie.nick@sbcglobal.net and we can talk about bringing your car in. I am located in Falcon, just east of Colorado Springs. Thanks.
