- This masterpiece by Francois Demarchy and Alberto Morillas is an intriguing release, as it manages to combine leather and deep woody nuances while remaining a fresh citrus summer cologne.
The contrast between the sweet resinous myrrh, the dry leather, and the tart citrus and ginger in the opening form a very smooth, classy, gentlemanly and masculine fragrance.
Just bought this one. It's got the freshness of the original Colonia, but without the "retro" dry down. Very contemporary, very likeable.

I use the intensa as a winter/fall perfume. It smells warm with a sparkly and warm transition after a couple of hours. I think it's too heavy for warm weather. Essenza is my definite go to for everything involving sunny days and warm nights.
I was about to say “Colonia Intensa’s drydown reminds me of Prada Infusion D’Iris Cedre”, but 10 seconds later you broke out the bottle lol. Having sampled both, Colonia Intensa is fantastic. My woody floral musk fragrance of choice is Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli, but I’m strongly considering getting Colonia Intensa as well. Great review!

Really enjoy your channel and all the informations. I just want to know what is the different between Colonia and Intensa, Is it one mild the other stronger. I`ve been using Blu Mediterrane, Essenza and 2 bottles of Colonia, last one still my favor. I`ve thinking to try Le Labo bergamote 22 for a change or back to Colonia. Could you give me some advice, when you have time. Thank you and keep up the good works.
Hey man, I own colonia intensa and just recently testet colonia although it was a quick test in the store and not an in depth one. So colonia original is to me a little bit more bitter and old school if you know what i mean. While the intensa is a beautiful mix of fresh opening and then quickly turns a little bit darker while still being fresh. I am definitely trying to grab fico di amalfi as that smells stunning to me so if you have that one how is the performance for you?
Just picked up a sample and like it as much as Colonia... possibly more (though perhaps a smidge less than Ginepro di Sardegna sadly discontinued). Intensa has a rooty, darker, ginger-spice note in place of being lavender-forward. A bit more musk as well. Still classically masculine but trends younger. Will be buying a full bottle. It's VERY good!
Thumbs up on the automatic Seiko! Fragrances and watches are both dangerous hobbies. Don't even get me started on pinball... :)

Hi Urban Dweller, in this cologne, one of the ingredients is mentioned as MYRTLE . But you say that it is Myrh . Please check and clarify for that. Thank you.
So glad you clarified that. I was on track to look for this but the myrrh comment had put me off.
@@johnborges5938 Actually the ingredient may be in it Myrtle which is a flower. But not the Myrh. I hope so.
I'm glad I found your channel! Great reviews! Wild you consider thus fragrance to be youthful at all, or more mature? Also could you see this used in sports or active, outdoor activities?

Would this work into the Fall and Winter? Signature scent worthy?
In terms of scent profile yes, great as a signature, but I do think it’s a tad light for winter and wears a bit cold and refreshing if you know what I mean.

What's the longevity on this
I get a whole work day with strong projection during that first half. Definitely don’t want to over spray this one
am first, and a frist like !!!! these colognes belongs to the timeless classy colognes (miles178)
this thing is completely on a different (upscale, classy, gentlemanish) level than overhyped(overly sweet) cedrat boise (which i sold because it started to bore me very quickly)
Cedrat Boise gives me a headache sometimes
@@UrbanDwellerNYC yeah, it´s for younger boys ... not mature scent, too sweet ... more into juvenile side than into gentleman classiness!
