I built and recorded lots of custom levels for this video, to help the gameplay feel really real! I hope you enjoyed. What was your favorite moment? Did you ever get genuinely creeped out?
I'd actually be interested in seeing this turned into a game. Mushrooms could be something you need to eat every now and then to slow down the growth of "god", but doing so would make Mario vomit so you can't do so while enemies are chasing you lest you take damage or die. Not sure what else could be done in terms of unique mechanics but it'd be cool simply seeing more enemy designs and plant-infested environments.
I'd also like to see it turned into a game. And I have an idea for that mushroom thing, were you must be careful about what mushroom your eating, making sure you don't eat a toad!
@@Joseph_Drew_III That could be cool, like a lot of sci-fi fiction where a character explores an alien world, only now the alien is the one exploring our world which is in the process of being taken over by horrific plants.
Maybe the vomit itself can be used to slow down enemies? Or even dealing damage due the its acidic nature? But vomiting would hinder Mario's movement, unable to sprint and only able to short jump like in paper mario.
@@iTrapa That seems a bit counter intuitive because you'd want to save the mushrooms to stave off "god's" growth as much as possible, but maybe it'd work.

So from what I can gather, Mario is essentially either trapped in a nightmare plant based version of sarasaland by malicious forces, or *the actual land is being taken over by said forces.* For this instance instead of being fully consumed, Mario seems to be the chosen carrier of this plague (which is apparently also the god of these malicious forces) so that they can infect as many and quickly as possible. Either way, the situation is very dire for Mario. He's going to have to figure out how to stop these forces before they decide he's no longer useful.
This is marvellous. Such an utterly compelling and cohesive blend of mediums. The emotion it invokes is gripping. I've never seen anything like this in my life. You are such an incredible artist.
Yikers, got chills from the "stepped on by the vessel of god" part. Part one had been one of my personal favorites of yours, so needless to say, this follows in the first's footsteps.
I loved this animation! It's so off-putting in just a few small ways. I would love if this grew into a story where Mario & Wario had to survive the "plague" we see here. Especially given Wario would become the series protagonist with Mario Land 3, him being here would be the best!
The toad transforming actually caught me off guard, so based on what we saw Mario went through Sasaraland and saved “daisy” but it was really the “god of this world” that based on the dream and first one, implanted themselves inside Mario. The toads in this place worship this god so much that being stomped on by the holder makes them feel “Ecstasy “ what Mario saw wasn’t a dream, it was based on the first vid. Mario Is basically going to end the world if whatever’s inside him gets out, it’s influence on this land seems to have grown out of control and it wants to spread that influence, but this is my interpretation of it, what do y’all thino

This was so good! Part 3 is gonna be a rollercoaster of an episode for sure. I'm also curious if the Eldrich-Mario we saw in the "dream" was his actual Godly form, or some kind of in-between stage? 🧐
Most I fear wont appreciate this, but i love that you put the cave aspects both in front and behind, because game developers were still doing this at the time of the Game Boy.
